Personally. I dont care one way or another if it is filmed or not. But ABC must be footing the bill though and the venues would want it to appear on TV, even if it's briefly. I would think something would have to be shown. Even if its Sean and Catherine looking at pictures of their respective parties and acknowledging they had such a great time at the 4 Seasons Miami (or wherever).

It also could be that they purposely left ABC out of the picture for these- as they did the Seattle engagement party and that Sean and Catherine are doing the planning for them.

That's true. Its a pretty big expense to ask your friends to incur though. And also, why release details to the press if it is meant to be private? I dont know and, like I said, I dont care either way. Just curious.

I don't care if we see footage or not, I'm sure we'll get some pictures either way. ABC might film like one day of their trips and make it a very short segment. But since they aren't in the same place, there will be no meeting of the couple as they "sneak away" from their parties. Truthfully, the less of this they show the better. It leaves more time for the good stuff.

What an interesting turn of events! So they eventually settled for separate bachelor/bachelorette parties. Makes me wonder if Sean and Catherine insisted on some measure of privacy during their negotiations with ABC. I actually don't mind the fact that they'll be away partying four days in a row- sans cameras, as long as we have access to a ton of good pics from both their getaways. Do these b/b parties usually last several days? What has been the norm with past couples?

I remember JP/Ashley had theirs for a weekend at a resort in Arizona. So this seems to fit the norm, minus the part about them being at two different places of course.

So great to get official confirmation that Jay is officiating the wedding ceremony. It is going to make it even more profound than ever.

And I must be getting old, because when I got married, a Bachlor/Bachelorette party was a one night thing lol. Is a vacation getaway the norm now, or is that just for celebrities? In any case, its great for them to get away with their friends. I'm sure we'll at least get a lot of pics.

My roommates have both been on weekend getaways for Bachelorette parties recently: to Miami, Vegas, and Chicago. It's becoming more popular now it seems.

Thanks umngirl. I just found out Wyoming is about 3,500km from Miami. That's going to be miles apart. We can now rule out the part of them sneaking away from their respective parties to share a romantic moment together. I am in favor of more interesting stuff, but then again eonline is quoting an inside source close to the bride. I'll take their exclusive news with a grain of salt for now. Guess we'll wait and see.

Maybe they will. Like the jash wedding . They showed a little bts with their respective parties. Just saying.

Since this is a live wedding I do not think ABC will have an opportunity to add a lot of prerecorded events. I am sure we will see most of the prerecorded staff the Sunday that ABC is covering all other couples and maybe just after the ceremony when they are moving to the reception. I am sure due to the fact that the wedding is live ABC will be happy not recording the bachelor and bachelorette parties because they might not be able to add a lot of prerecorded stuff.

I think there will be plenty of filler prior to the actual ceremony. They'll show them picking out things for the wedding, probably a brief clip from the parties, and Chris will likely be interviewing former bach/ettes who are attending.

If they want to catch the sunset they're going to have to go straight to the wedding. I really do think we'll get some segments during the "specials" and perhaps even during JPa's season in those 3 weeks up to the wedding.
