I think he will, too.isittrue wrote:Hi. I am really enjoying all the Brooks interviews and pictures. Regarding TPTB considering him as the next bachelor, I did raise that possibility prior to the final episode if he was not F1 - based on his edit and his popularity. I am glad that he decided not to do it, as much as I enjoy watching Brooks, I am glad he will not be part of this franchise any longer. I think he will find what he is looking for on his own.

When Brooks left, he was 'done' with his relationship with Des, when Drew left, he was still invested....and looking for answers.
Actually, the show sequestered Brooks and didn't let him watch it. Wow, this show is really something else!
Perhaps they were hoping that he would show some sort of change of heart if he did not know the outcome and have some drama on their ATFR ?
They really are evil.

Also, I'd love to see what he's like when really in love. Because if he wasn't at all in love with Des and melted me into a puddle, I can't even imagine!
I know if must be something when he is in love....I always felt like I was eavesdropping on their dates. And they gave me goosebumps...oh well!

I posted this in another thread (where the folks who think all the Brooks fans are blind and delusional AND rubbing salt into our wounds). I'm SO relieved that there are others here who, like me, feel like they've been gut-punched:
I have never posted before, but have been a lurker for a very long time. I just wanted to echo relaxing's note above. Although I really liked Chris (loved his 1st night limo exit) and Drew (loved his sweetness and defense of Des), I was very drawn to Brooks due to his dates with Des. Chris and Drew are more my type physically, but Brooks is more my type cerebrally. Clearly, we never know what insights the cutting-room-floor conversations between the lead and his/her suitors contained, but to me, Brooks thoughts seemed more direct as to what he was looking for in a life partner. They seemed deeper from the get-go - like he was trying to see if she was a good fit for him as well rather than just trying to impress her.
Both Brooks & Des said they lived in the moment as much as they could on the show. It was in those moments that I believe Brooks was in love with Des. If you have any doubt about his feelings for her, all you have to do is re-watch the "skipping, jogging, running, finish line" date. Look at the smile on Brooks' face when she responds to his question about where she thinks they are on that scale and she says, "I'm running." If that smile does not reflect the look of a man in love and happy with her response, I don't know what is.
Although I'm disappointed that the love story that I saw begin with their first date didn't have staying power, I applaud Brooks for being honest with Des in Antigua. It showed character to go to her, knowing he was going to hurt her, and not back down simply because it was going to be heart-wrenching. Regardless of what people here think of him (and some of the comments have been harsh), the man has courage and follows a strong moral compass.
Last night, both Des and Brooks seemed to accept their fate as a couple, which took some of the sting out of what I'd hoped would be the outcome of this season. I want to believe she doesn't still love him - for Chris' sake. So, I'm just going to focus on Chris' love for her (which I don't doubt in the least) and hope that she will (if she doesn't already) love him as much as he clearly loves her. He deserves nothing less.
For a moment each seemed unreal to the other — then the slow warm hum of love began.

I am glad you came out from lurking as well! You've expressed the thoughts that so many of us have about Brooks, and his dates/relationship with Des up until the end. And wishing her and Chris well now that the show is over and everyone is moving on.Lievta wrote:sfrank wrote:Piper61 wrote:Right?! I, too, admire Brooks' courage to make his decision based upon his being true to himself, and being honest with Des before it went even further. Because of the spoilers, I truly believed he would be back because usually the spoilers are right. Usually. Now we certainly know that isn't always the case, and fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I will try to remain unspoiled for as long as I can and then not even worry about spoilers if I do. I will like who I like regardless, and that's just the way I've always been regarding this show. It's not a hop on the spoiled F1 bandwagon kind of thing.

Cecilia wrote:Aunties_Love wrote:Regarding the bolded/underlined, I think that was done on purpose. What better way to trap RS into thinking he had everything in the bag?? Not only that, but other rag mags get their info from RS and exploit it with other tidbits that they find out along the way.isittrue wrote:Cecilia wrote:agentcurls wrote:Cecilia wrote:Agentcurls - more on Brooks please! Was he more attractive in person?
All the guys were more attractive in person! WOW! And Brooks was so nervous but just ooooozing charisma at the same time. It was so quiet during their segment. Lots of sad reactions from audience members. CH really has it out for him. All to fit the the new Chris and Des love story.
Thanks! I read your summary in the ATFR thread. Anything to elaborate on?
I was expecting more than 5 minutes of Brooks last night so will take any bits I can get.
The second point I have, regarding the spoilers, is how would that show have been edited differently if there were no spoilers? I still think the most riveting hour was the breakup. So I'm not entirely convinced that the edit would be that different.
I think it may have been edited differently - they spent so much on Brooks and kind of pushed Chris and others even Des at times to a supporting player especially the prior 3 episodes. They made it all about the Brooks and Des love story/journey making the spoiler of Brooks as F1 all the more plausible IMO. Well MF got his wish, just at expense of others. Brooks probably felt like Chantal the year she was spoiled F1.
Personally, I am glad that the spoilers won`t be taken as seriously for now on as it should be the sleuthing that either can prove/disprove facts versus just going along with the spoilers at all cost; but that's just me as I love to sleuth.
auntieslove - you know you are in the "spoiled fangirl" thread, don't you?
