Isabel,I wasn't certain either but definitely legit.  
Marlin Park & the Miami "show" date in general was in a way Nikki & JPG's first real date because the producers really had little input in the planning of the events/venues SO the romantic in me thinks it is so special that Nikki will be there watching her man on the mound.  This time they'll have to kiss in the dugout though.   
As to him being selected to throw out the 1st pitch, kudos to the Marlin franchise. Loyalty is beautiful thing.

I'm glad that they also included Nikki in the first pitch duties. It's good you mentioned the bolded, i forgot about their Miami date at Marlin's stadium. This time would be a repeat. It's like serendipity.
