Chris Siegfried -Bachelorette Contestant - Spoilers - Discussion

Dramatic yes but I don't see that happening. I think that she picks who is going home before she even has her dates with them. She pulled way back on her date with Zak at HTDs and she also pulled way back with Drew on the FSD. She just was not that into him ... at all. Yes, they kissed a lot but Drew initiated it and was never believable to me. No passion and closed mouth. Yes ... earlier in season she had some hot kisses with Drew but I did NOT see those type of kisses during the FSD. The hosts doing recap on AfterBuzz said the same thing. Her demeanor with Chris was far different and he's really the only contender left now that Brooks is gone ... or, is he?

So ... if anyone has a chance of being her F1 other than Brooks ... it is most definitely Chris. But ... as I said over and over ... she needs to really convince a lot of folks (herself included) that she can transition (in very short order) from sobbing over Brooks to being proposal-ready for Chris.

IF ... big IF ... spoilers are wrong ... and Des is engaged to Chris ... I can only see this happening if

1) Des gets rid of Drew early on in the episode; like almost immediately
2) TPTB gives Des a time out/few days to recollect her thoughts away from cameras.
3) Her producer/handler give her all her raw footage of her time with Chris and all his poems written for her.
4) TPTB let her talk to her REAL best friends and/or family over how she once again fell in love with a guy incapable of loving her back/communicating; they then introduce those friends to the wonderfully charming gentleman Chris. Friends/family love him instantly!
5) Des & Chris spend a couple days together on Antiqua re-building after she shared her heartbreak over Brooks
6) Des talks/spends time with Brooks for closure and realizes she was totally mistaken. They have one last hug and she realizes it's CHris' arms she wants around her.
7) The finale taped in May ends with Des and Chris planning to date in real world.
8) At live ATFR we learn that Chris and Des dated outside of bubble and are madly in love/engaged.

Not too much to ask, is it??

What have we heard repeatedly from Des? She loves being in Chris' arms.

Keeping hope alive - it is now 4:55 p.m. CST. And yes, I fed my hubby supper and he's gone to work for the night. Teenaged kids have their own TV's, computer, X-Box, I-pod Touch, I-pad, I-phone so...Mama gets the big TV in the living room to herself. Can you tell we are all into Electronics? Our son bought some of his own stuff with job and grad money - we don't spoil them that much.

Hubby has been teasing me relentlessly about this and knows the final Finale is tonight. I'm sure he expects to hear all about it. Wants to? No. Expects to? Yes.

Maybe but keep in mind that TPTB frequently show us scenes in previews but those scenes never appear in the actual show.

I KNOW that Chris will make us so very proud tonight. He's going to soar and win over America. But, I am watching this episode believing the spoiler 100 percent and then literally praying/holding breath that they name Chris as Bachelor 2014 at ATFR.

OK... where to begin? I am going to get wild and abstract here... *chuckle chuckle*

"As it Peers" may have initially been about "peers" when Chris wrote it, but it ALSO reads "as it appears"...

...and things do not appear as they seem.

In its original meaning, "peers" are quite often people you seek acceptance and approval from. You may even wear a mask, not be who you genuinely are and not "let your hair down" (key song lyrics we heard once) on account of your need for approval.

With just four lines taken out of the poem, we can see "it" potentially being The Spoilers: Brooks and Des "engaged"... and the spoilers "stand alone" by themselves because The Edit, Des' body language in interviews, Chris Harrison blogs, repeating Matt White music all point to Chris as Desiree's F1. (Reality Steve's big boo-boo in Brad's season is that he was told Brad and Chantal were engaged but he never bothered to ask "with whom?" since Chantal re-hooked with her old boyfriend post-show. "It" may also be some sort of "smokescreen" hiding something else that we are not supposed to see unveiled yet. In fact... probably MULTIPLE things we are not supposed to know about YET involving Desiree, Chris, Brooks, Drew and potentially anybody else who could "boomerang" back to the show... if we have any of THAT happening again.

"One does not expect the outcome that happened"... the past tense use of "happened" means it is a done deal. Yet "one" (probably implying us, the general viewers) is not expecting it since no previous Bachelor/ette season had this happen.

However "it" (the spoilers?) controls ALMOST nothing and leaves it to fate. Maybe SOME of what we will see tonight will be accepted by "All Of America" or some of it may not? This season will still be "full of surprises" (per Des on Jimmy Kimmel). I just hope everybody here has an open mind about everything and won't be judgmental regardless of the out-come. Bad enough that this forum will temporarily shut-down on account of traffic overflow anyway.

Now... what happens with Brooks, Drew and others can all be speculated, but what happens to Chris is spelled out in the three replays of Matt White's song. Of course, "You and I against the world" applies to ANY couple... and the world may not always be accepting to all couples. In addition, the world is a crazy place itself, full of the unexpected.

This line was emphasized in Munich: "All our friends are gettin' married and they're happy and they're sappy even though they might be feeling so old"... followed shortly later by her "he's everything I could want in a husband".

Also add the bridal white used over The Bachelorette opening credits. I understand that she is into bridal design, but why change the opening title cards?

Thanks! I am new to this show. This is my first time watching it! I was just flipping through channels and I saw Chris and Des. She was reciting a poem to him. I got really intrigued by him, so I kept watching. For some reason, I wanted to see what will happen to him because he became my favorite instantly! I had to start from the first episode and I just finished the first part of the finale. Even though I have no idea what this show is about at times, I just find myself watching or paying attention only when Chris is onscreen I don't really care too much about the others. Anyway, whatever happens, I hope he is happy as well. He is so unique and refreshing to see. I will be bummed out if he wont be the next bachelor. I want him to find his real love. Hmmm he deserves better than Des. I'm sure there will be plenty of girls who will be interested to sign up if he is the next bachelor

 I am so glad you joined us here and am looking forward to more of your posts.  Chris was my favorite from the time I first saw and heard of him, especially be a more less hometown boy.  He went to Jesuit High School which is near where I live and also University of Portland.  He has always been a gentleman all through this silly show and I agree that he deserves better than Des.  But if that is what he wants and she chooses him he will be supported on this board.  I would rather see him as the bachelor but he did say in one episode where James was getting the what to for that he was not there to be the bachelor ever.  Of course he could always change his mind if things don't work out with Des and if he does and is chosen to be bachelor there is no one else from this season I would rather watch for two hours every Monday night for a couple of months. :Drool:  I just want to see his happy face and that is what we have been seeing in all his recent pictures so I hope he is in a happy place right now.   

Wow, that's great to hear! I agree as long as he is happy. I will support his decision coz that's what matters in the end. It just bothers me to know that there's a chance he will get hurt from her. He deserves the best kind of love! He is a good role model in this somewhat complicated world. His character and his persona is genuine and should be treated as a rare gem! Any girl who will end up with him is very lucky

You think like the rest of us on this thread so you are in the right place. Yes I don't think I have ever seen anyone on this franchise before that was more genuine that Chris and he deserves the absolute best IMO. We all want the best for Chris and only for his happiness.
