Come on ABC, this is your first Bachelor to marry his chosen one and the dude had the highest ratings in years, give his fans what we want!

But I have a feeling some people would not like that they got more wedding coverage than past couples. Oh well, it would be get plenty of viewers and those opinions don't matter.
Pfft with some people. The first Bachelorette got 4 hours so the first Bachelor should too. That's my reasoning and I'm sticking to it.
I'm in total support of your reasoning. Heck, I'd settle for 3 hours.

Happy Sunday family, I am late to the game but I also agree with everyone, I want 4 or more hour of the wedding.  Rumor has it that they are going to be paid much more than any other couples so it might mean more hours for us.  This is the first Bachelor wedding according to ABC and I am sure they will go an extra mile for them.
I am curious about the bolded. My understandiing is that Trista and Ryan got a cool million but Jason and Molly, Ashley and JP got less than $100,000...in fact, for some reason $25,000 seems to stick in my brain for Jason and Molly. I suspect Sean will get more than either of the last two couples but, I don't think he will get anything remotely close to what Trista and Ryan did. Where did you hear this?
My understanding was that the payment amount for the couple is set in the original contract- I would suppose each of them would be compensated- but unless a deal was made before the original contract was signed, it would seem that number was set (the terms are out there in the public domain if anyone wants to find them). What 's not set, probably, is how much will be spent on the wedding itself which, since it would be a production cost, hopefully it wouldn't trigger a tax effect for S&C. So it's worth a pretty penny to them (and presumably their guests who would be transported and lodged by tptb). So I hope Sean and Catherine have negotiated a BIG guest list with all their family and friends in an amazing location so they can garner the full benefit.

The Viqueens are on a bye week so I actually get the Packer game here. I'm a happy camper!

I'm willing to bet Sean has a cable package that includes all those extra channels so he gets all the games. I would have it if my roommates wanted to pay extra.
Oh no doubt. Men and their sports cable go together like me and Pinot Noir. Gotta have it!

Problem is that you must have DirectTV- the only way they're available.... if he's got that, then he gets all the games.

If SeanCat want to play hardball and get four hours along with the extra $$$$, I'm all for it. I'm just not sure TPTB see things the same way we do.
yes I agree, 4 hours! Hope ABC sees it the same way as many of us do!

Oh yea, I'd love to know where you heard this too. Good news, if true but I have my doubts.

I am all for 4 hours and I am not backing off easily either. I am thinking that because Sean and Cat turned down an offer from ABC to do their own mini series show, this is the perfect opportunity for ABC to capitalize on what would have been and air a 4 hour wedding special. The fact of the matter is Sean and Catherine are very popular. Why would any network not take advantage of that? It is a win win situation and I wouldn't get surprised if SeanCat get paid a pretty sum all expenses paid excluded. I will not even begin to compare them to both Jash and Jason and Molly. These two are in their own world and whoever is responsible for planning and marketing tptb weddings at ABC is very aware of that. Trista and Ryan were first to walk down the aisle, so it makes sense they received a cool million.

I don't know..... while we'd love it, those Bach producers love to bring the drama (which they figured out how to do with Ryan/Trista).... I think Sean and Catherine would just be fun and they producers wouldn't know what to do with that!!!! Can they do four hours of happy programming? However long JP and Ashley's wedding special was, they were able to keep all happy (and they still had to fill the minutes with updates from T&R, J&M, and Sean).

I'm sure Sean negotiated a good deal for them. He has a good business head. A big payoff  directly to them has tax repercussions but a huge wedding with the best of everything is worth a pretty penny. They have a huge number of family and friends and doing a formal wedding and a great party themselves would limit the people that could come, the venue, the wedding clothes etc. Weddings cost a fortune these days. The wedding they attended recently was a very extravagant affair. If after all the pluses they still come out with a handsome payment from ABC as a "wedding bonus" where else could that get to do that. I think as the first bachelor to marry his F1 he's ahead of the other marriage in excitement for ABC with the exception of T and R as the first. I think they'll be well compensated. Right now he's one of their prime attractions as crass as that sounds.
Happy for us I hope the makes it a many hour affair.
