Because Drew is out of the mix from the looks of things, I think I'm rooting for Chris. I believe all 3 are nice guys but he hung in there the whole time. Another thing in his favor is that they're doing water dates for all 3 of his final dates. Maybe nothing but it makes me wonder.

as Chris promised to Des in Munich, he will be there till the end  . and Des said after Bryden`s left : she needs to get back to Chris so she can feel happy again.
Mark my word. that was a foreshadowing of what will happen at the finale. Just replaced Bryden with Brooks.
I cant help but fall for the well-rounded guy who plays role as the solid-rock for the lead, ala JP. I found it extremely sexy!!.... 
As for `watery`dates, simple. I got the answer from a buddy thru PM. It speaks volume of Des`s level of comfort with Chris. She only wanted to be seen and having activities while half-naked with the one and only her Prince Charming. :giggle:

Awe Albean? What's happened that u think drew is out! I apologize, I've only had time to peak in chris thread today.

I think chris is going to come out spotless from this all either if he is f1 or not! He has been steady and true to himself the entire time so I guess I'm not to worried about it... I just dread the backlash for the couple who comes out of this craziness!!!! Chris has great fans and I enjoy catching up when I can.

No, never thought any of your posts about a season were ever quirky or out there; they've always caused me to pause and think about what was making me see the season differently, which is always good to do.  :Smiley: 

Until 2 weeks ago, I was watching the season unspoiled so I stayed away from the board.  It's been obvious from week 3 that the season was going to come down to Brooks & Chris.  It sure will be interesting to see which one of these guys is the last man standing...

gee albean... based on your description here (he hung in there the whole time.  water dates for all 3 of his final dates) he sounds like a description my golden retriever (bless her soul).  stay boy, let me dangle this biscuit in front of your nose and in the end you get to win cause you endured the longest?  

in my opinion, Chris is a great guy, worthy of love and devotion from any woman.  he should not get it cause he stayed the longest... or barked the loudest (humor here, I couldn't resist).  this goes back to default if that is the case, and we have been assured by Des in recent interviews she will not pick default.  she will go with her heart.  now if what most people are imagining happens, that Brooks takes himself out completely, and Des had several weeks of getting to know Chris more, perhaps she would change her feelings (personally I don't think so), but until now she has said that she loves Brooks more than once to the camera, her mouth has moved and the words came out... not the proverbial "I'm falling for Brooks, or he would make good husband material, etc.)

i believe she was done-deal with Chris after her solo, fairy tale, date on Ep.5, cue: her poem. Therefore, they have enough time to plan all of the draaamatic twist and turn in Antigua in order to make the good rating for the 2 parts of the finale. It was him all the way till the end. She mentioned 3 descriptions ONLY for Chris : feels like known him for years/a while and she can be herself plus feels comfortable.
I dont put too much stock on the sit down with CH, btw, as ive seen Ash did the same about Bentley. To each his own.

I, too, think Chris seems like a great guy and wish him the best.

Based on his edit:

1) being oversold by CH & TPTB
2) lots of screen time, especially in previews
3) his overconfidence in his relationship w/Des

....makes me believe he is not F1. F1s usually express more doubt, or are edited that way.

All the magazines are selling Drew and Brooks. Not much mention of Chris, like he's not even a contender.

His confidence in the VO in the helicopter is a concern.

On your next post you said she is overcome by emotion in the red dress, but not in a good way. If it follows the VO from episode 1 about "I want him down on one knee.. it's in a good way.

When is there time for Brooks to swoop back in after that May 5th date with Chris? I can't believe he has already been back and she has that great date with Chris and it's hard to buy that he shows back up on the 6th and things work out in one day.

True, the only problem is we have no idea what Brooks FD (or LCD) would have been - Des is wearing a bikini under her shirt when she goes to meet him for their FD

The picture of him poolside made me feel good because he did look so happy and healthy in it - no matter whether it was a safehouse picture or Chris somewhere else - he looked like he was having fun!  That's the only think important to me.

Grace I have also noticed the absence of Chris in all the recent magazine covers/articles.  To me it is a deliberate ploy to make it look like he is out of the picture.  Even on TVGrapevine when they show the three remaining guys pictures they are showing Brooks first, then Drew and Chris last like he is F3.  I'm not sure but it almost seems like they are trying to dupe the audience as too Chris' standing in the finale.  I only hope that I am right about this.

Each season of the Ette there is always one image that solidifies F1 for me and its usually body language.  For Jillian, it was looking up at Ed (when he came back) in her hotel room. For Ali, it was on the helicopter (FD) with Roberto.  For Ash, again, on the helicopter with JP (FD).  For Em, on the library floor with Jef.  
For Des....I haven't seen "it" yet (of course we haven't seen FD).  Her face against Chris' open shirt when they were dancing was close to what I'm trying to describe.  She's had a few content sighs/gazes with Brooks (they were closer to "it" on the first date than of late).  I haven't seen the look yet with Drew, but other parts of her body sure have been "interested".     

Any thoughts?

ive said it before...just bring a lot of tissue box at the finale on here, either for sad tears..or...happy tears..

the smooching and hands holding on the heli preview is very telling to me. She only kisses cheek only for Chris, as far as i can recall. she did the cheek-kiss on the heli as well. I am hoping we get to see more of her BL on next epis. oh yeah..i also convinced many of Chres intimate interactions were left on editing floor for whatever reasons

I, too, believe that Chris was the one Des chose.  Despite what CH was able to pull out of her re: Brooks, I think Brooks' leaving opens her eyes and helps her realize who was in front of her all along, the guy who wouldn't break her heart (and her FD preview says she wants a guy she can trust her heart with) and the guy who would love her forever.  
This is going to come as a surprise to Jack Benny Fan but we actually agree this season.     I only started reading this season's posts recently but each post JBF has made in the last week, I've nodded my head and said, right on, ITA!   
There have been so many little things that Des has said and done during the episodes that show me she wasn't *as* into Brooks as the edit makes us believe and pushes me towards Chris.  From the get-go it's always been Brooks vs Chris (and I love that they get along so well!).  I think she is at the point in her life and, thanks to her previous boyfriend, knows exactly what she doesn't want to happen in her life, a guy who doesn't speak his feelings and makes her chase him.  She started off the season, knowing what she wants (Brooks), but ended the season with what she needs (Chris).
TPTB have shaken Des to the core with the guys who have left and who have not been there 'for the right reasons' ((puke)) so much that I think she gathers herself together and keeps herself strong.  I think when Brooks leaves, that's the final straw and helps her to realize who was there all along.  
It's funny b/c during Jillian's season I was convinced she chose Ed, following the whole "Twilight" storyline of sticking with the guy you loved who broke your heart and then came back.  This season, though, I believe Des stayed strong to herself and realized who was going to love her and not break her heart...and after some roadblocks, ultimately chose him for F1.
