Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

I was also thinking Brooks looked a bit thinner, but thought it was just my imagination. I don't know how he could possibly gain any weight anyway..that guy is so active all the time I get tired trying to keep track of him. He looks amazing ..it's awesome finding pictures of him around. Thanks everybody..you're the best !!:Clap:karenap63 wrote:He seems like he's a little thinner. Maybe that's what I need to do....

The problem was me..I never paid any attention to anybody but Brooks.. If I had, it probably wouldn't seem so awkward seeing her with Chris. LOL I will never let myself get so wrapped up with one person like this again. Being out here on the west coast, I heard what happened in the finale before it even aired here...I didn't watch it..so whatever conversations she had I'm oblivious to ..But I did watch Brooks segment of ATFR ...I still haven't watched the finale. I have it recorded..but I dont go there. So stupid !! LOL I drive myself cuckoo.. good thing I can laugh at mysetf ...:Clap:annie340 wrote:Judiful I feel for you. I had a hard time dealing with the break up too, but what help me is realizing that Desiree was not just dating Brooks and that she did have feelings for Chris too. When she said she was conflicted because she didn't want to share her heart, in a way she was saying he wasn't the only one there. If he was, there would be no conflict. Des did cry a lot but I don't think it was total despair. As she told Chris H, her heart was broken but not her spirit. Heart breaks are always tough but, I can say from experience, if it happens enough you do develop coping skills that help you to move on in a short time. Remember it was only a few short months that Des was heart broken over Sean Lowe. We also don't know whether she was able to get counseling behind the scenes to help her. Remember also that given the situations they are in where they don't spend any time alone together (except the fantasy suite) while they may fall in love, I honestly don't think the connection is the same as if you are dating someone exclusively and having that alone time. That being said, I don't think it would be impossible to move on quickly from that. Desiree said it was two weeks between when Brooks left and she accepted Chris proposal (we saw it in one week). Another thing I looked at that really opened my eyes was the Kiss Leader Board for the Show. Who do you think got the most kisses? It was not Brooks. Chris not only got the most but it was also the kind of kisses he got, the make out and hot tubs ones. There is something to be said for passion. If you want to understand Des' decision, you have to look at the whole picture, including watching dates with Chris. You may see some of what you missed there. I still wonder how a person can go from the total dispair and hopelessness Desiree experienced when Brooks left her to accepting Chris's proposal just five days later. I'm convinced she was talked into it by the prodicers. I want her happy which she is ; I'm so happy for her. But, the whole thing was bizarre !! LOL! Judiful don't think you're stupid for getting wrapped up with Brooks to that extend. We all are wrapped up with him, by virtue of us being here. Desiree is not the only one who fell for him. I think we can all identify because we all wanted the same thing and like Des, got heart broken except she moved on and we're still holding on. I have gotten wrapped up many times over being an avid soap fan. I was wrapped up with Erica Kane and whatever flavor of the month she had, Angie and Jessie, Luke and Laura, Sunny and Carley etc. The list goes on even romances in shows like Dynasty, Beverly Hills 90210 and Moonlighting etc, etc. I admit it; I'm a hopeless romantic even for fake romances so, do not feel bad about yourself. My favorite romance now is the forbidden one on Scandal between Olivia Pope and President Fitzgerald Grant (he's married). I really think you should try to watch the finale because it may give you the closure you need. I came across a site where Brooks answers fans questions about his experience on the Bachelorette. Some of his answers might surprise you. This might help you find closure too. That was part of the problem for me too. Now, I realize the show is over and everyone is happy now, but I'm discussing what was happening during the show. I was aware of the spoiler, but am always skeptical. I was more convinced it was Brooks after the first date and then as the show went on. She was always looking at him, standing next to him, etc. Then as she started professing her love for him, I thought it had to be him because they just wouldn't leave that in if it was anyone else. Sort of like Ben and Courtney and the skinny dipping, they wouldn't have left that in if it was someone else. I didn't see her having a connection with anyone but Brooks. I paid attention to some of the other guys I thought were cute or charming, but still thought it was Brooks all along, plus Brooks looks-wise is so my type and so charming. I just fell in love with him. I really liked her final guys, all seem like genuinely decent, respectful guys. They all seemed like marriage material. I think Des is just the type who didn't want to be alone, falls fast for someone, and had someone telling her he loved her. To be honest though, I don't get how you can go from Brooks to Chris in the blink of an eye. I understand she is happy now, but I don't think they fell in love until after the show was done airing. If Brooks had stayed, it would have been him in the end. Since he left, she picked the next one on the list and now everyone is happy.Judiful wrote:The problem was me..I never paid any attention to anybody but Brooks.. Judiful I liked all of Des final guys too. I often said if I was in her place, I would choose the same guys. LOL! I don't agree that Des would just choose anyone though. I think she took the process pretty serious. Yes, she did stumble a little with the situation with Brooks but, she is human. The way that she took each relationship separate and made notes about what she liked about each guy shows that she was very deliberate about the process. Do you remember the hometown date with Brooks when she reminded him what was great about their relationship? When she had to remind him there, I felt really uneasy about his feelings but, by the end he had me convinced that he dealt with his doubts. Like I said before, I think Des fell for both Brooks and Chris. With Brooks taking himself out, I think she could focus more on what Chris meant to her so, I don't think it's hard to see the turnaround because the feeling were already there. I think the producers focused more on Brooks so, we couldn't see that Des had strong feelings for with Chris too. Brooks is pretty honest about his experience on the show and I think he feels that way too. That's why he was surprised that Des said she was so much in love with him. If Brooks had stayed, I'm not convinced he would have been chosen, especially if he could not say he loved her on that last date. I guess we'll never really know for sure but, Brooks did say that his only regret is that he didn't leave sooner.Mustang19 wrote:That was part of the problem for me too.
