Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici - Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

I'm going to go with the popular vote re the new board & agree with the consensus on here. I would like to be part of it were the possibility be about to occur. :)

Since I live in Dallas, I feel a kinship to Sean & Cat & y'all even though I did not go through their journey as it originally aired.   I look for the black Porsche (with or without doggies in the window) when I drive near SMU or Mockingbird Station, or HPHS football stadium.   I think of Cat when looking over at Greenhill school where she served cookies.  As a lurker here,  I too appreciate the offer for the lurkers' input to be considered.   I so enjoy my daily browse of info and pictures provided by this positive SeanCat family, and I also would miss this group if it dissolved into thin air.   Is that what would happen?   One day I'd type in "bachandbachettefans"  & I'd get an error message?   I have a mental image of several of you regular posters (either as a feline sitting on Sean's lap, or a volleyball coach, or a mummy bandaged in bed from broken ribs), that I would feel sad from the loss of not reading your posts.  :Frown:
I'll follow y'all where ever you go or stay, if invited, and allowed.   :Smiley:

Maybe they will be able to ensure that the site doesn't expire till the six month absent date - IE in March, and then umngirl and lipsis can take over as mods here. I'm no longer a frequent poster here, because real life is busy, but I was one of the first to help found this board and community and I'd hate to see it fall apart. Sorry about the links up top, I didn't have the patience to embed on mobile :)

Ninu, I appreciate you thinking of me as a moderator but this site is way too complicated for my skills. It involves a lot of codes and such. Plus, I dont think that many here would like how I referee. lol

These posts have really warmed my heart. We've made an impression on many people Seancat family with our love for Sean and Catherine and our genuine warmth for each other. Something good can come out of something bad if you can manage it with the right spirit. The possibility of our group devolving has brought us all even closer together. I'm in awe of the fraternal feeling here and I would miss it my life immensely. Besides sitting on Sean's lap daily and purring becomes addictive.

Ditto for me. I would have to study some stuff to help with the codes and such. Plus I'm far too busy to manage a site this big. And like lipsis, I have a feeling some would take serious issue with our way of moderating.

I don't usually post but I lurk often this is the best place to get seancat info and I to will feel lost without this great group of filipinlowe family. Whatever Lipsis and Umngirl decide I to would like to be added to the list.

I'm with fijibeachbum.  I don't post very often either but I absolutely love this forum and would be depressed if I couldn't read all of your posts daily (actually several times a day).  I would love to be included should you start a new board. You are all so great and it definitely feels like you are all family. Thanks.

Please include me in the new board also. I rarely post, but check the board several times a day for updates. I really enjoy reading everyone's post.

I have been following the discussion about the missing mods on the about this site portion of this board. Like many of you, I think of this as my Happy Place and can't imagine not being able to share the upcoming wedding plans with the rest of you.

I'm all for being prepared if we need to be and would like to be included in whichever way things are set up. Although I have average computer skills, I am not super techno savy. I do however, have access to several very tekkie freinds and would be more than willing to help with anything needed to run/try to set up, etc...if neccessary.

I know that some of you have attempted to get in touch with the mods and while it has been noted that they have posted on Instagram I believe, nothing much has been noted here. Someone mentioned that there has been someone working behind the scenes to clean up some spammer on one of the other forums. Here is what Amberish posted:

This site continues to be moderated by "Forum_Administrator", so someone empowered is quietly maintaining the site.

Also, while this forum was initially set up as a free Forumotion forum, that change a while back when San and Love purchased their own domain and moved us over. Forumotion can only intervene when owning the domain and here they don't.

It's hard enough to run a popular single purpose forum and much harder to run multiple foams within one, thus becoming everything to everyone. Could be San and Love are taking a bit of time to think things through.




If they are feeling overwhelmed by the popularity of the board they created, I would hope they would turn to some of us who are willing to help moderate things if need be. They can appoint additional mods to help run things and give them a breather. After all of their...and our...hard work, it would be a shame to let everything here just disappear!!!

I think the bolded is a great idea! I am a member of another forum that is very popular and prolific (as far as members & posts go) and each separate section there have at least 2 mods overseeing an area to make sure things run smoothly. Overseeing the mods are the two joint owners of the forum & the blog that goes along with it.

I've only been on this board a very short time but I would hate to see it disappear. I hope San and Love come back. :)
