Do we know who is throwing them the couples shower? I'm thinking Sherry since  Jay said she was planning some parties for Catherine.

Not sure who is hosting it but I believe it is at a family friend or church friends home.

Usually family members don't host the events (unless it is a reception for the couple after the wedding for those who were unable to be invited or to attend- which they may still do... unless this is in lieu of that since I don't think all of Sherry and Jay's friends have been able to be included). So if this is in place of an event which Sherry and Jay may have hosted after the wedding, then she's very involved. If it's a shower, then she may have been somewhat involved with guest lists and the like, but not with the actual event.

I would think that Sherry and Jay have tons of friends, many of whom wanted to host a pre-wedding shower/party for Sean and Catherine. Sherry would have been called on to coordinate who would be invited to which one- especially if they are showers since you don't want to prevail on the same people to give gifts all the time.

Did we hear jay said before that there are atleast 4 showers in the works for seancat and there are lots of people involved . So cat got her 2 bridal showers already thrown by her friends and some of papa and mama lowe friends which joined by Sean's parents, sister ,friends and relatives too. Now this Saturday couples shower that we all knew already . I wonder what is the last one . Who will host that too.

I am anxious to know what their first dance song is going to be.   

I am hoping that maybe Cat's mom is coming to Dallas for the weekend and for the party. Catherine hasn't seen her for a while. Maybe that is why there was no trip to Seattle over the holidays. We will see, I guess.

I share that sentiment motheroffive. Though with the wedding just a few weeks away now, perhaps the family will wait until the week before the wedding and then arrive in LA- if they were to do that, they only have fewer than 3 weeks to wait.

I had my bridal and baby showers hosted by family members. In my entire life I have never heard that a family member doesn't throw the shower, quite the opposite in fact. Maybe times are changing or I'm just getting old, which would probably explain why none of this makes sense to me lol.

When I got married, which was a long time ago, it was my mother's friends who threw the showers and parties- same with baby showers. I only really remember attending one baby shower given by a family member- and then it was the husband's mother. I suppose it goes to show that there is a wide variety of how things are done.

I had friends at work throw me an additional baby shower than the one my family gave me. I've been to showers for others that have been thrown mostly by family, but sometimes friends. I do think it depends on the families and the circumstances. And also the times as well. I guess I'll find all this out when my kids get married, but since they are still young, that won't be for a long time lol.

I've been of that opinion for a while. I think it's very possible that we see Cynthia and Perhaps even Lola at this shower. Perhaps they'll even film that hokey date announcement to the two families segment. Guess we'll know soon enough.
