One final rose later, Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis and his girlfriend Nikki Ferrell are making the most of life after the cameras stop rolling. The happy couple attended a friend's wedding in the Dominican Republic this weekend, and they certainly weren't shy as all focus shifted to the Bachelor and his winner.



After posing for a photo with a picturesque backdrop on Ferrell's Instagram account, the dressed-up duo attended the outdoor ceremony on Saturday, March 15, where they were spotted by photographers sharing a quick kiss and laughing together.

The blonde pediatric nurse, 26, looked stunning in a cherry-colored off the shoulder gown with a sheer panel over the shorter skirt. And Galavis, 32, amped up his own fashion game in a classic black tuxedo.



The next day, the couple took a sunset stroll on the beach before meeting up with some of the Bachelor's family members.

Juan Pablo and his girlfriend Nikki Ferrell enjoyed a beachside stroll on Sunday, March 16 in the Dominican Republic.

Though Ferrell and Galavis appear to be doing well after the ABC show wrapped in an explosive finale on March 10, the former professional soccer star had one of the most controversial seasons to date.

Nikki looks like she has lost her tan, well JP too. They both looked so tan earlier when she and him were laying out in the sun on beach chairs. Or is it just the picture of them walking on the beach?

He caused outrage when he refused to propose to Nikki Ferrell after choosing her on the final episode of ABC's The Bachelor and as if that wasn't enough, Juan Pablo Galvais has so far failed to utter the words 'I Love You' to Nikki, even though she has declared herself to him.
As if that wasn't enough to make fans of the show worry about the couple's future happiness, a new picture of them sharing an awkward kiss at the wedding of friends in the Dominican Republic is sure to raise eyebrows.


In the snap, Nikki has her eyes closed as she leans in to pucker up to her boyfriend but Juan Pablo's eyes are open as he looks to the side, appearing more interested in what is going on around him than in the pretty blonde.

He has his arm around Nikki in the picture but while she is leaning towards him, his body is turned away, which anyone with even the slightest understanding of body language will realise is not a good sign.

However, they put on a happy face for their social networking sites with Nikki sharing a picture of them both on Instagram and wrote: 'Wedding fun in the Dominican Republic with @juanpagalavis and this gorgeous view (sic).'

The picture shows Juan Pablo dressed in a dapper suit, looking every inch the perfect groom, as he smiles for the camera.
He posed with his arm around blonde Nikki, who looks beautiful in a red dress.
However, the reality TV contestant does appear to look quite skinny in the gown, with perhaps the excitement of the hectic past few weeks catching up to her.

The couple's wedding fun came soon after Juan Pablo revealed he would never take part in the show again.
Writing in his People blog, he said: 'I will always be thankful for the opportunity, but if you asked me to do it again, I would definitely say, "HELLLLL NOOOOO" jejejejeje (sic).'
No other Bachelor in the history of the show has been as vilified as the single dad  but in his blog he insists people just can't cope with his honesty.

He said: 'When I was announced as The Bachelor, Chris Harrison said, "In the history of this show, no guy has made a greater impact with less screen time." Have you thought about why people apparently liked me at the time? Why I didn't have that much screen time?
'Well, so you guys understand a little bit more, it is because of my honesty and that I don't like drama at all – something that viewers appreciated from the little they saw of me on The Bachelorette.



Fun in the sun: The couple went on vacations together while on TV he was dating other ladies
'I believe my direct approach and honesty unfortunately ended up hurting some of the women and that was never my intention.
'I have always cared deeply about the women and have stayed true to myself and wanted to be respectful of them and not waste their time. I believe I have a different style than others who have been on this show.'
Juan Pablo recently released a touching YouTube video dedicated to the winner that he titled Adventures In Loving You, an odd choice considering he would not tell the beauty he loved her while on the show.

The 3.5 carat diamond Neil Lane ring is reportedly with Bachelor producers.
'You go on [The Bachelor] thinking if there is the connection, you propose,' the former soccer player told People.
'But I don't feel there's a need to propose to somebody if I don't feel 100 percent. I didn't know Nikki. I want to know more, a lot more.'

I think that somehow the photographer/paparazzi managed to get a not very good shot of these two uber beautiful people.  This photo proves that not every shot of the two love birds are staged/set up for post finale publicity as opposed to other prior couples who looked so gorgeous & smiling in every shot.

My takes on upthread discussions:

Gay Comments ... I don't think that there is any conspiracy theory to JuanPa's gay comments or intent to support gay rights by creating discussion. He misspoke and did a poor job of communicating his intended message (and I accept his ESL excuse). It's unfortunate his publicist let him flail and pretty obvious that he is still pained for his comments not being understood.

DWTS ... I wouldn't be surprised if Fleiss/ABC dangled the promise of being on DWTS for most of the airing of his season just to keep him in line. I would have far preferred to see him on DWTS than Sean, who just made me cringe (and I am a fan of SeanCat!!) or Jake (bluck!). JuanPa has great rhythm and it would have been fun to see. BUT ... he also probably would not have not been very receptive to criticism by judges.

Real vs. Reality ... Jason & Molly's podcast is a MUST for serial fans as they give great insight on what happens behind the scenes and the lies that are told (or promises made) to the lead and final contestants. Jason said he was supposed to go at Deanna's F4 (until Graham removed himself) but somehow managed to end F2. Day of proposal Jason said that he saw a text on his handler's phone that they (handler and Jason) were taking next flight out, which was huge red flag as he thought F1 would be staying behind with Deanna. He confronted handler AND another producer ... both assured him he was F1 and convince him to propose (probably to build sympathy for Bachelor intro reel)!! Bottom line ... I really think that Juan Pa is a good guy who meant well and liked Nikki from start (and had her firmly in his F1 position after Vietnam date).

Good Luck Nikki (Bachelorette 2015??) ... I wish them well and will be rooting for them. But ... I don't think that honest-to-a-fault Juan Pablo is the easiest guy to be in a relationship. Nikki also seems to fall for guys who are bit of a challenge as evidence by her last long term boyfriend (which is pure speculation on my part just based on the article). I do think that their relationship is "real" and that they seem very happy. Good for them! I also think that if things don't work out, Nikki is PRIME CANDIDATE to be Bachelorette in 2015. TPTB would have a field day with her intro reel!

Nice post MVMom. If i don't like the couple, i would love to see Nikki as the Bachelorette. But i really wish for JPG and Nikki to have a successful relationship.
