Anyway, after August has passed and no announcement was made I knew the tv wedding will have to wait...(6 months to 1year is the new "soon" i guess)but then that doesn't mean they can't have a civil wedding first way ahead of  the wedding..? But if this does'nt happen (if we have a way of knowing) maybe they're really not in a hurry..which is also fine.

Did JP and Ashley have their civil wedding months before their tv wedding?

19 months later actually....

The fact that they are kicking off JP's season 1-2 weeks earlier is certainly interesting though.... I definitely think that they (SeanCat+TPTB) were originally gunning for a late summer/early fall wedding in LA but these plains probably had to be nixed bc of production.....
I am thinking with their current/(and seemingly final) relocation to Dallas that the wedding is going to take place there, either in late Nov/early Dez(airing right before JPs season) or in late Feb/early March(airing right after his season and before DWTS..)

I know everyone's been hoping the wedding would be this year and it looks like it could be early next year which is a downer.  But .... I can't help but think since SeanCat are living apart, it's gotta be tough on them.  They must've gotten used to living under the same roof and now to be in separate houses has to suck.  I know they're close by and will see each other probably every day but still, it's gotta be tough.  That's what made me think the wedding would be very soon.  They must hate living apart.  I'm thinking the wedding will be December.  I can't imagine it next year.  sad

I guess they are stronger than we are.  We are weak, weak, impatient people ....  sniff sniff.      :Frown:

It's much better if they are going to live in the same roof in dallas and not this set up though . But I understood why it should be because his parents are there and that was part of his faith. . And they honor each other.

I agree with the bolded. I also think that was initially the plan. As far as a late Nov/early Dec wedding in Dallas is concerned, I am not so sure the weather in Dallas that time of the year will be conducive, and as much as the timeline for previous weddings now seems a more likely scenario, I am still holding out for a wedding SOON and a air date much later. I am not sure they'd do something different for Sean and Catherine, but then again why not? Stranger things have happened, so it wouldn't surprise me if they did. For starters, the wedding location seems to have changed from traditional L.A. We'll see what happens.

As much as I hate to damper everyone's enthusiasm, I think we need to temper our expectations of what "soon" means. Near the end of Emily's season, Chris Harrison was on Access Hollywood Live. He said Ashley and JP would be getting married "soon." That was May. Ashley and JP's wedding wasn't announced until November (although we first got word of some of the filming in October).

I'm as excited for a SeanCat wedding as anyone. My only point is that "soon" doesn't mean "imminent." With filming on Juan Pablo's season due to start shortly, there's no way there will be a wedding before his season is done filming. And as much as we'd all like to rationalize otherwise, there's not much reason for the producers to operate on a schedule much different than they did for Jason/Molly and Ashley/JP, where the announcements were made within a month of the actual weddings.

So as much as it sucks, we're all going to have to sit tight and be patient. The end result will be worth it!
There you go Archer making all kinds of sense. but I agree with you. I've always thought the wedding would take place after the filming of next season, perhaps in late November or early December, or even early next year and then aired either right before the season or as a special extra while that season is on.

In the meantime, we will just have to enjoy our favorite couple as they just live their lives in Dallas.
Ha! It's an unfortunate side effect of being a lawyer. Plus, I remember the seemingly interminable wait for an announcement about Ashley and JP, how we dissected the timing of Jason and Molly's wedding, and analyzed every wedding-related clause of the Bachelor/ette contract. I learned patience is a must. But jut like with Ashley and JP, I have no problem being patient, because I have every confidence that the wedding will happen.

Also, I miss you! I hope the new job is going great so far!
Miss you too! And the job is going awesome.

If the wedding is indeed going to be much later than we were all hoping for, those kids have a lot more patience than I do. I know they were keen on tying the knot ASAP due to their religious beliefs and the fact that they wouldn't be intimate until those marriage vows. What strengh it must take for them not to be together.

I think waiting for the wedding is sensible. It takes time to get to know each other and adjust to all the little details in life. We have to remember that their engagement was really just the start of dating, and look at the time lines that way.

I prefer that they not rush into it. I want them to get married to STAY married, and taking their time shows me that they ARE serious.

Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

I can't speak for them, but many religious couples who plan to wait for the wedding decide somewhere in the engagement that they are as good as married and loosen up the rules a bit.

I wouldn't call getting married between now and december rushing into marriage, nor do I think a longer engagement defines the success of every marriage, but that's me. I think we all know the waiting is not their doing, but tptb's. I'd still take them serious even if they married at ATFR :)

I know.  They probably think of each other as husband and wife already since they know they are committed for life so probably some hanky panky going on.  If not, then that wedding night will be EXPLOSIVE!   firework

I agree with you on that, however many religious couples also decide to actually wait for the wedding night to consumate their union. They decide on certain boundaries and hold each other accountable, and I am inclined to believe SeanCat are doing just that.

You're probably right Iploeg, they're a religious committed couple and very sincere. All of us romantics are just dreaming for ourselves of their explosive chemistry, and I think we're a bunch well meaning busy bodies. No harm intended, just a little dreaming beatingheart beatingheart beatingheart
