I agree with Motheroffive, I think this discussion was definitely needed sooner rather than later and I'm glad that you brought this up on the board Umngirl.  As you and Lipsis have stated over and over, this is ONLY an alternative if the mods do not come back and the boards get taken down.  I would hate to lose contact with everyone here if an alternative plan was not established.  It's been great to see how many "lurkers" are posting! Umngirl and Lipsis we all have you back!

I think there is a real unity here among all the SeanCat fans, as we've seen today with all the wonderful lurkers joining in the discussion.

You are doing everything right umngirl,by including everyone in the process and giving everyone a voice. There has been no disrespect to the mods, only concern about what will happen to the board if they don't come back. You should be proud of how you've handled this, and don't let any negative comments get to you.

I don't often post, but I read here several times a day. I definitely want to be a part of any new board that may become necessary. We can't lose track of Seancat!

Long time lurker at Fort and over here. I'm not real interested in much on the forum anymore but I did enjoy the "Ready for Love" summer, though.Tim and Jenna are probably one of my favourite couples along with Sean and Catherine. :sweetlove: 
Although I haven't contributed anything, I love checking in at least once a day to see what's up and chuckle along with many of your conversations. I'll make more of an effort to join in because it seems like you all have so much fun!

Sorry to hear that you are getting grief for your back-up plan. You have been very respectful of the mods, and you should not let your confidence be shaken. It is hard to understand why the mods are not responding at all....one would think that if they want to walk away they would be happy to let others take over for them.

I am very sorry if you have been getting any flack about this umngirl. I don't think anything said here has been disrespectful to eithe San or Love. If anything, it is a sign of how much we all love the wonderful place they have created and want to make sure that it doesn't just fade away. All these lurkers coming forward today, just proves it even more.

I think all of us would be happiest to continue as is ... with mods...however, as it seems nobody is running things and all attempts at communication with them have failed, it seems only practical to start thinking of putting a back up plan in motion. I still think most of us hope it doesn't have to come to that but, with the wedding coming up soon we may have no choice. It is very unfortunate.

If we do lose the board it will be a sad day for me because although I still post on FORT, this is the best place to discuss all things Bachelor/ette related...not only the upcoming season but all the updates we do about past Bachelors and Bettes and other contestants. :Frown:

Count me in as well, on wanting to be included if a move is made. I don't post a lot, but I check the board, and especially this thread, quite a few times a day. Looking forward to the wedding, and watching it with all of you.

i was just over in the about this site page and in my opinion as this negativity stems from jealously that "new members are are trying to take over from people who have been here for years". having a plan B in place in case the worst happens a very good thing, and i think deep down they know this. if they keep there heads in the clouds come January they might not have a forum for there discussions and will regret it.

I'm amazed by your actions in our behalf umngirl , you are trying to protect what we have here with our Seancat family and we all have enormous respect for your hard work. You and lipsis are the backbone we all rely on and we certainly have your backs all the way. The object here is not to be disrespectful or step on anyone's toes it's simply to put in place a plan to keep us together should we need that option, nothing more!

Just chiming in to agree that this isn't anything to do with a lack of respect for the mods, and this discussion wouldn't even be taking place if they were still here and accessible. And from what I see in the other thread, every effort is being made to get them to come back first, and for us to be able to keep this board running otherwise. Moving to another board is a last resort, but at that point, will be the only alternative left. So I think to all those spearheadig this - they're just being proactive to keep as many of us together as possible (are we going to try to get people who mainly frequent Des' and Juan Pablo's boards a warning, at least?? )

I happened to notice that San's twitter account was active again this afternoon...so I took a chance and tweeted her. Here was our exchange. Hopefully, this will help resolve the situation so you guys won't have to make the decision to create a new board. To be clear, it's not that I don't think you guys should make a new board or that I don't think you guys have a right to, I just don't want to see you all leave here if you don't have to...and btw, I'm still planning on going with you if you leave.

Doesn't really answer much except that they don't communicate with each other. At least she is aware there are concerns here. I hope her soon is SOON.
