Poor Nikki. You are right though. She is not a "villain", but both she and Clare are shown to have insecurities... just different kinds.
How is your feeling of Chelsie as a frontrunner? I tried to be fair in my recap, but I am now struggling to imagine Mister "wants to set a good example for Camila" choose anybody else but the one he can't seem to avoid.

Feelings fluctuated a bit tonight. I'm still pretty positive it's Chelsie due to the look JP gave her at the mall right before the performance and them always being by each other, but I have to give pause to consider Sharleen as well when I noticed he said Seoul Mate on the card and didn't he say something about looking for a Seoul mate in his blog last week?
So right now I'm fluctuating between picking Clare, Chelsie or Nikki. I noticed he kept close to Nikki on the group date as well as Chelsie. If Clare is F1, his body language is indicating he doesn't want her to be so clingy. he keeps pulling away when she wants to show the PDA and possessiveness. Hope she doesn't drive him away with that. And one also has to wonder why he chose to be in the boat with Renee and Andi if he really liked Clare..

OK, Chelsie might have had his attention on the K-pop date, competing with Nikki, Kat, Cassandra, Elise and Ms. lost-in-the-background. Yet how would she manage on the other date with The Princess from Sacramento? Even Ali couldn't compete! It doesn't matter whether or not WE the viewers like her.
Let's face it. Victoria is gone. Lucy is gone. Only Nikki is getting a slightly villain-ous edit, not that she deserves it. Obviously they must spotlight Crazy Clare instead of Juan-gobsmacked-with Clare simply to have A Show.

Then he told others it was because he was a dad and he didn’t want Camilla to see him kissing a bunch of girls. I definitely understand their confusion and frustration on this subject, because he seems to have changed the rules in the middle of the game. They obviously know he’s kissed several of the other women, but now there’s some random moral line he seems to have drawn. In a situation like this, you have to be careful to be clear and consistent or it’s going to lead to confusion and drama for him. When you say one thing and completely do another, obviously it’s going to lead to problems."

The Bachelor's Juan Pablo is done making out — or at least that's what he's telling some of the women.
On Monday's episode, Juan Pablo and his ladies headed to South Korea, where he caused quite the stir on the group date. After kissing a handful of women thus far, the single dad decided that he shouldn't be so "romantic" and shot down Lauren S. when she went in for a kiss.
In this week's chat with host Chris Harrison, he reveals that this won't be the first time Juan Pablo changes the rules on the women. Plus: Which girl has him wondering how she's still on the show?
We haven't spoken since Juan Pablo made some controversial comments. What are your thoughts on it?
Chris Harrison: I was disappointed by his remarks, and he definitely doesn't speak on my behalf and it doesn't represent my beliefs or feelings. But I know him well enough to know that I believe [his apology].
Moving on to the episode, was the K-pop date just madness?
Harrison: It was like controlled awesome chaos. It was really just super cool and everyone was so jazzed, but it was massive. The episode didn't quite show the size and the scope of the insanity there. It was in one of those three-story mall atriums, and [in] every floor and every opening, there were people.
The girls were a little catty during the night portion of the date and Nikki seems to be the one targeted right now.
Harrison: I think it's a question of who the front-runner is. Inevitably, the front-runner is the one with the target on her back — she's getting the attention, she's beautiful, and so it's the way it always is.
Juan Pablo decided he wasn't really going to kiss the girls anymore, which caused Lauren S. to break down when she went in for it. Was that an excuse or is he really reevaluating how he looks on TV?
Harrison: Honestly, he sends mixed messages to the girls and they find it very confusing. This isn't a language barrier; this is a Juan Pablo barrier. He does things like this throughout the season that really make you scratch your head. It's like, "You're going to make a stand now?" It's closing the barn door after the horses are already out. Why now, after making out with the others, do you decide it's enough? So he's changing the rules in the middle of the game. But this won't be the last time Juan Pablo reinvents his rules and the women will be left scratching their heads wondering where they stand. There's a situation that's going to arise [next episode] that will epitomize this.
Sharleen was open about her experience with dating someone with kids. Were you surprised she still got the rose?
Harrison: As much of an enigma that Juan Pablo can be at times, she is more so in a fascinating way. How is she still on the show? He's so captivated by her, but she all but turned down the first rose — you watch their one-on-one time and it's really awkward. I think everyone on social media agreed the first kiss was just bizarre. I think it might be you want what you can't have, and she's an unattainable, worldly woman he has to chase, whereas with the other ones it's happening maybe too easily. But you see him with Nikki, Clare or even Andi, and it seems so natural. And you see him with Sharleen and it's like, "What?"

Does anyone want to discuss the post-show "evidence" to support one contestant VS the other by taking the front runners that we have sleuth ed here ?
Taking into consideration that Clare is front runner #1 Vs Nikki as front runner #2 ....
Clare has been mentioned consistently in his blogs. He even mentioned the whole octopus incident which he could have given a skip on. Whereas despite giving Nikki the GDR in ep3, he didn't mention her at all.
Now he could be "hiding" Nikki in this blogs (IF she is F1) but I doubt it.
He named Clare as sexiest just like Des did last season about Chris.
JKL does not really count since Clare was not mentioned by JK. But his eyes did smile when they mentioned Nikki so not sure which way that one swings. Des smiled when Brooks was mentioned too.
He said that dancing is a huge factor for him - that automatically eliminates Nikki :)

Wasn't the word Des used with Chris "handsome"? Nobody was "sexy" to her. I remember Brooks was witty or something. She was laughing a lot with him. Drew was "caring" like Juan's Nikki.
I don't think dancing skills are that high on his list. That is why Nikki got another group rose instead of Kat.
Jimmy Kimmel does give us "signs"... Juan kept bringing up Sacramento. His facial reactions with the selected top three were a trifle disappointing... although body language can be tricky to read at times. When Jimmy picked Brooks, Des laughed rather abruptly and acted like she was hiding some Big Secret regarding him.

Actually she said Chris' was the best body. At the time I was :shocked!: because IMO there were others there that were better. But that was her opinion.
ETA
The point was that during the show (when her season girls came to visit) she said Drew had the best body. But post show it changed to Chris.
Similarly, during the show JP calls Nikki sexy but post show it is Clare.

Channel Guide Magazine: What convinced you to come back as this season’s Bachelor?
Juan Pablo Galavis: I decided to come back and be The Bachelor because it was an opportunity to meet 27 women that know a little bit of who I am, that know that I have a daughter and that I want a family and 2 more kids. I can meet people outside The Bachelor, but it’s hard to find people on the same page as me. In this case, the women at least came in knowing what I want.
CGM: What are you most excited for audiences to learn about you that we didn’t get to see on The Bachelorette?
JPG: That I can actually speak a little bit of English! Jajaja! During my time on The Bachelorette, people learned a bit about me, but with The Bachelor, they will learn a lot more. The audience will get to see my life in Miami, me as a father and that I can cook. JPG: Every day I am proud of her! She comes up with new words and she is now speaking really good English. She is too much, you will see!

JPG: When it comes to a must-have, it’s dancing. Although I love a woman who can dance, I knew I was not going to have 27 dancers — so I tried not to have the girls dance so I wasn’t disappointed or turned off. Most importantly, she has to love my daughter, and I’m looking for someone who is both classy and honest. When it comes to deal-breakers, I can’t handle a girl who gets sloppy drunk. I’m looking for a stepmother for my daughter so that is a deal-breaker for me.
CGM: What is your idea of the ultimate romantic gesture — to give or receive or both?
JPG: I’m not picky with romantic gestures. Words sometimes are more than little gifts. I like to give one kind of flower — ironically not red roses, which I have to give a lot in this adventure. If I receive something, just the gesture itself makes me happy!
