Wouldn't it all be hysterically funny... and I mean this half joking (don't take me too seriously) and half serious (maybe I shouldn't joke about it)...

...if Chris Harrison comes to the podium to give her "armchair shrink" service and the crafty editors have made sure JP is NOT in those FRC previews? Just like the way they have kept him buried in other previews.

Let us suppose something happens with him that would be too obvious in a preview. Don't ask me "what it would be?" I wouldn't have a clue... maybe she meets JP at a different location or at a much later time? (Heck, Eddie's limo was driving around in circles while Jillian had to decide whether or not to take Reid instead! Chris had to practically smack her across the head just to get the stupid show over with. I could easily see him smack Ashley: you have fussed over this "will he leave me?" crap long enough! Do we need to replay your under umbrella makeout in Phuket back to you?)

If there are no medianet or ABC-backed snapshots of both guys at FRC the last week of this month... and IF Chris is wearing a striped shirt under his suit at the start of the FRC, I will STRONGLY suspect that JP will arrive in blue tie... and in a "gee we haven't seen this before" setup.

Wouldn't it depend on what kind of shoes she is wearing and how much taller they make her?

Not to mention the angle of the camera, which can totally change the perspective. That particular camera shot was not taken straight on like the one of Ashley and who we presume to be Ben. And in that shot of JP getting the rose pinned on, his head is down, making him appear a little shorter. He is still a good half head taller than Ashley, even when she is in (presumably) very high heels.

I'm comparing height by looking at their shoulders, not where their head is in any given sc.

There's a screen cap over in the screen cap no discussion thread of them at the Muay Thai where JP is barefoot and Ashley just has on tennis shoes that a give a good view of their standard height difference. I dont' know how to bring the cap over to show. Its on page 2.

There's been mention that Ashley chases after someone (presumably F2), but that he's gone in the chopper by the time she arrives. So, exactly how fast did this guy run and was the chopper ready and waiting to swoop him away? How could she not get to him before he left?

In the slomo it didn't look like he was all that far ahead of her. I know she's probably wearing heels, but still. Surely she must have caught up to him or at least yelled for him before he took off, unless maybe she tripped I guess.

Thanks so much for that slo-mo! I think it will be very helpful.

It appears to me that the last sequence in the slo-mo is entirely different from the rest of the shots at the podium and looks more like she is standing where she is in tears talking about how unfair it is. The sun is shining strongly on the back of her hair so she is facing a different direction, but more importantly there is a tree/shrub on the left side of the screen. I can't see any such thing or shadow of one at the podium area.

Also, at this slow speed, it looks to me that she is looking at this man with great love in her eyes as he walks past her and that she may be just beginning to smile where the film cuts.

I think the "stressful" look on her face that they are showing us with GSG is just tons of emotion and her trying not to cry because she's so overwhelmed in the moment. But I don't think anything bad is happening at that point, she is overwhelmed because she is about to get a proposal. And they cut it off right as she is beginning to smile.

Thanks Rosepetal and bluwavz for the videos! Both of them are really helpful. In the slow-mo, it's at about the 3:08 mark that it looks like his arm is moving back to reach for something in his pocket. And Ashley looks down at that point to watch what he is doing. At the 4:35 mark he walks around her in order to get on her right to propose. I remember in seasons past people talking about how they want the b'ette on the left for the proposal so they get a straight shot of her left hand facing the camera when the ring gets put on. Because of that and the wind whipping her hair all into her face, it would make sense that they would have him walk around her to make the proposal. And the look on her face at that point looks lovestruck. Also her gaze is watching him walk around, it seems more circular than walking away, and at the end of the turn, right before it goes to black, she looks up, as if that person walked around and is facing her. So she looks up at his face.

Obviously this is all JMO. But someone else posted this all a while ago, unfortunately I can't find the post. So I guess this is just me saying after seeing it again that I still agree with them!
