Also, I'm still having a really hard time with how everything turned out. I guess you could say I had my hopes up. I hope Brooks will find his great love eventually, and she will be very lucky!

While watching the season play out, and being unspoiled for most of it, I saw that B & D had something special. I also think this took B somewhat by surprise.

I will always think that if he and D had been able to spend more time together, I think they would have both made it to the "Finish line" - with D running in 1st place, of course.

Then after seeing the preview of ep 10 and what appeared to be an awful lot of crying, I went on the net and was spoiled pretty quick. That was fine with me, I like B and D together. Too bad. D was crying SO much, that I remember how zombie-like you are after a trauma anda good cry. Kinda like a deflated balloon. She really wasn't in any state to make a rational life decisions.

There's a saying that goes something like: In every relationship, there is always one person who does most of the loving, and it's the other person's reaponsibility to hold that love and be careful with it. D did the majority of the loving (although B was closer to the finish line than he is letting on, I think).

I truly think D has a real chance to make an excellent life with C. But in this regard I feel he loved her more on FRC day, but that the relationship has certainly fluorished since then. Good for them. It will be interesting to see what happens now.

I hope B finds his happiness, too. His appearance on AFTR was soooo awkward. I wanted to look away but I couldn't. He looked great and it was nice of him to throw them a bone and say he could see the connection between C and D all along Classy.

It seems to be a common misconception that Brooks fans aren't over this whole thing. Well, I'm not one of 'em. Sure, it was kind of depressing for things to not turn out the way they were spoiled, but I hadn't been on that Brooks and Des train for weeks. I didn't think they fit and I thought Brooks would be making a mistake to propose to her. And now I see why. Brooks and Des have little in common. Especially things intellectual, such at wit and being funny.

Can you imagine Brooks and Des together now (with how they've been post-show)? I can't. Not at all.
