It would be searchable. When we say "community" it's like what Forumotion is. There are different hosting platforms that you can search for boards in based on their title, what they talk about, what category they are in (sports, entertainment, food as examples). As for how we know who we are accepting, we would ask others to use the same user name so we can verify who they are based off this community.

umn, IIRC, there were actually three levels to that board. One part open to the public where people could request to become a part of the private board as well as discuss more general things, the private invite only JED section and then eventually the even more private section...

Not that you should model any of this after that board, but maybe you might want one part or thread public so the generic fan can find the place...because, frankly, without that public part, I would never have found the JED board.

Honestly, I was a giant JED fan and never did find that other board. Guess I did not look hard enough.

If you didn't hear about it from one of the members or before it went into super lockdown mode, you never would have. It was like Fort Knox at the end.

I've been a longtime lurker here too and have enjoyed coming to this board daily for my Filipinlowe fix. I would love to be taken along with you, if ever a new SeanCat forum is created.

Same here...although I have to confess that I come to this board far more than once a day!

I want to encourage the lurkers to participate, too. I used to be one of you, but it's fun to comment, to speculate (because that's what we do really well- based in fact, of course). And every now and then someone has a nugget to share that they find out of the blue or are able to interpret or place a picture that no one else could. It has been fun to see how many of you there are.

Please include me. I'd explode if there's nobody around to share the excitement of SeanCat wedding!

I would like to request to be included if the move is made to a new forum..I need my Sean and Catherine fix..I also love reading everyones comments.

Long time lurker here also, an avid follower of this forum. Thanks to everyone here for all of your sleuthing and sharing your thoughts. Have been particularly interested in following Sean and Catherine and would love to be able to continue.

Ah, JED, I loved them so, especially Jillian. What a disappointment that turned out to be. That is the source of all my skepticism going forward. (sorry for being OT)

The community directory on certain hosting platforms lists all the different boards and has search tags so you can find ones you might like. It would also be searchable through the major search engines.

And yeah, the Jed board was a sanctuary with all the crap going on. And we got private stuff from Jill plus the ability to chat with her. It was cool at the time. And it killed my skepticism til Jash somewhat brought my belief back and then SeanCat brought my belief back to an even higher level than before.

I don't want to jump ahead to other things but you mentioned you guys were able to chat with Jillian? Would it ever be a possibility to chat with SeanCat one day?

I don't want to jump ahead to other things but you mentioned you guys were able to chat with Jillian?  Would it ever be a possibility to chat with SeanCat one day?  

We had members who formed personal relationships with Jillian. She shared private pictures with us, told us stuff they didn't make public knowledge, etc. She came into our chatroom one night when they were on a layover on their way to vacation. It was a one time thing, but we got to pick her brain about things for a few hours. I highly, highly doubt we will ever get that with SeanCat. They seem much more private and less open than Jillian. Not saying that as a bad thing, they just only share things up to a certain point. Plus this was before twitter and IG really blew up and became a huge thing.
