I believe is a kind of celebrity reporter, but for Hispanic athletes. Baseball is his big season in the US, if I remember correctly.

If I remember correctly, officially he works for the Venezuelan Baseball Hall of Fame. He goes around to the different Venezuelan baseball players around the league and collects memorabilia to send back to Venezuela. I believe he also works for his mom who has a promotional company. It was speculated that the restaurant in Miami was one of those, along with the singer who entertained that night and the guy who did the song he sent out for her after the show.

Yes, he was never asked specifically so it remains vague.
As per his bio:
He does scouting for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venezuelan_Baseball_Hall_of_Fame_and_Museum
but he has a college degree ( I think I read it was in marketing from the US college he played soccer with) and his bio also reads sports & music consultant.  He does spend time with Latino athletes from areas other than baseball.  The last such pic was of a boxer and before that quite a few Nascar drivers.  As to music, he is often with Carlos Casado who formerly worked for Sony Entertainment and is now independent so they may be business partners. The guy who recorded his song for Nikki is a former Latin Grammy winner so his music contacts seem to be there.
