Wow, when it is all spelled out so clearly just what these contracts actually have that these people agree to when they sign on the dotted line, it really makes your head spin. They all agree to be EXPLOITED, embarrased, and and to have their character misrepresented, among other things.
And seeing that contract really makes what CH said (in the above interview) that much more laughable. He uses words like "real and organic" "up to free will" etc. etc. when describing how "real" everything was that they showed us last Monday night.
The company man speaketh with a forked tongue. It sounds like the contestants aren't the only ones who made a deal with the devil.

And this is why so many continue to be skeptics and snark on the show.
When you need to have a diagnostic medical procedure or surgery and you sign a release form, you don't get the amount and length of detail for all the potential "god forbids". And that was just 2 clauses.
I guess we should all be lucky MF went into film and not medicine.

Chris Harrison has been in the entertainment business for a longgg time... long before the bachelor series. most everyone had no idea who he was prior to the franchise. of course he made a deal with the devil, and he knows where his bread is buttered and where it's not. he will say anything and everything he is asked to say, and those things that he is questioned about, he conveniently has forgotten. it's too bad he let his wife go, he was much more human when he was married to her, i've noticed a big change in him in the past couple of years. I wonder if she was his conscience or something.

Good posts! I, too, was amazed at what's in the contract. As for CH, I really feel he did cross a line with his recent blog. But I chalk it up most to the show, and less about his true inner feelings about Brooks, and his and Des' relationship.latergator wrote:Longhornfan wrote:Wow, when it is all spelled out so clearly just what these contracts actually have that these people agree to when they sign on the dotted line, it really makes your head spin. The Bachelorette: Become Fluent in the Desiree-Brooks Saga With 15 Wacky Screengrabs
Here’s a dilemma for quality TV lovers with active social schedules: You’d rather brush your teeth with steel wool than spend two hours of your life watching The Bachelorette. Nevertheless, with ABC billing the show’s latest two-part finale (Part 1 aired last Monday; Part 2 airs this Monday, 8/7c) as “the television event of the summer,” chances are you’ll be hearing the names “Desiree” and “Brooks” and possibly even “Drew” at brunches and dinner parties and play dates this weekend. (How awful!)
Fret not: You want some rudimentary Bachelorette literacy? TVLine has your back. We watched Part 1 in all its tear-soaked, fantasy-suite-smooching glory shame, and we’ve boiled the action down to 15 key screengrabs that will help you understand the entire sordid story of heartbreak, betrayal and truly terrible hair.
So click through the gallery below for the full scoop, then come back next Tuesday (if you’re masochistic enough to want to know how the whole “fairytale” concludes).

This is hilarious. The best part is the pics & commentary. Yet another piece that ignores Chris in the write up (not the pics though).
