It was from an article that someone linked today on this thread several pages back, but I think the SC was also posted today in this thread. While Brooks was home for his HTD, his employer set up a bunch of social media and registered for domains, etc., suggesting the Brooks will not venture from far from the public eye.  I'm not sure what his plans are specifically to capitalize on his fan base, but feel confident you all won't be disappointed.  Sleuthing-wise, that timeline was a clue that he really true was planning on Checking out of the Desiree's Heartbreak Hotel as of his time in Salt Lake.  We will probably never know all the conversations that occurred then/there, but the registration dates for domains that would have no relevance in a Happy Couple post-show reality is so telling as to be dispositive for me.  He went to Antigua to break up and it turned out to be messier on camera than he'd hoped.  He is an appealing guy, will be interesting to see what he does with his "almost fame" (that's what I think of all of these people ... they are only almost celebrities, but they do have a following).  Jef Holm has used his following to score chicks as far as I can tell.  Brooks seems a better sort.

It's funny -- I found 1F repulsive. Truly just loathed him and saw his transparency from day one. So I was always perplexed that some folks compared Brooks to Jef. Sure, they have the religious angle and are from the same state (sort of), but that's where it ended for me. And I think that his authenticity on the show really demonstrated how far apart these two are: Brooks proved to be one of the most shockingly honest/genuine contestants in recent history of the show, while Jef was the opposite. I'm glad that my initial gut check on him wasn't wrong. If he wants to go out and mack on some girls for a bit, that's totally cool by me. But I can't imagine they'll be freshman in college and the like. And so far, since I'm not seeing any ridiculously arranged photo-ops and he's not using some asinine peace sign in every single shot, I think Brooks will emerge post-show fairly unscathed. :)

Hi...I don't follow. What social media and domains are you referring to? Because all of his peronsal social media was setup post show on or around 5/22 (Facebook, Instagram, twitter). In fact, it was one of the reasons I initially believed the spoiler because he was in CA. Des was doing Kimmel that same week and I thought at the time it might have been during a safehouse visit.

As for Brooks leaving after HTD, he has always been clear that it was his family that made him see that the feelings were not there because they asked the questions he had not. At ATFR Brooks admitted that coming to Antigua his mind was made up that the relationship was over . Someone even pointed out that he only brought a wheely-backpack which suggests he was only staying a short time. It not a secret that Brooks was done by Antigua so I'm not following what you are implying above that we don't already know with regard to him leaving as well. Hope you'll expand.

I'm just glad Brooks can move on now. He can get over it all and be grateful in the long-run that he didn't end up with her. We still mourn their love story, but he is in a good place. He has his friends, his family around, he lives in a city that he enjoys and he likes his job. He's in a good position. He also gets to stay away from the Bachelor.

Adele, I'm looking at your avi as I read your response. The first thing that came to my mind is that I won't get a chance to see Brooks' real life love story when he looks at the woman of his dreams like he's looking at Des in that picture. Dang, he's going to make one special gal VERY happy one day!

I agree with you.  Brooks had a few pics with fans and that is cool but Jef was on a party bus at colleges.  I think Brooks has more class than that.

I edited my post above to show that the same date he is confirmed to have filmed with his sister and Mom in Idaho, his boss Dave Bascom registered brooksforester.com ... not BROOKSANDDES4EVER.com, lol. He was flying solo post show as of APril 27. No going back. He was on his way to Antigua to break up with Des.

We'll see what he gets up to. Time tells all. It's super-telling to me professionally. I conclude he checked in with work while home, his imminent voluntary exit (and the PR consequences) were discussed with co workers and boss, he authorized his co workers (who run the Facebook page that lists this domain, and who are after all expert social media advisors for a living) to grab that domain before it disappeared to the masses as his name leaked out as a finalist on the show. Freely accept it means nothing to others.
