That's the issue I have. First, we don't know that the GD took place in Venice.... RS just says a lie detector test and then castle exploration. But Venice is more palazzo/palace than castle. And would they take guys into Venice for ITMs- I believe we think they didn't stay in Venice.

The picture just raises that inkling of doubt in my mind.

Pardon my completely ignorance but doesn't Venice have castles ? I could have sworn I saw some in the Merchant of Venice .


ETA : Perhaps Mr Write or Momoftrips could help Id the location ?

^^ I suppose the distinction is a fine one, but in Venice there are many palazzos (palaces). When I was there a number of years ago, no castles (the castles in Italy, and most places, are older than most palaces which blend in more with the city) that I remember. And a quick review of the top 40 sight in Venice on Tripadvisor yielded 0 castles, but a number of palaces. A castle generally will have walls/ramparts and often be a number of buildings inside the wall. I

But that's why I said RS (and whoever he got his info from) may not distinguish between a palace and a castle.
