I think the producers got to him and he felt guilty as hell after that "goodbye". At FRC, he sang a different tune. He didn't stick to his guns but I think he felt well maybe I do love her... at least I should and in the end that's where he screwed up. But you live and learn. Hopefully Dez learned alot on this journey. I so hope so. As I said on another thread.... with Nate who keeps insisting that RS is wrong... I don't think he proposed but he is left standing as F1 and with that he can say RS got the spoiler wrong.

No, he said RS is wrong about who wins, so it's not just about the proposal.

I haven't followed all of Nate's tweets. I haven't seen one that wasn't referring to a F1 and engaged. It's deceiving but I'm reading between the lines with Nate. I have to if Brooks is F1 cause I wouldn't think a missionary would out and out tell a complete lie.

Already taller than his dad at 15. Isn't he around 6'4" now? Still has that great smile we see now. I wish I knew what Des meant about her feelings being confirmed about Chris when she went to his home to meet his family. In Bachelorette world, that could mean anything...Come on, Monday, put us out of our suspense!

CH would 100% say those things about Brooks BECAUSE he most likely is F1. Go back and read his comments about Des vs Catherine in Sean's season. I was a big Cat fan and was appalled. Whereas he was calling Des America's sweetheart and Sean was letting go the love of his life.

Now Chris S is getting CH's loving. Perfect! I can't remember interview but CH said they acted like husband and wife together (Des &Chris). Reading CH's gushing praise of Chris has me convinced that Chris is NOT F1 but next Bachelor. CH is not so giddy about Drew. And poor Brooks is of no use to TPTB as F1 so no kind words from CH.

I don't think Chris is F1 ... too many reliable long time spoilers are calling Brooks F1. The truth always always comes out the week prior to finale. Always.

So everything CH says or writes now in blog is to build suspense/ratings for finale and to shine light brightly on next Bachelor. Period.

I know my fellow Chrisvillers will be furious if Des lets him propose but just remember his smiling gorgeous face now and please do not turn on him when he is Bachelor and has to break his F2-F8 hearts. I am bigger fan of Chris than Des. While i like them together, I think of Sean's season. He and Catherine are so darn adorable together and she is far better match than Emily. Des told us herself that she really didn't give other guys a chance. Why would we want that outcome for Chris?

After Monday, I bet she's is going to hear it,she should have let them go after Portugal. Chris is the only one she keeps..until someone showed up... And he has to leave in when he's wearing that nice suite...weird

I've been watching Prince Siegfried at work on the season videos thus far. As the story is being told, I'm more convinced than ever he's the right fit for Des.

That's how I see it too. I'm having a lot more respect for Ali about now. I think she is a stronger person than Des and stood up TPTB about letting Chris L. go early. Des is going to be disliked for keeping Chris after everything, only to reject him.

I still can't figure out why Nate lied in a DM though.

Chris is definitely the best match her for.. If she is tellin the truth about what she needs and wants then he is the guy for that, but I have said it all along that I think des is too immature to know what she needs. I don't think chris deserves second place to anyone, therefore I really wouldn't mind seeing him as the bachelor! I truly believe he could handle it and remain sincere and true to himself. The thing making me believe the spoilers is we pretty much agree brooks returns ( at least I do) so if chris is f1 then why not show is a preview that he does? If she doesn't choose brooks yet the spoilers confirm she does then it wouldn't matter if we knew he returned!

I didn't read Chris h's blogs last bachelor season....what did he say about Catherine and Sean? did he say he didn't think Sean was that into Catherine or vice versa?? or did he say he didn't think Catherine and Sean would work out? If he did say anything even remotely negative I could see why he would do that and that would be maybe to create some doubt and suspense cuz that season it was pretty much confirmed it was Catherine he picked and there was no drama surrounding it. And I don't think his blogs this time are to create doubt for the spoilers that Brooks is F1....I think his blogs are to do damage control for Des saying she was in love with Brooks...or maybe to clarify the whole break up situation because at times Brooks was having hard time saying what he was trying to say...which I think was because he wanted to break up with her but didn't want to look like a dog. And  i have a feeling if I read what Chris H wrote it about Sean and Catherine it wouldn't be anything shocking to me. Actually thinking back now maybe I did read the blog and it didn't make me think Sean didn't pick Catherine.

I still stand by what I said about Chris h's blog giving clues that she is not with Brooks. I'll be surprised if she is. I could be wrong though...I usually believe the spoilers but this time I am having a really hard time believing them.

Grace, Brit- what is wonderful about Chris is he is a great match for loads of women. He seems to be exactly the type of guy women want to marry. We will be superfans for his Bachelor season and have a blast nitpicking over his ladies. I will again stay unspoiled for at least first four episodes so I can watch more objectively.

Tres- as the saying goes ... Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.. CH works for Fleiss/ABC. He is spinning a carefully crafted message and will make nice with Brooks in post season interviews. ABC must battle the spoilers so max viewers tune in.


CH did not say those things about Cat cuz much different scenario. He essentially called her (and I can't remember exact words) immature, not ready for marriage and I am pretty sure he once said "strange." He lumped Lindsay & Cat as fairly interchangeable while promoting Des as Sean's perfect match. Only after season ended did CH say that Sean lit up like kid in candyshop whenever Cat was around which is why she was hidden for half the season.
