I just had a wild thought. How do you have a live wedding and still have it outdoors (if it is) AND in prime time? You have it in Hawaii. Could this be possible you ask? It could be. Mindy Weiss posted a picture last week of her and her team on a private jet headed to Hawaii to get the logistics of an upcoming site. Now I'm sure Mindy has a ton of clients that can afford to fly her on a private jet to Hawaii for about 36 hours or so but it's interesting, no? Just a thought and as good as any speculation, I suppose.

Today's poll: Will you watch #Bachelor Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici's TV wedding? http://www.accesshollywood.com/polls

I wouldn't worry about it, those votes on line polls are silly and often way off o9r rigged . Lots of the nay sayer meanies who are still writing nasty comments. I'm sure Catherine and Sean will have a huge number of viewers for their wedding special and ABC will do their best to promote it to the hilt. It's a win win.

Whew! I finally finished reading all the posts.  This forum is moving fast.  Couldn't keep up.

So very happy to have a date set that we can count the days to.  A little worried about it being live but happy nonetheless.  I just hope we get to see the first dance.  Can't wait to see what Peta choreographs.  We can't miss that!

So the wedding will be DURING JPa's season?  Strange.

I can just imagine Sean being so emotional watching Cat walk down the aisle.  There'll be many tears no doubt.  Can't wait to see clips of both moms with Cat when she picks out a dress.

What a beautiful time in their lives.  Am so happy for them. I feel like my daughter is getting married.  Cannot wait for the wedding and for all the great pre-wedding pics we will get.  So much excitement it's hard to contain myself.  Thanks to everyone for such a great forum!!!   Happy dance.

Wow so interesting. I just googled Hawaii time and it would be five hours ahead of east coast, which would make it three o'clock for the live wedding, or four o'clock if the first hour is prewedding stuff. Good theory lipsis.

Finally found this discussion (I posted a little something on the media discussion). You've all been over most of it. But what I posted there is that I think the live ceremony will actually better for Sean and Catherine in the long run.... because their story is about their love, but also about their faith- and that part might have ended up on the cutting room floor. This way the ceremony can't be edited. I also don't think it will be super short. It can be if you're using just the basic "I do's" which is what it would be if CH were officiating. But he's not. They'll certainly limit the length of anyone's speech, but I expect a more impactful ceremony than "I, Sean, take you, Catherine...."

I do think this will have as much possibility and perhaps more possibility to pull away from the Grammy's, at least for awhile. And much is being said about only a 2 hour time slot. I'm not convinced that there will only be one night about the wedding and activities. I do think it's possible that planning parts will be aired before then. When they were asked about any plans that had already been made it was suggested that they may be holding back for future "announcements"- so this may be the tip of the iceberg and we'll find out more in the weeks ahead. It's awfully early for the announcement otherwise- unless they figured that they could go on planning "appointments" more openly if it were announced now. They (ABC) will try their best to build up to a fever pitch by Jan. 26.

Is it 5 or 6? I could swear it was 3 hours between California. Maybe it's a daylight savings time thing?

Nevertheless, I thought the pic from Mindy was interesting last week and I even commented on it to someone but sort of put it aside. With the new wedding info, it holds a wee bit more intrigue.

All very good points. I do think the powers that be convinced them of a live wedding by first offering them a destination wedding, and then possibly by telling them that the spiritual part of their wedding would not be edited out. Those things could have well sold them on the live aspect of the wedding.

I hope you're right about additional nights. It would be so great if those two hours were for the actual wedding and we had a prewedding special the week before. That would be perfect imo.

I'm not sure if the wedding will have higher ratings than the Grammys. The Grammys are huge and more mainstream than the Bachelor. Although I think it will do well, it has tough competition. But I don't even care about the ratings, I just want to see the wedding lol. I'm sure all the true fans will tune into it, and that's all that counts.

Where can I see the pic Mindy posted? Was it on twitter?

Well this is what I found about the time difference. They don't observe daylight savings time.

What is the time difference between east coast and Hawaii?

Since Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time the difference is either 5 hours OR 6 hours. From mid March to early November the east coat is 6 hours ahead...the rest of the year it is 5.
