I don't. I really want her to be happy. I hope she's found a lifelong, healthy, real life relationship. But from an "entertainment" perspective, it's not a fairy tale happy ending love story that I want to ooh and ahh over. The way it was presented to me doesn't make me want to follow them post show. I wish them well and truly hope the best for Desiree. I think the show really screwed her over in how they set up her epic fall for weeks just so they could "shock" viewers.

i don't think anyone wants des alone and brokenhearted, but that she'd be with someone she's truly in love with. i would rather she find someone new outside her season to be with that she feels as strongly about as she did about brooks. i don't think she'll ever be as happy with chris as she was with brooks, so i think she needs to find someone new that she could fall in love with. jmo.

Now Atem you know no one ever ever said we wanted her alone and broken hearted. We all wanted her with Brooks because that is the love story we were shown and Brooks was the one she wanted and loved.

yeah, i think once brooks makes up his mind that is it. i have this silly hope that once she and chris play their relationship out she will run into brooks at a bach nation event and they'll try again. maybe in a year or two from now and it would just be a spontaneous, unexpected thing. oh, of course i don't think it will really happen but one can hope.

I want to sit Brooks down and make him watch the HTD not once but twice and then say "What in the heck happened....have you lost your mind?!?" Then I'd make him watch every single fan video...twice. I'd be giving him that very stern mother look shaking my head in disapproval.    :greenman:

With how she freaked over posts on her instagram about Brooks being final 1? I doubt it! But, Bres did have the best vids.

I most definitely don't want Des heartbroken and alone. However I think she l think she short changed herself in the long run. It was like she considered the stint as Bachelorette as her very last absolute chance at long lasting fulfilling love. Bottom line was Brooks was her guy and the one she wanted, his looks, his personality, his mind, his goofiness, his spontanteous attitude. That was the type of man she wanted. He didn't feel it with her, or psyched himself out about it, whatever the case, he couldn't meet her at the finish line. But instead of taking what she knew about what she was looking for to apply it to the outside world and her real life to keep looking for that man that embodied what she found with Brooks and could meet her at the finish line, she instead decided that the Bachelorette was somehow her last chance at finding love and went with what was leftover. A man she flat out said she could not love the same way. She is what, 27? It's like she hit a panic button and just forced herself to make Chris the one and justify it to anyone and everyone that would listen. If it works out and she has a happy life, then so be it. But it was just kind a weird message to send. I don't think Des is at her best with Chris considering what I saw with them together on the show and she deserves to be just as happy in the relationship as the person she is with. I don't buy it with her and Chris. I still think she would have been better off leaving alone and meeting another person with the Brooks like qualities she completely fell for and didn't want to be without who also could be in love with her. I don't think it would have been impossible to do and maybe down the road she will still have that chance if she doesn't get to caught up with trying to save face and prove to everyone her and Chris are the "real deal."

I think Brooks is genuinely happy for Des to be engaged but I also think her doing such the quick turnaround only reinforced in his mind like many have said, that he made the right decision in leaving.
