I'm a little confused. I went back to see was being referenced and I didn't see anything negative directed at anyone. All I read was opinions. Personally, I did mention not to be doom and gloom but that wasn't aimed at anyone in particular. If it was construed as such, I'm sorry about that.

I, for one, wasn't addressing you when I made my comments last night. And this drama is kinda why I've been thinking more and more about leaving here and going private. I don't need the drama in my life. I deal with enough crap in my daily life. And people need to not take things so personally, because there will be miscommunications and disagreements on a message board.

Lipsis, yes, you did say that and everyone hung onto those words and started toasting to it. Who else was it aimed at if not me, since I started the conversation about having concerns about them. I felt mocked by my opinion and that is not okay.

I wrote a long post in that thread, the twitter thread, and it was there for half an hour and not one person responded,yet they were posting other stuff. I feel hurt by the responses last night and the lack of responses this morning. I've decided that this time I'm leaving the board for good, because I feel pretty ganged up on last night by all the posts saying how down and negative I was. I felt like I have no right to an opinion on this board, and therefore why would I want to post anything in the future.

I vowed to never post on this board again due to its rigidity and judgemental tone, but I'm breaking that vow to support what you said. Overall this is a fantastic, well run message board but the fan threads tend to become narrower and narrower in focus and less and less welcoming. People, this is not a private board. There should be a place for opinions that are expressed in a respectful manner without the posters being dismissed as haters, or jealous, or ill informed. If a thoughtful comment from someone like Ilove is not tolerated, then you can imagine how intimidated and turned off the "silent majority" is!

Who were you addressing then? I'm the one who made the initial comment about having concerns. You said that if it's going to be this way every time something happens, then you'll have to start drinking, then people started toasting to no more doom and gloom. How could I not take it personally. I felt mocked by my opinion. It's easy to say now it wasn't directed at me, but how can I believe that? I'm the one that made the comment.

And I hate drama and that's why I'm not going to post anymore. I'll be lurking, if anyone wants to talk to me you can send me a PM.

And you weren't the only one who said something. This wasn't just because of last night. My comments are based on a long standing trend. If I was addressing you I would have quoted you.

So sorry to see this issue cause such an unpleasant discussion in this usually happy board. Seancats, we all have disagreements in the "real world" with friends and you can get pissed and angry for a while. I personally did not see anything really intended as a dig to one particular individual, just an idea and many people are coming forward and agreeing with Ilove There's merit to both sides of a healthy difference in opinion and we can't let these differences split us. That would be the total shame. All the people involved are valued members of the board and we have been through a lot together.
I personally don't agree with the concern about Sean and Catheterizes future and respectfully feel that Sean and Catherine will not be swayed by fame other than as a tool to build a bank account for the future.
That being said I think we need to take the tome to reflect and forgive if a hurt was caused. You would react to a friend by saying this will blow ever let's forget about it. I really hope that happens here. Remember the gorgeous wedding we all experienced together and bring back that feeling of joy.

iloveromance, I think your feelings are legitimate because I believe everyone's feelings are legitimate. And feeling unwell physically definitely doesn't help. You have every right to feel how you feel.

From my perspective, I didn't see anyone singling you out, ganging up or making a mockery of your comments. You certainly weren't the only person who posted something. I didn't read anything that looked like it could be a personal response to you. It looked like a very natural, respectful flow of opinions. Not saying that you aren't, but many people here are fully confident in Sean and Catherine's relationship, so they express that confidence in their own ways, the same as you expressed your concern.

I hope you feel better soon. I know that I will miss your posts.

Totally agree! Ilove, you know I'm your #1 fan! Many of us will miss you if we don't see 'iloveromance' :pinkcry:

I hope everyone will get along here no matter what is the post is all about. I am in full agreement that "everyone is entitled to their own opinions and everyone should respect that". But sometimes having a problem with several opionions couldn't help. You guys are awesome and I know you are the sweetest people on this board . Hopefully whatever is going on we can all move on and keep the good energy of this board. After all we are all the supporters of the lowes.
