Sean and Catherine Lowe - General Discussion

I have listened to his testimony several times and am struck each time at what a Godly committed young man he is. Loved everything he said.

I do have one bone to pick with him though. He said, and has said before, that on that last day he had to make the toughest decision of his life. I really don't think he means it was a tough decision but a tough thing to do - to tell Lindsey she was not his choice. I think the decision was easy!

^Yeah the decision wasn't tough, but the action of following through with that decision (telling Lindsey good-bye) was the extremely tough part for him since he always hated being the bad guy and making other people hurt.

I agree MO5! He sort of cleared it up by saying 'someone who thought she was going to get proposed to' but the way he worded it could have been better.

I'm leaving this board for good this time. I posted something last night that was my opinion. It was an opinion coming from a very, very huge fan of Sean/Catherine. I love them and support them very much. I had some concerns about him going back to tv so soon after the wedding, I knew the fans and media would most likely say he was after fame and I had hoped he would wait a little before doing that.

I wrote very little in my original post. But then this morning I come on here, after being sick last night with 102 fever. And to my surprise, I read post after post talking about what a downer it was to read my post, about how negative it was. Since when is voicing an opinion negative? Am I suppose to only say how wonderful they are day and night, even when I have a concern about something. And who is anyone to tell me what I can and cannot say? Only the MODS have the right for that, and they surely would not object to me having an opinion about my FAVORITE couple. If someone like me, who loves them so much, has concerns, then the general public will as well. Why can't there be a conversation about that? Why does anyone have the right to dictate where the conversation can and cannot go?

I wrote a long post in that thread, the twitter thread, and it was there for half an hour and not one person responded,yet they were posting other stuff. I feel hurt by the responses last night and the lack of responses this morning. I've decided that this time I'm leaving the board for good, because I feel pretty ganged up on last night by all the posts saying how down and negative I was. I felt like I have no right to an opinion on this board, and therefore why would I want to post anything in the future.

Ilove, I'm really disturbed to think you would even think of leaving us. Many times we've stated an opinion and other people have a different view and it's a whole bunch of posts stating this opposite view. I speak for myself but I'm sure other members of the board will agree, I really care about you, you're so talented and emotional and supportive of Seancat. Don't let one thing stand out and bother you enough to take such a drastic step. We are all involved in the diversity of this board and every member is valued.
You all stood by me at the most difficult time in my life and you were there for me Ilove.

ilove, I hope you're feeling better this morning. I'm sorry you feel badly regarding reactions to your post. I didn't respond to your post negatively nor positively because as everyone else, you are entitled to your opinion, as well as everyone else who decide to lurk are entitled to be silent. I agree most of us practice the, "if you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all" hence we seem to have become a fansite. But, I'm glad that you are brave enough to practice, "If you have nothing good to say, say something memorable." (wink). I hope this is not your last post - see you around.

I hope you don't leave this board. I did post a very short statement after you did about how I feel. I am also very disappointed by his action. I feel that Cat might support him but I am not sure she is happy. Especially because tomorrow is Valentine's day. There are times, I don't bother posting my concerns because everyone does not want to hear anything else. As much as I love them. I dont have my rose colored glasses on all the time.

So you are not alone. Maybe I should be more vocal like you. It does not make us less of a fan of them.

Well people telling me that I'm casting "doom and gloom" on my FAVORITE couple because of an opinion is an INSULT! And then people toasting to it with emoticons is like being bullied on the internet, or slapped in the face, take your pick. I'm not some random poster, I've been here a year, though I deleted my account once and came back, that's why it says July. I've supported this couple through everything and then I'm mocked when I have an opinion by people that are not MODS and have no right to say those things to me, or make fun of me. The same people who will probably never apologize for hurting my feelings.

iloveromance :So sorry you feel that way and are leaving posts. ( I just caught up with some of prior posts. ) Everyone is entitled to their opinion without judgement, a non-judgemental "opinion" based discussion can be had. I had the same thoughts you did also. I am aware that both Sean and Cat are aware of what they are doing, and I do trust their evaluating the offers . I did not see your posts as "downer" just as an opinion and not negative. I am sorry I did not respond sooner, I have trouble getting thoughts onto paper, and shoveling all this heavy snow is getting to me!
