Went out to the living room to see if my dad was watching since he's been a fan forever, and yup of course. I'm not as hooked on football as I am with baseball&hockey but I just might start rooting for the SeaHawks/Cowboys now. Hugesmile

People keep analyzing what Sean said at what specific time or after what specific date, but I really don't believe he got clarity at such a late stage. I think he knew very well he was falling in love with Catherine from quite early on. The way he looks at her and the way he lights up when he sees her. I think he knew way earlier than he admits. When Lindsay asked him I think he was being a gentleman and didn't want to hurt her feelings. It would be painful to say he knew early on. I think Sean knew quite early but he knows the show depends on suspense and he, along with Chris H. wants to show to be successful. I believe he did have strong feelings for Lindsay but that he also knew Catherine was the one earlier than he is letting on.

Not that I think he was lying. I do believe he cared very much for Lindsay and did not want to lead her on. But I think his feelings for Catherine were stronger from an earlier point than we think. After he proposed, the way he said "I love you so much," with such emotion and all choked up, was like a release. It seemed like he had wanted to say those words for so long and he finally let it all out. I just don't believe Cat and Lindsay were neck and neck and then he awoke with clarity.

Also Neal Lane said all rings he had were all in Catherine's size and Sean knew ahead of time that he was picking a ring for Catherine. I think the reading of Catherine's letter was also a recording after the proposal.

me too i want to know where Neal Lane said that! i was VERY upset with Sean too when he said that he had clarity just after the Last Date, it's kind of an insult to Catherine, but then i didn't believe him when he said that, he knew early on!!! or he just mistaken lust for love with lindsay! but i'm glad his brain cells came back to life at the end,,, it left a bad taste in my mouth though , :yellowsleptic:

I think you could be right. Didn't Sean respond on AFTR of The Bachlorette that he probably would have packed it up and went home to the question Chris asked "what would you have done if Catherine had said "I'm out" late in the game just like Brooks did." That kind of tells me that a lot of the "confusion" he felt was for the show.
