I'd also like to say what wonderful news for the Shull family and the rest of the family. I hope that they are able to have her sooner than later as that's a long time in a babies life. They've got to be ecstatic! Wonderful news for them all. And, what a cute name. Shay is holding true to her British love of names. Cute.

Oh, I haven't read her blog. I thought since they were making the announcement now, that it was happening soon. Well I guess it's like pregnancy, you have to wait almost a year for the baby to get here. Fall 2014 does seem like a really long time though.

Unfortunetely, it is realistic though... Especially considering they only started the official process this summer....
International adoptions can take 1-4 years to be carried out, depending on where the adoptees and adopters come from...
The fact that she is expecting the process to be "only" 1 year/1,5 year tells me that either the country of origin is one where foreign adoptions are common or that the child is already older.(perhaps even both)

Congrats to the whole Shull/Lowe family, though! :Smiley: :dancingdoggy!

thanks!!! and yes! this place is so impressive!!! it's packed with infos and pics etc. that i haven't seen or known before,! goodness i wish i found this place a lot sooner! grrr

welcome from me too asianAnnieb. I'm a fairly recent member of this family and I love being able to come here everyday. We share so much, we are friendly, bright, literate, and come from so many different places and so many different walks of life. The glue that holds us all together is our "good obsession " with the lovely Catherine and handsome prince Sean.
Enjoy the laughter and the sometimes silly rauncy humor and the serious discussions on life. A lot to learn from each other !

@JP_Rosenbaum: Any good ideas as to how I should "accidentally" wake up @ashhebert next to me? I'm bored and on East Coast time (7am PST)

I think Sean should do something similar to Cat one day and then record her reaction giggling
