Our friend is on a roll tonight! I think Sean has put Catherine in charge of all things wedding including social media. Would love a picture though. It's been a week!

I understand all the calls for compassion where our sick friend is concerned but you gotta admit her tweets can be freaken funny. So seriously warning Cat to be careful of the big bad blond wolf. I do have empathy for her sickness but my evil sense of humor is in there as well: :stirthepot

If she contains her tweets to Sean and Catherine, I can deal with that. It's when she brings their friends and family into if that I have a problem.

I just do not like her approach, Sean and Catherine are not obligated to share anything, yes we miss them but she has no right to demand anything from them. We are blessed that they are willing to share when they have time but they did have a life outside us.

Exactly! I don't know what else our friend needs to make her satisfied and feel contented to our lovebirds. Let's face it no matter what she can't be fully positive these two people . She is always questioning them . Why not just support them as they are getting ready their big day and new life together as everyone is happy and looking forward to their future. The worse thing with this woman she's always coming up new complains about them and trying to throw all her negative tweets to both of them and now she is questioning them again . Really can't believed it. Lost of words . I am thinking sean might giving a lesson of this bitch in twitter keep provoking them laugh out loud

Rational thought, reasoning, and common sense have no place in her world, and suggesting otherwise is a waste of time IMO

A common mistake in our society in dealing with the mental and emotionally unstable occurs when behavioral standards are not imposed because of feelings of sympathy and a belief that such people "just can't help themselves," hence misdeeds and bad behavior often goes unchecked. I've worked in the special needs community as a volunteer for 10+ years and have learned that most children and adults with special needs can and will learn to control their actions when appropriate boundaries are set and consistently applied. Too much of the "kid gloves" treatment, almost always with the best intentions, leads to bad results; and I suspect our friend has been the victim of a "kid gloves" existence. Does anyone really believe that how she's acted towards Sean and Catherine is her first such offense? She didn't wake up one day and suddenly decide to have a first-time ever obsession with Seancat (and Peta). I'd be willing to bet she engages in stuff like this on a regular basis and has simply never been conditioned to stop her silliness. Unfortunately we're kind of powerless to create any disincentive for her to stop.

I can't imagine her returning to this forum, but if by chance she does, there's no reason not to tell her that she's been hurtful and out-of-line with what she's doing, ask her to immediately stop sending messages, and to delete her twitter account. No need to reason with her or try to engage in a rational discourse, simply deliver a strong, direct, and unmistakable message that what she's doing is wrong.

While I understand what you are saying, I must respectfully disagree with some of your points. As a psychologist who has been in private practice for over twenty years, I have worked with many delusional and/or obsessive individuals. Both are mental illnesses that one cannot simply snap out of. However, there are certainly cognitive behavioral strategies that are used to treat OCD. Conversely, for someone who is suffering from a delusional disorder, medication is typically needed to ameliorate the condition. It is not my place to either assess or to treat this particular individual. What I do know is that ridiculing/shaming her can exacerbate her situation.
