Even if I'm a big fan of Brooks... I think it's kind of weird that he used pictures of Des and him on the presentation? What do you think about that or is it just me with that opinion? :shock:

I don't think it was right either. If he wanted to put himself up there that is one thing but Des did not sign up to be a part of his marketing program. That had to be a very emotional time in her life to have it televised. Then to have him use it again in a marketing campaign was not right, especially if she had no idea he was going to do that. I still love him but that was wrong on so many levels.

Now I wonder if that was done because she got engaged to Chris a few days after the break up with him. He does not seem like he is that cruel of a person. So who knows how that all happened.

I really agree with everything that you wrote nannymargie! I also love Brooks but that's just weird... And I feel sorry for Des for not knowing about it. Brooks is a good man but I think that the respect for Des in that point was very bad.

Re: first sentence, last paragraph. Why would he even care what Des decided to do? He said he didn't love her and wouldn't love her, so I can't see why he'd want "revenge" (that's just the word I'd use if he did it because she got engaged to Chris a few days later).

Nannymargie, I'm glad that even though you love Brooks, you can see that his using Des just isn't right.

I disagree with as notion that he is somehow "using Des"...he is doing a presentation entitled "Marketing Lessons from the Bachelorette". Desiree was the Bachelorette so how can he not talk about her?! How is any different from anyone else talking about their experience post-show?

I didn't see it but based on what was said by people who attended he talked about his experience, marketing in social media, and how it related to inbound marketing. Brooks' journey involves Des so I am not sure how he can talk about it without mentioning the biggest thing that happened.

IMO, the scene is just as emotional of him as it is for her and doesn't "belong" exclusively to either of them. It happened, why should he ignore it. If he talking about lessons I assume its regarding honesty and being upfront when something is not right or wrong for both parties. If anything the presentation loses credibility if he fails to mention it. After all wouldn't that be the biggest lesson of the journey?!

Well I can understand him talking about it because that was his experience but when they showed a picture of Des on the big screen of her crying, that I find is wrong. The picture was just of her and not him. That is what I have a problem with. I wasn't there but from a picture I saw, Des was on the big screen when she was doing her PI after he left.

All I know for a fact is that Brooks has been nothing but classy throughout the time he's been a public figure, on the show and off, while it was airing and after.

Agree, It doesn't sit well that they used that photo, but since we don't know the context of that picture being used or even if Brooks himself put together the slides, I'm going to stick with what he has shown me and assume the best rather than worst about it's inclusion. Doesn't seem like something Brooks would do to use it to be honest.
