Although, he may be continually saying it was a mistake/his fault because he knows he's in some dip sh*t with the public in regards to that (and other things) BUT also because he really did feel bad for the other girls. It seems as if that's his weakness...feeling bad for them. Heh.
Didn't he say that there was something that we didn't see on TV and he was gonna put it in his blog..? I didn't see anything new? Anyone?
When he "snuck" a great kiss with Nikki behind the wall?

I just so happen to agree. And the fact that CH mentioned that its a T.B.C thing is more telling. CH is always the lighthouse of this series. You can tell the red-flags to watch pretty well from what he and his blogs say.
I need to get a chance to re-watch that scene with Clare and JP at the RC more closely. From pure memory, the conversation started going down one path and then because Clare was simply not listening - took a completely different turn. I didn't see JP was reprimanding her after the fact at all. In fact all he appeared to be saying was "lets take the foot off the pedal". What it turned into was another story altogether. Another more mature person would have "heard" JP the first time .
JP was definitely not blaming her he said he was equally to blame.
I am joining your club! Just read for yourself and compare to how Ben defended Courtney & their time together:
Ben's People blog on skinny dipping with Courtney:
“"What I will say is that I try to focus on all these relationships singularly. It's odd to date more than one woman and in order to do so, you have to try to treat each one individually. If I were in Puerto Rico with a beautiful woman I was dating and she wanted to skinny dip, I would be a fool to decline. I treated this situation the same way. I will admit that at the time I wasn't thinking of the other women and how it would make them feel, and I'm sorry for that, but I can't blame Courtney for going out of her way to spend more time with me – that's why we are all here."”
Juan Pablo's blog on swimming after hours with Clare:
"Mistake with Clare
Later that night, the after party was great. I had really good conversations with all the women, but I could express myself even more with the women I had a stronger connection with.
After the party I was relaxing in my room, watching baseball when someone knocked on my door. It was Clare. She came to thank me for the great day and she wanted to jump in the ocean for the first time with me. She was so happy that I didn't want to reject her, but I definitely made a mistake.
The next day I felt guilty because Clare got more time with me than the other women. I regretted giving Clare the extra time. Also, I didn't think it was a good example for my daughter to watch daddy going into the ocean with a girl at night. I already had a great day with her and even taking her to my pool was something that I should not have done. Honestly, my mistake."
And wait, there's more ...
"At the cocktail party, I really wanted to tell Clare how I felt about our crazy night. Chris Harrison asked me why I didn't wait couple of days to tell her my thoughts, and I told him I like to address things very quickly and to be straightforward. I wanted Clare to know me better and what exactly my thoughts were. I also told Clare that sometimes I make mistakes. I thought it was better to tell her with a rose in her hand than later when she did not have a rose."
Those are not the words for a F1! Well, I take that back ... those are EXACTLY the words you would write if Clare was NOT your F1. Guilt, mistake, not a "good example," something that I should not have done. He does zero Clare gushing in this blog.
Yes, he has the hots for Clare. But I will be shocked if she's last woman standing. Clare is the gal he lusts after and wants to have to take to Fantasy Suite. It's all physical! She really is not his type ... way too high maintenance. While Nikki, Sharleen, Renee or Andi are the marrying kind for him. He puts Renee on a pedestal. He both admires and respects Nikki and the way he was talking to her/leaning in/asking her questions about her job ... he can't get enough of her on both a physical and mental level.
Andi ...all I can say is I just can't wait to watch you as next Bachelorette. She's adorable!! I am sure your mom is proud.

IMHO, JP behaved badly last night and should be called out. I am not Clare's or anyone's champion but if he had kept his guilt to himself and made a personal decision to slow his roll with her, the whole swimming at night thing wouldn't have turned into the debacle that it became. Willing participant or not, he shamed that girl on national TV and I just can't rejoice about that. Since the producers expects us to take sides, I willingly submit to their control and say that I am 1000% on Clare's side, on this issue.
IMHO the producers are setting both JP & Clare up to look terrible ~ for the sake of the show. They sent Clare to JP's room and they told JP to go with her. Whether or not his regrets are genuine, or whether the edit is hacking up the dialogue, they're making him look stupid. And now they're throwing JP under the bus for it via CH's blog. CH's blog is also making JP look ridiculous where Renee is concerned.
Not taking anyone's side here at all, just stating what I see is happening. I see both Clare & JP as victims of the show's intentions.

That was the moment that struck me too. It's insanely obvious he is physically attracted to Nikki with all the amount of times he uses sexy to describe her. But that moment was the first time I saw Juan Pablo attempting a true conversation where he seemed engaged.Mommyof1 wrote:MVMom39forever wrote:nd4reality wrote:Mommyof1 wrote:His blog mentions regret...mistake...Clare. Exactly! In this blog he took every opportunity to either express guilt/regret for his time with Clare or downplay. Notice he also made a point of restating that Clare was the only one who did not have partner during group date boat ride, which is why he went with her on boat.
During this point of filming, I have no doubt that he was horny as heck for Clare. But I truly believe ... his heart is going to leave the show with another woman. I still have not figured out who cause the guy is just so comfortable with many of the lead contenders and vice versa. I could even make an argument for Renee; who I had at one point put firmly in the friend zone.

Yes, the whole thing smacks of handler manipulation from the get go. Clare comes across as someone who can be easily manipulated...and, boy, did TPTB maximize that weakness. What they allowed to happened last night was shameful.
I am not an apologist for Clare. I think she has issues...or at least how they edit her to be, she comes across with issues. (I'm really trying not to judge her...I don't know her...I just see what TPTB allow me to see.) That said, put yourself in her shoes. What Juan did came out of left field -- she said she was blindsided. It's reasonable that she is going to need/want to process this development. For someone who self-admittedly has been closed off from relationships, this situation has the potential of being a huge trigger for her. Her fear spiked and she unraveled. Unfortunately, Fleiss & Co. have no problem hanging her out to dry for their profit...pretty disgusting.
ETA: jojo, I just read your recent post. Yes, completely agree...

This is interesting. I would assume at this point he was not seeing her as the one.

IDC, I love Sharleen. I dont think her and JP are right for each other in the long haul but I think they're awkwardly cute together and she's just a weirdo all around but I can relate to that...sooo, yeah. Her edit is making her seem very up and down though in terms of her feelings/emotions. Then again, next week it seems like Andi says that she isn't emotionally healthy in this process. Ehhh. I like her.

This is what makes no sense: "The next day I felt guilty because Clare got more time with me than the other women. I regretted giving Clare the extra time. Not once does he hint he has stronger feelings for anybody else... or he is even concerned about anybody BUT his daughter watching it on TV.
