Thanks! I am new to this show. This is my first time watching it! I was just flipping through channels and I saw Chris and Des. She was reciting a poem to him. I got really intrigued by him, so I kept watching. For some reason, I wanted to see what will happen to him because he became my favorite instantly! I had to start from the first episode and I just finished the first part of the finale. Even though I have no idea what this show is about at times, I just find myself watching or paying attention only when Chris is onscreen I don't really care too much about the others. Anyway, whatever happens, I hope he is happy as well. He is so unique and refreshing to see. I will be bummed out if he wont be the next bachelor. I want him to find his real love. Hmmm he deserves better than Des. I'm sure there will be plenty of girls who will be interested to sign up if he is the next bachelor

Keep in mind that IF they are together (and I am not necessarily hoping they are) they have had 3 months to sort through her feeling on this whole mess. I have nothing against any of the F3; I use F3 because I think Brooks does return in some capacity.  Either he has a change of heart or to see if she is OK.  A couple of things keep going through my mind; one why would Brooks say in the limo something to the effect of hoping she found love with Drew or Chris?  That strikes me as odd; if he was conflicted about his feelings, why hope she found love with someone else?  To me, it seemed like he was looking for the easy out and truly cares for Des as a friend but not as a lifetime partner.  I admire him for what he did though by being honest with her.

The producers/Chris H. say it is a weird ending that almost doesn't make sense and one that comes out of left field.  

I think Drew is not F1; I think he is a sweet guy, family oriented and will make a great husband and father.  His downfall is he is not spontaneous enough for Des in my opinion.  

I believe it comes down to Brooks versus Chris.  I think there are a couple of options; Brooks coming back to say he has a change of heart or if it is more of can she let go of what her feelings were for Brooks if he does not return?  In my opinion, the predictable ending is Brooks coming back saying he has a change of heart and does love her.  He proposes and Des says yes.  This would be weird given what he had said to her a few days earlier.  But does it come out of left field?  Not so much in my opinion because I think that is what a lot of people are predicting.

A weird ending for me would be Brooks coming back, professing his love, proposing and Des saying no and accepting a proposal from Chris.  

I believe Chris is F1; I think their relationship is a lot stronger than what is shown (Chris H. said in an interview that she has said she loves Chris).  I believe they have only shown her saying she is falling for Chris.  I think her comment about not being able to love Drew or Chris the way she loves Brooks was said in the heat of the moment and can be easily remedied by saying she loves her F1 more than Brooks after realizing what she almost lost by focusing her heart only on Brooks.  In a sense, love has been redefined for her.  

I think the weird ending that makes almost no sense is her turning down a proposal from Brooks and the "coming out of left field" is a reference to Chris given his baseball background.  Why would she being having a meltdown a few days earlier and then accepting a proposal from another guy?  It almost makes no sense except I think, with what Brooks did to her, she loves Chris and realizes he has been a calm source of strength for her throughout the journey.  He has been a rock, they connect physically and emotionally and they love each other.  I think the picture of him in the limo is one of nervousness because he doesn't know if she'll accept a proposal or not.  I think it is of him on his way to the FRC not on his way back from the FRC.

Personally, I would not take Brooks back but that choice is up to Des.  If they are engaged, I wish them all the best.   Regardless of how this all plays out, I can't wait for Monday to get here!  And the After the Final Rose should be really interesting.  Chris H. says he has questions for Des based on how it unfolded.  Maybe "How can you accept a proposal from another man when you clearly stated your heart was taken by Brooks."

Me too, except something major happened at that RC, still think she handed out the roses

She tells us in voiceovers and PI's (in a dress different than what she wears in the show that we've seen) that the Hometown Date solidified her feelings for Chris (an example of a normal day with him - she liked and was thrilled by his quirky family, saying a lot of positive things about how they were with him and her - though producers gave us mixed signals - showing her reacting to the quirkiness like "say what????", but then playing the Trista/Ryan music). Another thread here says that a reputable site that lists cast members for TV episodes does not include Brooks' name on the episode, just at the ATFR. Shadow dancing with Chris, ladies - and JBF and any males on the thread. Shadow dancing. All over the promos...

One song played 3 times for them. The Trista/Ryan music at Hometowns - conversation with his mom, then at their kiss good-bye.

One more thing I noticed. Doesn't the lead usually let the contestant go whose parents say they don't want him to get hurt? But there was that Trista/Ryan music during that conversation. Girlfriend - at that time - had no intention of letting Chris go.

At last glance and per her own words, she is now sure of a happy future with him. Does she pick Chris as F1 tonight or accept his proposal (despite the spoilers)? We won't know that for sure until tonight. Chris H. teases all will be explained (something to do with Hometowns) and Millsy says the action starts in moment 1. Counting down. It's 11:15 a.m. CST here in southeast Texas...
