When I zoomed in on her face, it looks more like her mouth is down-turned and sad than a smirk. She has an expressive face and if she was smirking, I think you would see it throughout her face. She's a relatively easy read through her facial expressions and this face reads sad, to me.
I do think she'll handle the rejection relatively well, in the moment, and will withdraw as opposed to throwing a fit. But, she will probably be pissed in the aftermath! All of this is assuming she's not the F1

I agree that those gates are completely different.

It is very likely that both ladies came in from different directions and a different gate.
Clare's gate looks way smaller than Nikki's

Agreed. If you look at the map of the Plantation provided by Mr Write, there appears to be only one gate. Once you are outside that gate, and on the raked beach, as they are, there is nowhere to go but onto a boat.

I'm only going off twitter & instagram, but she looks very happy to me. So, I think she takes it just fine.

That's only due to the distance of where Chris/Clare are at vs Nikki.

Same gate - different sides. If you look at the "Nikki" gate, you'll see cross members on the gate doors. If you look at the "Clare" gate, you see the black hinges. One is coming, one is going - just don't know which one.

Maybe smirk wasn't the right word…but at least we are all in agreement that she isn't crying like earlier post. But, I still say where have we ever had a F2 picture from abc showing a rejected F2 with CH after she has been sent home…..never…….yes in a limo, yes walking to a limo, was cry cry cry etc. and before the finale aired. Just hasn't happened that I can remember. We have had it from previews and we have taken a snapshot of it to sleuth, but we have never had it been released prior to the broadcast. That is just weird to me…..plus with CH….

They could be the same but my reasoning is that the handle holes would be visible or let light through in both photos if they were.

Oh, I agree, I was just thinking immediately after, when they do the rejected limo ride, or boat ride? I'm sure once she got out of the bubble, she realised it was for the best and, hopefully (still one episode left), was glad she didn't tarnish the special memories her dad left for her by showing the wrong man her dvd.
