It's definitely part of the same sentence.  yes  That doesn't mean were not missing the second part of his line though. He could very well be saying that "Sharleen is the one.... I've been most intrigued by since the very beginning." Or something along these lines...

“Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering”

The Bachelor's Chris Harrison: I Was Surprised Sharleen Stayed This Long

Sharleen and Juan Pablo Galavis
After weeks of being conflicted over Juan Pablo, Sharleen decided it was finally time to leave The Bachelor.

Ever since she hesitated over receiving the first impression rose, viewers have watched the opera singer vacillate between knowing Juan Pablo is not the guy for her and giving in to her attraction to the single dad. Ultimately, it was the prospect of bringing Juan Pablo home to meet her folks that made Sharleen pack up once and for all.

The Bachelor Exclusive Sneak Peek: Nikki calls Clare a dog

As the four remaining women head into hometown dates, host Chris Harrison shares his views on Sharleen's exit, Nikki and Clare's showdown and previews Juan Pablo's rough meeting with one of the girls' parents.

At the beginning of the episode, Juan Pablo actually tells his friend that Sharleen is "the one." Were his feelings really that strong for her?
Chris Harrison: Sharleen was at the top of his list from the moment she got out of the limo. We talked about this during deliberations that you didn't see. I kept asking him and pushing him about Sharleen and whether he felt that the level of chemistry and respect was being reciprocated because I never saw it. He was just so captivated by her and I just think he liked the fact that she was so sophisticated and talented and had so much to offer. He was blinded by that and really wanted it to work.

Were you surprised when she finally pulled the trigger and left?
Harrison: I was surprised it lasted this long. She would convince herself to leave, but then somehow when they were together she would lose her words and be into it and make out with him again. Finally, I think she just thought enough is enough and it's time to rip the band-aid off. She also started feeling guilty because then she's taking a spot and you're bringing families into this next week and it's a lot more serious. She rode this as far as she could in good conscience and did her due diligence to see if something was there and I respect that.

The Bachelor's Chris Harrison: Sharleen's conflicted feelings will come to a head

I can't believe Juan Pablo took Nikki to meet his family and the mother of his child! Was it unfair to the other girls?
Harrison: Talk about a huge cultural difference. I thought it was a huge deal that he took Nikki to see his parents because that's something you save for the final stages. When I said that to Juan Pablo, he laughed and said, "Meeting someone's parents and family is not a big deal. You guys [in the U.S.] put so much pressure on meeting the family. In Venezuela, we usually stay with our parents through University and sometimes after and if you're with somebody of course you'll know their family. It's not a big deal." Was it a big deal to Nikki? Maybe so. For him it wasn't a huge step, but the natural thing to do since they were in Miami. Is it fair that Nikki met the family and the others didn't? I have to defer to the rules which are ever changing.

How terrifying though to meet his gorgeous ex.
Harrison: She is beautiful and a posing figure, but she's around quite a bit. She's a part of his life and that's what you marry into. Is it right to meet her on one of your first dates? Lord no. But maybe that's a huge cultural difference. And also it could've been her saying, "If you're going to have Camilla on the show and meet one of the girls, I want to be there."

The Bachelor's Clare: Juan Pablo and I did not have sex in the ocean

The season hasn't been too catty, but we finally got a big fight between Nikki and Clare. Was there tension you could see in the house?
Harrison: Definitely. It's going to happen when you have a bunch of girls and they're travelling together and dating the same guy and I'm surprised it's taken this long. At this point in the show the girls are going to feel like if he likes a girl like that, how can he like a girl like me. They see each other as very different although they're really not. They're both really sweet girls with a big love for family. People don't get to see the sweet side of Nikki, but Juan Pablo sees that. If Clare and Nikki really took the time to get to know each other, they might find they're more similar than they think.

What can you tease about next week's hometown dates?
Harrison: The ladies have obviously had their cultural differences with Juan Pablo, but now you're dealing with families ... and some of these parents are not as excited as the girls are. Clare's family, people will see, are a little skeptical and aren't as apt to just give their blessing. They want to see more and don't have that much time with him.

The Bachelor will air on Monday and Tuesday next week at 8/7c at ABC.

Chris Harrison blogs 'The Bachelor' episode 7

There’s a lot of drama to discuss, but I want to answer a quick question I got several times this week. Why wasn’t there a two-on-one date last week? It’s funny how our fans come to just expect and understand when things are supposed to happen. Typically if we have a two-on-one date it would indeed have taken place last week, but much to your surprise we didn’t do it this time. You have to remember that while we do often stick to a general schedule it’s definitely not set in stone. I honestly don’t recall how far out we decided to not do a two-on-one this season, but you have to understand there are no rules here. Sometimes we’ll decide heading into the season what the schedule will be, but we always change our game plan on the fly as we go. A number of factors can change things up. It’s always a very fluid situation, and we always have to be ready and willing to roll with the punches and adapt to the relationships forming on the show.

As much fun as we had traveling around the world, we were all happy to be back in the states. But nobody was more excited to return home than Juan Pablo. Miami is his hometown now, and his family and friends were waiting. You could really see his shoulders drop and see him relax as he got home.
We have two big stories to deal with this week: Sharleen and the battle between Nikki and Clare. I’ve said from day one that Sharleen and Juan Pablo’s relationship is one of the oddest, most awkward relationships we’ve ever had on this show. From the moment she stepped out of the limo, Juan Pablo was taken by Sharleen. I found it really interesting how Sharleen would send him mixed signals. I think it’s because she was pretty confused herself. Whether it was fair or not is up for debate, but she definitely gave him plenty of reasons to think she was into him. When they were together, their chemistry was insane and they couldn’t take their hands and lips off each other. But if you listened to Sharleen, she sent plenty of signals the other way as well.
Read some of these quotes from this week alone. “I’m surprised by how attracted to him I am.” When asked about meeting her family, she said, “I think it can work” and “It’s hard for me to wrap my mind around it.” But what was Sharleen’s real struggle? The physical was there, but she said there wasn’t a “mental” connection. She went on to say she wished she were a little dumber. While talking to the girls and to Juan Pablo she kept saying she was doing the right thing, but why was this the right thing? You could clearly see part of her really enjoyed him and their relationship, but another side of her just wouldn’t let her have that. I look forward to talking to her at the Women Tell All so we can get some of these answers. I’m hoping now that she’s had time to gain some perspective she’ll be able to articulate what her real struggle was and why she just couldn’t embrace what was happening.

Nikki has really come out on as a top contender the last few weeks and she got the other one-on-one date this week. I know this date is going to really stir up our fans because I was blown away by it as well. Nikki meeting his family and especially his daughter is a huge deal — or is it? Unfortunately we didn’t show the deliberation where we discussed this, but Juan Pablo had a very interesting take on this and what it comes down to is a real difference in cultures. Back in Venezuela, it’s not a big deal at all to meet someone’s family early on, and in fact from what JP told me it would be odd not to. Now I’m sure a lot of people will also say why was it only Nikki who got to meet them? The answer is it worked well because Camilla had the dance recital. So there was an event and it made sense to do it with one of the ladies, but to parade all of them through would have been awkward. Speaking of awkward, how odd was it for Nikki to have to meet Juan Pablo’s ex? She handled it well, but what an uncomfortable moment that must have been. You also may have noticed that Nikki didn’t say it to him, but she became the first to admit she’s fallen in love with Juan Pablo!
Nikki is obviously one of the front-runners now, but so is Clare and she’s been there for a while now. She’s not ready to easily give up that spot. There wasn’t really just one thing that happened here. It’s a simple case of two women who want the same thing and they just don’t like each other. Because of this battle, the house and the ladies have kind of been divided down the middle. Chelsie and Renee are on team Clare and Andi is on team Nikki. The good news for these two is that this is the last week they have to really spend any time together. From here on out, the women don’t see each other except at the rose ceremonies — so while it provided for some good drama this week, it’s really a moot point now.
One funny inside note to give you about the cocktail party: We showed Nikki and Clare sitting in silence alone, but that moment went on much longer than we could show and it was beyond uncomfortable. It felt like an hour, but there was a good five or ten minutes where these two just sat beside each other in complete silence. It was really amazing to watch. We showed you enough to get the point across, but it went on for much longer.
Chelsie was sent home this week and we were all sad to see her go. She’s a great girl and was liked by all. Her relationship with Juan Pablo was good but just not good enough when compared to what he has with the others, and I think she knew that. There’s no way it will go unnoticed that after saying goodbye to Chelsie, Juan Pablo gave us a pretty solid “Mesnick”. A Mesnick, of course, is named after our old Bachelor and good friend Jason Mesnick, who famously cried hysterically while leaning over a railing.
Next week are the pivotal hometown dates, and these hometowns are unlike any we’ve had before. If you’re expecting easy, happy-go-lucky hometowns where everybody smiles and gives the bachelor their blessing, you’re in for a big surprise.
I also want to let you know that next week is a special two-day Bachelor event Monday and Tuesday night. Monday night will be hometowns, then Tuesday we head off to St Lucia for exotic dates, which as you saw in the previews are interesting, to say the least. You really do not want to miss the overnight dates on Tuesday. It’s truly, honestly the most intense, exotic episode ever.

Juan Pablo's Bachelor Blog: Sharleen 'Has All My Respect'

ABC (2)
Juan Pablo Galavis, former pro soccer player, single father and star of this season's The Bachelor, is blogging for PEOPLE.com each week about the ladies, the dates and the difficult decisions he faces. You can also follow Juan on Twitter @JuanPaGalavis.

It's hard not to begin this blog talking about my country, Venezuela, but I'm glad that I can write every week, that I can say whatever I want and express my feelings and thoughts.

This has been a very difficult week for me. I thought I was only going to have to worry about what to get Camila for her birthday and what decorations to get for her Frozen party. However, the students in Venezuela decided to take to the streets to march for peace and ended up clashing violently with police. Seeing my country suffer and only being able to help by posting videos and comments on social media makes me very sad, but there is nothing else I can do right now. I feel helpless.

Back to Miami, what I now call my hometown ...

I was anticipating this trip because it's really time for me to start making crucial decisions about moving forward. I needed to figure out not only which women I would have to send home, but also which families I wanted to meet. Although that was weighing on my mind, I was the most excited about seeing mi bebe (my baby) and my family. Seeing Camila, my parents and my cousin, Rodolfo, was great. I talk to Rodolfo everyday and we had so much to talk about after six weeks away.

Yacht Time with Sharleen
With two one-on-one dates and a group date, I definitely wanted to clear my doubts about Sharleen. During all of the conversations that we've had, (sorry you guys didn't get to see 90 percent of them) I knew she was having a very hard time in this process.

I gave Sharleen the first one-on-one, a yacht ride where we had plenty of time to talk and to figure out where my feelings were towards her and vice versa. During the day, we paddle boarded from the yacht to a small island, but I'm glad you didn't get to see that! My paddle boarding skills are terrible! It was my first time doing it and as I am a heavy gordtito (fatty). I fell off my board in the first 20 seconds. Sharleen was a pro. My whole date with her was very smooth so I didn't have many concerns, because when we were together, everything seemed perfect.

Surprise for Nikki
For my second date I needed to bring somebody who I felt a strong connection with and who would appreciate my surprise of meeting Camila. The reason I decided to take Nikki was because she has been making me feel more and more comfortable since Vietnam.

We met each other down at the beach and spent an hour talking alongside the boardwalk. It was so hot that I'm glad you didn't see us sweating our butts off. After we talked, I took Nikki to cool off at a flower shop where we got to spend some quality time and pick flowers for Camila. I gave Nikki a sunflower, the flower I like to give the most (another thing you didn't see!).

The reaction when I told her we were going to the recital was priceless. She was excited and a little bit nervous. Mi bebe dancing and singing killed me. My favorite part was when she pointed at me. I'm going to post the video that I recorded soon so you see her face.

Nikki got to meet Camila for a few minutes as well as my dad, mom, aunt and carla. After the recital, I took her to eat Venezuelan food, which I always do after a dance recital. We said goodbye to the family and just the two of us went to eat. She loved tequeños (my favorite bite) and the arepa with carne mechada (shredded beef).

During the ride from the flower store to the recital, she told me she used to play softball when she was younger. She also told me that she liked a Venezuelan hat that I gave to one of the producers during my time on The Bachelorette. To me, all of that was such a coincidence because I was going to take her to Marlins Park and I had a hat for her.

Marlins Park is what I call my office in Miami, because I work for the Venezuelan Museum of Baseball and Hall of Fame. My job is to go to all the MLB stadiums and to talk to and collect articles from all the Venezuelan players in the big leagues and those Americans that played in Venezuela.

We had the stadium to ourselves and it was so quiet and relaxing. We had an absolute blast. While in New Zealand I pulled a muscle in my leg while I was working out and forgot about it when I was at the stadium because I was so excited to be there. While we were there I decided to steel second base. I ran to the base and kind of felt the pain again. We had two gloves, a few balls and a bat – and, well, guess what, I have always wanted to hit a ball on a MLB baseball field. That night I was going to get that off my bucket list. Nikki pitched and I swung the bat pretty hard. I don't remember how far the ball went, because my leg killed me. This time the muscle was really pulled. The nurse tried taking care of me but I needed to go get an ultrasound for sure. We relaxed after that and ended a great date with Nikki the nurse.

Sharleen Says Goodbye
Late that night, someone knocked on my door and it was Sharleen. When I saw her at the door my first thought was "she is gone" and I was right. It was very hard for her to talk to me and she felt terrible telling me that she didn't think I was the man of her life. She has all my respect. She has been the most honest, realistic and mature of all the women. She was struggling and she let me know every time we talked about how hard it was for her. I loved listening to the words she used and we had a great time talking about anything and everything. Unfortunately you were only able to see a little bit of Sharleen and I understand they way people might judge her. But remember – you judge by what you see on TV and not everything makes it to the screen.

RELATED: Renee Oteri: Juan Pablo Is a Great Guy

I was very sad but I was prepared because of her struggles over the weeks. She was going to have a hometown date and things maybe would of changed after that. In this situation, a single word can change my way of seeing or thinking about someone and that's the reason I took everybody and everything they say so seriously. I'm glad she put her life on hold to come see if we could have a future together, because I met a great woman. Like I said – I'd rather not be appreciated and be honest, than be appreciated and not being honest.

My last date in Miami was a fun one. I enjoyed spending time with Renee, Clare, Andi and Chelsie. The plane ride was fabulous. All of the girls enjoyed it but Andi was very scared. We landed at a private beach and since I had one rose to give, I wanted to spend quality time with the women. I had a blast with Chelsie. Her family sent her like 25 letters to read throughout the adventure and sadly you only got to see two of them. They were so great. I laughed listening to all those letters. Chelsie has such a loving and fun family.

When I was talking to Andi, she was very nervous about everything and how she is always in control and in this situation she feels lost. She broke down and I tried to make her feel comfortable. Since week two, Andi has been one of my favorites and that's the reason I gave her the rose. It was a hard decision, but I knew she needed that extra confidence boost. It was hard to see the girls leave halfway through the date.

Another Surprise
That night, Andi and I walked around South Beach, ate some Latin food and waited for a long time in CVS while my surprise was getting ready. That surprise was also for me, because I had no idea who was playing the concert. I was very surprised with the choice of Romeo Santos, one of the biggest singer/songwriters in the Latin industry right now.

Dancing with Andi was so funny! She told me she was a horrible dancer but she picked it up pretty quickly. Andi was a little stiff, but she had the will to learn. Seeing her so happy made me smile all night.

The rose ceremony was terrible. Sending Chelsie home broke my heart because she is fantastic and full of life and good vibes. Our connection faded over the weeks. I know she will be a great friend for years.

RELATED: The Bachelor's Clare Crawley: What Really Happened with Juan Pablo

Hometowns are coming next week. I can't wait to go and visit Sacramento, Sarasota, Kansas City and Atlanta. I love meeting people and this will be even more special because of where I will be meeting the families of four amazing woman.

For everyone who makes comments on my social media, I really appreciate your honesty. For the positive ones, thanks for always supporting and seeing the best. For the negative ones, thanks for giving me a different point of view, which I respect. For both points of view, I want to thank you for being there at all times and having opinions about someone that you watch every Monday night. In the past three weeks, I felt exactly like when I played soccer – everyone on the stands had their opinions while the ones sweating and playing the game were loved or hated. The only answer I always had for them was the same one: here are my cleats, let me know if you want to borrow them for a bit so I can see you play from the stands.

It feels great letting you know my thoughts, concerns and why I make my decisions. I'm going to make sure, by writing this blog every week, all of you will get to know me a little bit better. The situation right now in Venezuela – where not everyone can express themselves freely – makes me glad I have this blog to vent about my thoughts and feelings.

Hope you enjoy knowing me a little bit more and see you guys next week.

Besitos/Kisses,
Juan Pablo

JUAN PABLO JOINS THE FOUR REMAINING BACHELORETTES IN THEIR HOMETOWNS,
ONLY TO HAVE SOME OF THE FAMILIES QUESTION HIS INTENTIONS ABOUT THEIR
DAUGHTERS’ FUTURE HAPPINESS, ON ABC’S “THE BACHELOR”

EXPLOSIVE DRAMA AND MAJOR SURPRISES MARK A TWO-NIGHT “BACHELOR” SPECIAL EVENT, WHICH KICKS OFF MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24, AND CONTINUES TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25

“Episode 1808” – A two-night Bachelor special event begins as Juan Pablo, still smarting from Sharleen’s sudden decision to leave, starts his exciting whirlwind trip across the country to visit the final four women’s hometowns, and continues his search to find lasting love. A nervous Nikki welcomes the Bachelor, but she still can’t seem to tell him how she feels about him. Andi’s family takes aim at her blossoming relationship with Juan Pablo, but will it destroy her chance at love? Renee shares a wonderful reunion with her son and the Bachelor, but she too struggles to find the words to describe her feelings for him. Finally, Clare shares a rare, intimate moment with Juan Pablo, bringing them closer until one family member threatens to ruin everything for the couple. The dramatic journey ends when he must make a gut-wrenching decision to narrow the field to three women – one of whom he hopes will be his future wife – on “The Bachelor,” MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The second part of “The Bachelor” special event, “Episode 1809,” – the overnight dates -- will air on a special night, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET).

Starting off in Kansas City, Missouri, Nikki puts Juan Pablo’s cowboy skills to the test by daring him to ride a mechanical bull. Seeing him so at ease in her hometown solidifies her feelings of love, but she still can’t tell him to his face. The Bachelor charms her family with his easy-going manner and good looks, but even with her family’s approval, will she gather the courage tell Juan Pablo she has fallen in love with him?

The Bachelor’s next stop is Atlanta where he will visit Andi, who also has a test waiting for Juan Pablo. She takes him to a shooting range for target practice. The real question is: will he score with her family? Tough questions wait for the Bachelor, as Andi’s father peppers him in a blunt cross examination. Will it sound the death knell for the couple’s relationship?

Juan Pablo’s emotional tour continues in Sarasota, Florida, as he meets up with single mom Renee, who has been desperate to be reunited with her eight-year-old son, Ben. Juan Pablo witnesses the tearful reunion and is introduced to Renee’s pride and joy. As Juan Pablo watches Ben play in a Little League game, he ponders whether he can picture himself as the boy’s stepfather. After he meets her parents, Renee still hesitates to tell him of her strong feelings for him. Will that indecisiveness cost her a rose?

Finally, the Bachelor travels to Sacramento, California where Clare waits for him. She shares heartbreaking memories of her late father with Juan Pablo in a rare, intimate moment of vulnerability and sensitivity. Everything goes smoothly until Juan meets Clare’s mother and sisters. One woman’s bombshell reaction makes a happy ending for the couple questionable.

Now, flying back to Miami, Juan Pablo must make his most difficult decision yet about which of the final four women he will send home. A tense, dramatic rose ceremony brings heartache to one devastated bachelorette. The three remaining ladies head to the exotic Caribbean island of St. Lucia as their romantic journey nears an end.

The four remaining women are:

Andi, 26, assistant district attorney, Atlanta, GA

Clare, 32, hairstylist, Sacramento, CA

Nikki, 26, pediatric nurse, Kansas City, MO

Renee, 32, real estate agent, Sarasota, FL

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton and Alycia Rossiter are the executive producers. “The Bachelor” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 stereo surround sound.

Thanks for the link jlccaz- the part that made me chuckle the most--- Chris H comment near the end which basically spoils the F2, it's about 2 ladies coming to the ATFR and I deleted the rest because it really does give it away. Way to go Chris- don't read it if you want to stay unspoiled.  no no

Ps just because you can't get tone on the internet, I'm not being sarcastic- I did enjoy the piece, but reading it will spoil you.
