Maybe JP & CH will salsa together at the ATFR. That's never happened before!

If he's wearing pink underwear, it's game over.
Linds911. I think they eloped in St Lucia after filming. This is a clue. Sneaky surprise

That ran across my mind the other day when Elan posted a photo of a chapel in St. Lucia. Random -- but then again it is Elan

Yet more Clare pictures and videos on FB and Twitter today. Has there been any of Nikki at all lately? (Sorry if this has been discussed.) I keep thinking it's Clare but then things like the lack of Nikki pictures/videos makes me think it's her because they want us to think it's Clare.

There goes the argument that JP is real and has a level head, if that were the case of eloping.

His response when chastised is to blame it on the culture difference instead of trying to learn the lessons from this country where he lives.
He is incredibly bad at diffusing difficult situations or at validating anyone's feelings but his own, it seems.
It's OK to stumble into it when you don't know a language really well, but his explanations too often make everything worse. All he has to learn is to say, "I am sorry, that is not what I thought I was saying and not what I meant!" <---- memorize this, Juan Pablo. Repeat. Then stop talking.
He does know how but it seems when people don't want to hear what he's saying then it's pointless. For example the situation with Andi about the word default, after Andi insisted he said it, he said okay I said it, he apogized also for sayinghis it's okay's which seem to bug her so bad. He also did the same with Clare, he took responsibility for the rump in the ocean...he did not put it all on Clare but was saying it was a mistake. It seem like people take out only the parts they want to hear. When he touch the ladies face and say listen to me is not him ordering tjem but trying to get attention so he can explain himsef and make them feel better, some men are like that and it's not about demanding.
It is a lot more complicated than that. I realize I am only seeing edited TV, but there are patterns in view that I KNOW from personal experience are NOT indications of a man who knows how to be in a sincere and serious relationship in anything resembling a healthy way. IF he really is like he's been shown to be on TV, and how he comes across in his tweets, he simply has a lot to learn about interpersonal relationships and American culture.
ITA with the bold. What bothers me most is that he doesn't seem interested in learning about American culture. I bare say if people started tweeting mean, rude things about Venezuelan culture he would be screaming and not accepting the response of "relax" "different culture"
Honestly, "American culture" is taking the argument a bit too far. I am 100% American, whatever that is - all of our ancestors came from other places - we are a melting pot. Growing up in the 60's and 70's the "r" word was used often in school yards and not once was used for someone mentally challenged - it was used for someone without intellect or behaving without intellect. <---there were other words I could use but everyone has already ruled those descriptors are not PC either. We never picked on the handicapped, just used the word for bone headed individuals. Venezuela is not alone in using the word and at one point it was not politically incorrect to use the word. We also used the word dill-hole for some folks. Shoot me now. :shocked!: I am sure many people think that JuanPa has a lot to learn about their idea of what is acceptable in "their" society. The area in which he lives would have no issue with any of the things we have discussed here. I lived in Miami for decades. People in the South take issue with people from the North, many in the North assume all Southerners are like Duck Dynasty. I have lived in Miami, San Francisco and Georgia. You can make it anywhere - you just cannot force others to conform to your idea of what is acceptable. The man is not a rapist or serial killer. He may or may not be looking for a wife, I really do not care. I just think we have gone around the bend picking him and each other apart. Vive le difference.
Amen Imilda! Nicely said! I say we should leave the man alone. Enough is enough!!
Has the parent of a child with Down's Syndrome who has been called a "r" several times, I believe that both happen --- people who are being mean/rude to my daughter intentionally and those who are using the word as you describe.
As a society your right, we all come from many different backgrounds and cultures. But over time we have determined what we HERE in this country feel is acceptable - just as other countries around the world have proper etiquette for their societies. I for one wouldn't go to another country, insult someone there, and say "oh well I'm an American so get over it - it's just a cultural difference" I would apologize and try and learn the local customs/acceptable behaviors. I personally expect the same from people with other cultures who are in this country.
Eliza - I am terribly sorry that your daughter has been degraded by use of this word towards her. Children are a treasure and each and every one a gift from God (to me.) I think when I was a child, descriptors such as the "r" word were used simply because they were so descriptive. I do not think it is acceptable to use denigrating words to those with any challenge or racial difference.
That said, in communities like JuanPa's Miami - there are many people who left their country of birth against their wishes. They really do not feel they are here to assimilate. After multiple generations some of that changes. My grandfather came to Hialeah from Cuba in the late 40's - he would have been arrested had he remained. He loved his country and that was Cuba - NOT the US where his freedom was, where his prosperity was - he was longing for his country until the day he died. I am fully American and my loyalties are different.
I too, when in another country try to learn common phrases and customs - but subtleties fail me in other countries. I just think we as a society today - we just dissect the crap out of speech and mannerisms and such.
I will be glad when this season is over - JuanPa is not what I would consider a great catch - I just think he is a regular dude from another country who has little clue.
