I have a reasonable level of experience in html coding, running a forum and such , and I'd be happy to help with some of the mod duties as needed.... Obviously, the site is a huge task so we need to pick a team rather than a few people, but I'll be able to help if you guys wanted.

Hello everyone!! oh! please, why now that the Big day is coming?! just came back from a long trip out of the country & see this coming. I feel like a wreck train! I hope it all work out for all of the SEANCAT family and that includes me!! whatever happens please bring me with you all!

To share some comments since I was out all morning at volleyball tryouts.

1. I, along with others, have tried to contact San via her IG account. We have had no success with that. I know she sees it considering she posts new pictures and likes others. So she simply isn't responding.

2. To reiterate, we hope they do come back and everything is hunky-dory. But we have no guarantee that is going to happen. Therefore, we want to be prepared and have a place to go so we are all together for the wedding.

3. Welcome lurkers. I want to encourage you all to post more even if you feel like you have nothing new to share. It's nice to see new screennames and avis around here.

4. Again, we (lipsis and I) have kinda discussed our plan and deadlines for the potential switch. I hope everyone keeps sharing their thoughts. We will have answers/solutions/advice when we get to the predetermined dates we have set. Until then, let's continue to enjoy our great section here.

My miniscule 2cents..... if umngirl and lipsis were to have to start a new forum, it would be the least amount of work, obviously, to limit it to Seancat and keep it private. But I am surprised that so many here want a private forum. To me, that severely limits the ease of new friends coming on board to share in the enjoyment and add to the general discussion. Fresh minds are always a good thing, even if you end up having to ban a troublemaker here and there. As I said, just my 2c....hope a differing opinion doesn't qualify me as a troublemaker!

Umngirl.. Thanks for the updates! I am OPTIMISTIC that this too shall come to Past and the Outcome will be GOOD!   

I'm also happy to see so many lurkers posting and hope they continue to do so. The more people to post about their love for SeanCat, the better!

New members can apply for board access, if they are interested. Also, members can always recommend someone. For now, I think we go with the general consensus and keep it private.

How does a potential new member find that the forum even exists if it is private? I am totally ignorant about how this works.

Depending on the forum we choose, it would probably show up in the community directory and, trust me, the link gets out there.

Eta: people may also google Sean and Catherine forums. I would expect that just before and after the wedding there may be a lot of interest.
