True, but Juan Pablo has not really played by the rules this season.  He's never towed the company line from day one.  I am sure TPTB wanted him to propose at the FRC, but he didn't.  If he really wanted to,  I think he could have sent Clare home early.  Others have let their F2 go early.  He didn't play along when he felt things affected him and his feelings, but when the feelings of others were involved, I don't think he really cared.  That's where I have lost some respect for him.  With Juan Pablo it's all about him.

So a guy says that to you, you are beyond insulted and then "overlook" it for the sake of the show? If I were Clare, after a comment like that, I would have had the resolve to play the game, get to the final rose ceremony and stated that after a night of sleep, I came to my senses and I don't want you!!!!

IF it were her, TPTB would have had their dramatic moment, and since it wasn't her, he could have moved on to Nikki. It will be very interesting to see how private Nikki is, when she goes on damage control for her reputation!!!

Bachelorettes have been allowed to send the F2 home early. In all the seasons I have watched the bachelor has always had both girls come to the FRC.

I love Clare...flaws and all!

I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I wish she would have left him when he made that comment to her (I think now she does too). But I'm sure there was lots of pressure, she thought she loved him, and wanted to trust him. She made it to the final two!!! I wish JP would have let Clare go like Des let Drew go. TPTB were probably whispering in her ear she was the one. I think she did the best she could and I'm glad she stood up for herself in the end. I hope she finds the love of her life like Renee.

Maybe his comment to her that he "doesn't really know her" was his way of saying, it's not you, and maybe Clare was refusing to face the facts??  no idea  It was just a thought.

True, he dropped lots of hints like when giving out the FS card he said "this is the last time we will have alone time without cameras, the last time ....(not sure what all but it's in the video)"
I was never keen on her with JP because they really didn't bring out each other's better qualities however I think she would have been fun to watch as The Bachelorette.

Interesting to me to read the opposing views of Clare. My concern for/about her is that I did not see her take any responsibility/assume any culpability for any of her actions (including her comment about his parenting). Further, I know this is the psychologist coming out in me but instead of saying repeatedly that JP made her cry (CH was on this same bandwagon about JP "making" the various women cry), I wish she would take responsibility and own her own feelings. Certainly, another person is quite capable of activating a feeling in a person, but what that feeling is and the intensity of that feeling is determined by that person's own internal landscape and history.

I took her parenting comment as her saying "How would you feel if a man told Camila what you told me?!" type of thing. She was obviously still pissed and upset about what he said to her and even allowed herself to say it fully on camera. I agree with that part though. What he said was quite disturbing and highly innapropriate. His being "honest" goes to far most of the time. Doesn't know limits or when to shut up.

I agree w/you. I also took Clare's comment to mean that Juan Pablo would not be too happy if a man treated Camilla the way he had treated her. I also don't think Clare should have said what she did, but I also think Juan Pablo shouldn't have taken it any further by saying that he was glad he didn't pick her. I think the F2 should be given some slack in their comments after just being rejected because it is the first time they are learning they are not the chosen one. They are angry, hurt, and embarrassed and it is understandable that they are going to make some strong comments to the person that just rejected them. It was yet another time when Juan Pablo could have chosen to be gracious, but instead his ego got in the way and he yet again put his foot in his mouth.

I wonder if before she can own her mistakes she needed to find her strength. In telling Juan Paul off, she seems to have taken a huge step for herself. As she gains REAL confidence, if should become easier for her to own faults.

Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?
