Chris is not going to be the Bachelor, folks. He said so on camera back in episode #6.

Of course, some of us renegades (Ali F. and myself included) think he will be "off the market" anyway.

yeah, kinda like Chris L was on Ali's season?  he is one Chris that certainly came out whole on the other side

and all the edits, sc, music, vo, pi's... everything all pointed to ChrisL being f1... but sadly the spoilers were right after all.  I am so happy for ChrisL with his love life, he definitely came out ahead without Ali, and I'm sure Chris will be a-okay without Des if the spoilers are again correct.

i have no problem with the spoilers at all, correct or incorrect.I believe what i see on the show. One thing that stood out to me, Ali never said he wanted a husband, anyway. And he kept saying Chris L is a great husband material. You know what, she is absolutely right..he is!!...to Peyton...  . Des has said Chris is the Blend of everything she was looking for. She felt like he has known him for a while/years..and..she can be herself when she is with Chris. These 2 descriptions were NEVER mentioned to any other guys. and she mentioned clearly to Chris`s mom that Chris has all the qualities and lasting qualities she was looking for in a husband and father of MY children. Soo...what do i know?...all of i know, she is planning her dream wedding nowadays...and she looks darn happy in these days!...OTOH Chris as well, with that huge big grin of his, in all of his recent pics. All is good in Chrisville, i guess :cutesmile!:

I, too, believe that Chris was the one Des chose.  Despite what CH was able to pull out of her re: Brooks, I think Brooks' leaving opens her eyes and helps her realize who was in front of her all along, the guy who wouldn't break her heart (and her FD preview says she wants a guy she can trust her heart with) and the guy who would love her forever.  

This is going to come as a surprise to Jack Benny Fan but we actually agree this season.     I only started reading this season's posts recently but each post JBF has made in the last week, I've nodded my head and said, right on, ITA!   

There have been so many little things that Des has said and done during the episodes that show me she wasn't *as* into Brooks as the edit makes us believe and pushes me towards Chris.  From the get-go it's always been Brooks vs Chris (and I love that they get along so well!).  I think she is at the point in her life and, thanks to her previous boyfriend, knows exactly what she doesn't want to happen in her life, a guy who doesn't speak his feelings and makes her chase him.  She started off the season, knowing what she wants (Brooks), but ended the season with what she needs (Chris).

TPTB have shaken Des to the core with the guys who have left and who have not been there 'for the right reasons' ((puke)) so much that I think she gathers herself together and keeps herself strong.  I think when Brooks leaves, that's the final straw and helps her to realize who was there all along.  

It's funny b/c during Jillian's season I was convinced she chose Ed, following the whole "Twilight" storyline of sticking with the guy you loved who broke your heart and then came back.  This season, though, I believe Des stayed strong to herself and realized who was going to love her and not break her heart...and after some roadblocks, ultimately chose him for F1.
