Episode 6 blog about Cat

I was anxious to get to Canada and forget all about my discouraging week filming The Bachelor in Montana. It started off so promising with Lindsay and then quickly unraveled with the drama surrounding Tierra. Canada was my chance for a clean slate, and I was eager to start the week off on a great first date with Catherine.

I had just recently started to develop real feelings for Catherine. Our relationship was slower to develop than some of the others, but being with her felt natural. There was never a shortage of laughs, and she seemed like someone who truly fit the "best friend" description I had been searching for.

Between driving the ice bus, sledding down hills and drinking hot cocoa, our glacier date was perfect and so much fun. We turned up the romance that evening in our ice castle. We were able to bounce between serious moments and goofy moments so well. The night ended with kisses in the falling snow and I didn't want to say goodnight. The date helped put me back in a positive mental state. I felt hopeful again.

Yeah the 2nd part of the HTD is always hard to watch given how her sisters reacted with their 1st impression of Sean but of course they only want the best for their sister, I would be the same way if I had a sister. Thankfully Sean saw past that and probably talked about it with her off camera. In regards to the rose ceremony, for a split second I thought that the spoilers were wrong and he could have sent Catherine home instead because of what happened *whew* Now was he torn between sending home Des or Catherine, no because as he has said he never wanted to say goodbye to Catherine, so I think it was more producer doings and him having a bond with Desiree that he felt bad sending her home. Obviously it all worked out for the better. IMO.

Oh yes have been wanting to go back and read his blogs and twitter posts from when the show was airing! Thanks for posting!

Thanks umngirl, these blogs are interesting and full of feeling. I forgot about the content. You are so helpful in reminding all of us how the drama unfolded.
Don't know how to get or post this information and a lot of the other things you post so I'm so grateful to you for sharing.

I know I am not very good with the formatting but he also talked about her in the week 2 blog. I always felt like this was his response to no screen time for her. Wanted to make sure she was on the radar screen.

"Catherine also stood out in a great way. I noticed when she stepped out of the limo the first night that she was beautiful, but it wasn't until the Harlequin date that I learned how funny she was. She slipped me a note that said she's vegan but loves the beef, implying that I'm a beefcake. I definitely knew I wanted to spend more time with Catherine"

Thanks for grabbing that one. I was just about to go check the early blog for mentions but I got sidetracked.

For those who haven't, it's always fun to go back and read the archives from when the show is airing. Or even the early twitter/facebook and media threads for SeanCat from around March and April.

Thanks for posting the blogs umngirl! I've read them multiple times and they never get old.

I don't know why I didn't do it sooner but going back and re-reading the archives has been great. Especially when there were fan photos posted and people trying to guess who they were. (i.e. there were photos of Tierra's one-on-one in St. Croix and people thought it was Selma). I especially like the blogs between Sean and the other past bachelors (i.e. John Wolfner and Charlie Grogan)
