You said it before I had a chance. But I will just chime in and agree!  I didn't get the adjectives and verbs and the talk about the emotional process. As Ariel said so well, too much cerebral talk, rather than just from the heart and feelings about love.  I believe when you know, you know. It's not complicated, it's not analytical, it's not difficult. When you find love it is the most powerful emotion human beings experience.  It's even hard to describe it in words. It's not about being intellectual. It's about passion and closeness and intensity and intimacy and a sharing.  This is what I am not seeing with Brooks and Des.  I do believe that Des has real feelings for Brooks. I just don't see the same from him.  

Native, love your love description... "passion and closeness and intensity and intimacy and a sharing"... I would add vulnerability.   And that's what I see Drew, in particular, is offering that may have Des backing off in fear... I mean that vulnerability piece is very scary.  And I said it earlier, chasing Brooks would prevent Des from being able to be vulnerable.  Vulnerability only comes with deep trust... and I mean, how can you trust someone that hasn't yet committed?

I get the feeling that I knew you in another life! Thanks for adding vulnerability. I actually thought that I put that in there, but reading it back I realized that I left it out.  You are correct that Drew is offering Des vulnerability. For a guy who doesn't let people in that easily, he has now just put it all out on the line.  However, you make a good point in saying that this very vulnerability could be what scares Des.  Maybe that's why she likes to be the one doing the chasing.  

Your last sentence should be cut and pasted somewhere special so I will always remember it.  Beautifully said!  It gave me the chills.  

OMG!!  I think that you both have summed it up in a nutshell.  I know from first hand experience that you can only let yourself become vunerable if you feel like you can completely TRUST the other person.  And it is terribly scary for someone like me.  By putting your trust in that other person, you can then LET GO and let things happen naturally.  

Also, this would help to explain why Des is probably more comfortable doing the chasing, than she is with being the one chased.  "Letting go" is losing control of the situation, whereas you at least can maintain the control - if YOU are doing the chasing.

Right on, sister Longhorn... I've been there too!  Drew is such a catch - vulnerable, emotional, communicative, sweet.  I think Des is starting to 'let him in'.... we'll see if she can put her trust in him, as you've said and let go... now THAT would be a love story I could get behind!!

Do we know anything about Des last boyfriend? The one that she was with the longest? It wouldn't surprise me if she picked Drew and in ways I think she would be a lot better off if she did. Some woman will be really lucky to get him. Not only to have him to look at, but to receive the type of love he's offering. I hope he is the next Bach if he isn't picked this time. I'd love to watch him as the lead..I find him adorable and I fell in love with his family. : )

Ha entirely different twist for me after going to Drew's dad fb page. The dad is damn good looking---nuff said.

Did you all hear what she said when leaving Drew ? I could barely hear. But one thing I definitely heard was when he said I love you for the second time and kissed her, then said thank you she said thank you back.
There was another thing she whispered but I couldn't hear.

I know the moment you are talking about. This is when I wish that I had not deleted my recording!  

Someone please tell me that this scene is not seriously intense body language and intimacy! Yet Des doesn't say anything in her blogs about Drew and also doesn't say anything about feelings for Drew to CH!  Am I going crazy? That is distinctly possible!       

This is exactly why I'm having a hard time believing Drew is F1...not only is she not saying anything to Chris or in her blogs about how she feels, but they aren't even attributing VOs or PIs to Drew about her talking about her feelings for him. Its just him narrating his own journey.

And to go back to her conversations with Chris H, here's what she says about Drew when they chat about her relationships...we have very clear declarations regarding Brooks and Chris.

Even if we assume that Brooks is gone at F3, her feelings for Drew would need to leapfrog over hers for Chris and given what she has been saying I just don't see it. Her comments about Drew are very nice but lack substance about her feelings. Compare that with what she is saying on camera about Brooks and Chris and there is no comparison. Don't see how she does a complete 360 in Antigua. You also can't ignore the beach shots of her crying next to Drew and him looking a little shellshocked.

Germany - No mention of Drew at all.

Portugal - "Drew is the best looking guy I have ever met but what's so great about him is that he is so sincere in everything he does and you can just see through his eyes how kind he is. (CH: is he husband material) Oh yeah (CH: But he is husband material for you?) That's what I am finding out I really have to discerne my feelings each day to see how I feel about each guy

HTD - "Drew did tells me he loves me. He said it boldly and wasn't hiding it. It was really bold. I can definitely see a potential there"[/i]

And that is why Des' choosing Drew for F1 will seem like it came from out of left field.

There's the unexpected F1 (or hidden) and then there's invisible because its not there. Go back and look at Sean/Cat or Trista/Ryan who were two of the most hidden F1s in the history the show and you will see what I mean. They usually give people a little morsel of something from lead on how they are feeling and they haven't consistently all season long. I have heard more about Drew's "kind eyes" from Des than I have heard even a simple "I really like Drew" from her. I don't see that happening. I  think its Brooks but would see Chris as F1 before Drew, unfortunately. Sorry.

If the viewers got any hint at all, then it wouldn't come from out of left field.  For those that focused on Des and Drew's relationship, it wouldn't be a surprise.  I really do think that tptb wanted viewers to focus on Brooks and Chris, but not Drew so that the ending would appear to be out of left field. :Smiley:

That is why we need more SCs to lead the story. They have given us enough to send the board into a frenzy and unable to pinpoint even the dates the guys get.
For those who notice stuff on monday after the MTA please post. It maybe a while before SCs are actually available.
Possibly 1 or 2 SCs will confirm if Drew is in fact let go prior to the FRC or if Brooks makes a return at the end. Till that time it is just speculation and fantasy combined for both scenarios. We need to know.

Gosh I can already picture the ATFR and the incessant questioning of CH. There are times he makes the loosing guys so uncomfortable - yikes. Its like they are under a microscope.

I hope that Drew and Chris don't succumb to the producers brand of manipulation and come out of that episode with their heads held high. It will be tough but if they prepare sufficiently they should do a good enough job of not falling for that brand of questioning and not break down on national TV.  

I remember Molly promised her dad that she wouldn't cry in the limo and she didn't.

If any family and friends are reading this - tell the guys to watch previous shows and how the line of questioning can trip them up into saying stuff that they don't intend to.:Smiley:

I truly hope that whatever awaits both Drew and Chris on the crazy ride that is this show, that they are able to handle it with grace, dignity and poise. They have both conducted themselves so well. I hope that they can get through whatever is thrown at them and hold their heads high!

What makes you say that? Zack didn't post it on his twitter/instagram accts. It's possible it was in CA but it does look like Antigua. Could be one a producer took. Doesn't have to mean he's the f1. I've seen Arie pics that were taken after Emily let him go.
