did anyone see GMA this morning?  it continues to be Brooks story... the gist of the conversation: good morning, what a beautiful proposal, congratulations (all the while Chris is on the left reaching across and holding Des' right hand. I suppose that's to let her show off that beautiful ring). let me ask you, how was it facing Brooks last night... after having that kind of a breakup where you had told him how much you loved him, how did you get to a point where you could accept a proposal from Chris in that short of time... if Brooks had come back would you have accepted a proposal from him... Chris, are you ok with what you saw on the show?

then the most telling of all the banter... Chris says I didn't watch any of that.  Des says something to the effect, we decided to only watch our parts.

talk about red flags? omg... he still doesn't really know how she felt about Brooks and how devastated she was. I can't wait to find the clip of this. the story is still Brooks.  all the questions were about Brooks. by the time the interview ended, Des' hands were in her lap, Chris kept looking at her funny. it was strange to say the least. next will be the Kelly and Michael show.

Like I was so confused when Michael, Brooks' best friend in the house said he thought she picked Chris after spending time with him in Miami. Just wanted to post my own thoughts -

I was really disappointed in last night's finale (not because Brooks didn't end up with Des), but because in one episode and over the course of 5 days she suddenly when from "I love you (Brooks) and I can't say that about the other guys" to "Chris is the love of my life." It really made the season ending seam like a joke to me and in my opinion, she definitely did settle and was too afraid to go home alone. I do wish her and Chris the best, but I can't say I'm a fan of Desiree anymore...

Hope Brooks does find the love of his life! He has been by far, my favorite this season.

I wanted and believed it to be Brooks not because of spoilers, or wanting to pick the winner but because I loved them together and I loved seeing Des fall in love (and I guess I fell a little in love with Brooks too:giggling: ). They've been my favourite couple to watch since Ashley and JP and got me into the show again after several season I didn't care about and overall disliked. I really hope to get to follow Brooks' life a little. I think he's awesome. Probably needs more of a hipster, intellectual type IMO.

I hope the best for Des and Chris but it is really uncomfortable. I'm having trouble loving Des as much as I usually do today. On GMA, I just felt so uncomfortable watching. Des really needs to have a media line ready on repeat because she didn't handle the questions which were mostly about Brooks in a very confident, convincing way to me. For Chris' sake, she needs to. I felt awful for Chris sitting there. I just can't take any happiness in that proposal. Wish she had just asked him to give a relationship a try and the media today could all be about starting fresh and moving slowly to build on what they started on the show. That would make sense. This engagement is just too awkward. Glad she will get to Seattle now and they can get real, fast, and see where it goes.

Anyways, back to Brooks. Glad he made the show so entertaining. Glad he was so classy last night. Hated the live ATFR because in a taped version they are given a lot more time and then edit to show a small portion of the interesting discussion. I wish they would do away with these live ones.

a little discourse with Michael Strahan and sub co-host Erin Andrews... MS just wants to know how could a person go from total devastation and crying to finding the love of her life in less than a week? looks like it may just be another Brooks-fest.

on a side note, all these interviews keep showing part of the break up, so if indeed Chris did not see any of that, he is now. my heart breaks for them both.

Cute interview but Brooks dominated...more of the same in every interview I bet. Yeah Des has got to polish up those answers sound very unsure of herself where Brooks is concerned. They look cute though.

JBF has been saying since episode 5 that the edit was showing it was Chris. I think it was so hard for me to buy into because that was not what I was seeing on the screen. What made it even harder was that as late as Chris' FD she was still leaning back away from him when they kissed. I guess the hardest thing for me is that I never thought she would settle for something that wasn't exactly what she wanted. Chris is a great guy and deserves the someone that loves him the way he loves her. He is clearly very much in love with Des, I didn't see it being nearly the same for her.

By accepting Chris' proposal, she gave Brooks the final closure that he needed. In his mind the girl that he thought he knew was going strictly with her heart. I'm sure in that moment he felt that he had made the right choice because he felt she was going to choose Chris anyway. This show was just not right for him. When he falls, he falls big and hard. and it was just impossible for him to navigate through this show and fall.

As far as the incorrect spoilers go, I think that MF has learned how to use the spoilers to his advantage. The only way they could save the season (viewer ratings, which is the only thing important to all those connected to the show) was to do what they did. They needed it to seem that Brooks would come back for the fairy tale ending, keeping everyone that saw the Brooks connection engaged. They learned from the DeAnna fiasco season, that the real story wasn't going to bring in the ratings. Then we have Chris H telling us how in love this couple is and she's moving right away and quickly on to naming the Bachelor and already hyping that season.

And finally, I am disappointed that Des didn't use this platform to set an example for the many young girls that watch this show. If she truly was feeling something for Chris, IMO she should have told him from the beginning of the FRC that she cared for him, but that after being rejected by Brooks, she needed them to take their time in the real world and find out what they truly had together rather than rushing in to anything. Then, if he was accepting of that and if their relationship truly did grow and she knew she was over Brooks, Chris could have proposed on the AFRC. The fact that she felt such pressure to end up with someone, anyone, has just left a bad taste in my mouth. She didn't do right by Chris and she didn't do right by herself. Maybe she will learn to love Chris the way she loved Brooks, who knows. But, I would say the odds are against it, more so than because it's a reality show.

I truly wonder how the rag mags are going to work with the show with all the lies the show fed them. I truly hate that the show literally told lies in the magazines to get people to keep hoping Brooks would come back.

I told people that Chris S didn't watch any of it. Ignorance is BLISS.
