Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici - Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

I know everyone wants to always focus on the positive and I agree with that. But I do have to say that I've always been annoyed with the way Catherine's sisters spoke about her to Sean during that HTD. Even Sean said that Catherine's sisters made him doubt their relationship.

Now, I could understand them expressing doubts to Catherine when speaking to her alone. But after seeing her genuine feelings for Sean, they should have spoken more flatteringly about her to Sean. The things they were saying to him about how she goes 100% with guys, then when the fun is over she's kind of over it, how she is moody and messy, how she's not ready to have kids, etc. They didn't speak about her in the best light and Catherine must have been very upset when she watched it back.

I'm sure they support her now, since they are engaged and have been together nearly a year. But it would have been nice if they would have been more supportive back then. It kind of made me think of what Catherine said after talking to Sean's father. How his family supported each other on anything. Obviously she's had issues with that in her family.

I agree that I was also annoyed with her sisters. When your sister brings home a guy she likes, you should be as welcoming as possible and not make negative comments. However, I try to chalk it up to them not feeling comfortable in front of cameras and saying things they probably regretted later. This was a new experience for their family and the sisters, along with mom probably felt awkward with a cameraman there. I'm sure they all discussed it later and everything is fine now. They can see now how happy Cat is and Cat's mom has said she was skeptical at first but now can see they are truly in love. All's well that ends well!

Well Catherine also told Sean on their FD that she didn't really talk about relationships to her sisters, she talked more about that to her best friend. She said there were always issues of jealousy, and someone being in a different place, etc. I think they genuinely want the best for her, but maybe there was some jealousy there, who knows. I really can't think of any other reason why they talked so discouragingly about her. The way they talked about her was as if they didn't want Sean to pick her, as if they were warning him off. That's how it comes across.

I agree, you always want the best for your sister/best friend, e.t.c which I don't blame them for, some of the stuff they said wasn't nice, but looking back they probably regret it, talked it over in private away from the cameras, and now they see how in love SC are! all is good now! Hoping they have a great time this weekend all together!

Yes, I'm sure they regret it now, and hopefully have apologized to her for that. I wonder if there was more to the conversation that we didn't see, where they were possibly saying positive things to Sean about her. Since this is a reality show, I'm sure if there were comments like that, it most likely ended up on the cutting room floor lol.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was about to post "cutting room floor". We all know the show is edited to have a certain effect. Sean indicated how many hours were filmed to use two minutes, I believe the sisters had some good things to say as well. Truth be told Cat did say she was pissed at her sisters on her LCD Sean. I'm hoping all is forgiven and water under the bridge. Cat does love the warmth of Seans parents. Now I 'm thinking they will be one happy blended family.

The visit with the sisters really confuses me especially when I watch the video with the grandmother, it seems like they were different at that point. I really think what the sisters said was not so bad because they did not influence Sean's decision. I know at times sisters are hard to deal with, talking from experience since I have three of them.

Cat did say on her date with Sean that sisters can be difficut sometimes and over protective some times. That's over I'm sure. Sean could charm the birds off the trees and he's about to. He's Cat's forever man and I can't wait to see him with her family and friends. Can't wait.

I dont think Sean was all that bothered by the sisters. When Catherine told him on the boat in Thailand that she was pissed at them, he seemed genuinely surprised. Maybe they made him have a couple questions but I don't think he was worried too much. He was pretty far gone for her at that point.

I remember I felt sick to the stomach when I watched her sisters with Sean the first time. I didn't like their approach. I was so embarrassed for Catherine, however I believe they must have said several positive things about Catherine. Those conversations were obviously edited out to maximize drama. I think Cat's family was very skeptical. I don't think they initially put the show and Cat's journey on the show in high regard. They didn't even seem impressed with Sean from what we saw, except for Lola  Perhaps they always had high expectations of Cat and had always been hard on her, which for Cat must have translated into jealousy or luck of support from her sisters. They should be past that now and ready to party with SeanCat
