Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici - Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

I lurked for years on a Fort and here too (joined in June of that first year) Maybe had ten posts before Sean's season. I am very glad I finally found my voice and started to engage in the conversation.

Most are template driven, but not necessarily wysiwyg if you want to highly customize them - you have to edit the HTML code in templates. BUT - there's not compelling reasons to do a lot of customization as all forum software will work as-is and provide a usable experience.

Just something I need to get off my chest. My intention with discussing a new board was is in no way meant to be disrespectful to the Mods here. I made the decision to make this a public discussion because doing it through PM would be extremely time consuming. Also, I would not have contacted the lurkers because I didn't know they had interest. Again, we wanted this to be a large discussion with all opinions. If you want to be mad we are talking about it or think it's disrespectful, then please take it out on me. The other lovely members of this section had nothing to do with it.

Again, this was a decision I made. I felt pushed to this point after the mods decided to abandon us/take an extended break without alerting us and putting others in charge. Also, they have neglected to respond to any attempts to contact them when I know they've seen them. That's disrespectful in my book too. I don't want to blame this on them, but I wanted to be proactive in case the board did become in danger of ceasing to exist.

Umngirl from my perspective your timing was perfect. This is definitely something that needed to be brought up with respect to SeanCat. We have been celebrating this couple for a year and now their wedding is scheduled for after the Board very well might dissolve. That cannot happen to us! I agree tx hat to a certain extent San and Love have abandoned us with no real alternative. I am behind you 100%.

I stopped watching Bach@Bachlett shows since DeAnna season, felt bad when most couples would breakup eventually. In Aug. just by chance, saw a clip of SeanCat on YouTube, in 2 days I finished the whole season, found this forum, lurked here ever since, and become an addict! You guys are hilarious, sarcastic but in a good way and I can't have enough of you! (just like Sean said to Cat). I have to "come out" today, because I don't want to be left behind! I want to join the new group if you have to move. Thanks.

Yes it was, and I felt like it was a "once in a lifetime thing!" Lots of fun though! :cutesmile!:  Thanks to umn, and others, who are working behind the scenes to have a "backup plan." It does take a lot of time and hard work. So thank you! I really appreciate it!!

Umngirl, If you are getting grief for the decision that was made, it is not fair for you to take the burden alone. You and I have discussed it, as well as all of the posters here in this thread seem to be in agreement. It is not an option for us to have come this far with the Sean and Catherine love story and see it through together to their wedding..and beyond.

IMO, the mods made the decision for us. They left us first. If they come back in a timely manner, great. If not, we have to do what they left us no choice but to do. Everyone here is free to do whatever is right for them.

Thank you for the back-up lipsis. You have been invaluable in this process. And thanks to all the lovely posters here for being receptive to the idea and willing to make a move if necessary.

I think the regulars on this Sean/Catherine forum have nothing but great respect for San and Love_ . I know I missed them, but I just figured they concentrated on the new season/season filming and left us fans to our own devices- not their thing. Until you brought it up, umngirl, I had no idea they were MIA. I think last season might've been a little rough (again) after a relatively mild and straightforward Sean season. But while I'm a little sad they're not around, I don't think the conversation here has been at all disrespectful to San and Love_, nor do I think the idea of a backup plan is disrespectful. I think we'd all just as soon maintain the status quo, but thank you for anticipating the possibility that we'll have to make a change.

We are nothing without you and the other posters. We can't lurk if there's nothing to see. Don't let the naysayers get to you. We think you are doing just fine!
