Right. Plus I was looking at his youtube channel and he also posted a deleted scene of them playing baseball so there are some feelings there for Nikki, we just have to wait to find out what feelings these are and if she really can put up with him like his family indicated she would have to.

I know I might get some flack for saying this, but he just got done telling everyone on national TV that he wanted to keep things private.  Okay, I respect that.  So what's up with this video??  Very strange to me.   :hidingchair  The pictures are cute, but just confused as to why he posted this now.        Juan Pablo is sending mixed messages.  No bueno.

I hate to assume (because I am ) but I think JP did not want to say anything to TPTB on that day. He will decide what expression of his feelings he chooses to show and where. JMO.

I also posted something elsewhere about the whole rumor that RS spoiled about tptb offering him a large chunk of $$$ to express his love and get engaged on the ATFR. IMO (Again just an assumption on my part and no offense to any diehard fans of tptb  :Smiley: ) that he refused to play ball on that one with tptb and what we saw on the ATFR is his reaction and answer to that. I could be wrong but that is a huge possibility. JP (and Nikki) did not want to be bought. This of course is not something the show would ever admit to since it comes under the canopy of bribery.

I think you hit the nail on the head which speaks to what his dad said about him. JP is strong-willed and stubborn - characteristics that seem to be shared with Nikki. This will be the good news and the bad news in their relationship. However, if anyone is familiar with the book Getting the love you want, the author Harville Hendrix discussed that the power struggle is a natural developmental phase of any romantic relationship. So it's not if there is a power struggle but rather how a couple learns to navigate through it and, more importantly, grow as a result of it.

IMO, there is no power struggle in this relationship or it would be over before it began. JPG is in charge. Period. It's his way or the highway and if his blonde girl doesn't like that, adios, mi amor. Clearly, she's down with it (at least at the moment) judging by her cuddling into him and laughing when he was going off on CH at atfr so we'll see she'll be okay in the longterm. I wouldn't but it's her life and her choice.

I hope it is OK for this forum to say that I think Juan Pablo would be willing to be bought, but NOT to be a puppet; that is how I read his personality. He'd do a whole lot for money and fame (including taking on this show), but he will NEVER let anyone pull his strings.

Sure. All opinions are welcome. I feel he didn't propose to Nikki because a) he wasn't ready and b) he knew the $$$ was on the table to propose and it would look like he took the money over Nikki. I think he was screwed either way!

In my opinion, there is a difference between doing things because you are forced to, or doing them them the way you want and when you want.
I know I act the same, the more people insist, and in an offensive way, the more I am going to say no... Just to do it a little bit later when I decided it is the right way/time. That's what happens when you want to be in control and don't want to give the others the impression that they own you and/or the satisfaction of thinking so. JMHO.

He sang it to her on the LCD, it is on the deleted scenes. He probably wanted to do this at the AFRC, but got pist off for some reason. So, he reacted. I am surprised he even showed up, but I guess he had to cus of the contract.
He seamed very angry. So, if you take a hint, he didn't want to give MF the pleasure. I don't think it 's about privacy, it's more about not giving them what they want. The song has more than 72,000 hit on Utube after only 12 hours so far.

I am hoping and praying that he will calm down by the love and support of those around him. Until then, don't expect him to cooperate with MF or any Naysayers.
