No, I'm not in the wrong thread. Des has admitted she would have said yes if Sean proposed. This is a deleted scene from their HTD. Listen to the wording in the poem, my friends who also think Chris is the best one for Des. "grant us our fate" - very similar wording as when she wrote hers to Chris. I would bring that video over here if I could find it. And I know somewhere there is the wording of the poem - I couldn't find that either. I think the difference here is that she trusts Chris enough (already knows he knows about and shares her interest in poetry so he won't think it is cheesy) to express her feelings this way - again. I think it is telling that, although so hurt from being so vulnerable in the recent past, she tries it again. No matter what happens, at this point she is opening herself up to our Chris - in a way she hasn't with the others (that we've been shown). I've said it before and I'll say it again. She has given him gifts (that he has reciprocated) He's now held nothing back from her - his heart has been offered. Her list with Brooks (that some call a gift - but I beg to differ) is to encourage a relationship she feels she wants deepened, to make him remember the past connections that were so strong.

I just thought this was so interesting - the comparison between wording in a poem to Sean who she clearly wanted at the end - and of that to our Chris.

OK... "And the rose to one day grant us our fate" is different than "the path of God's will to grant us our fate"

That's fair but I would point to Des' own words on camera to CH (not VO or PIs).... Even after Chris' first poem in AC and their first 1 on 1 date in Germany that very same week she would still choose to kiss Brooks whom she had a 1 on 1 date 4 weeks prior over anyone else. And even after the second 1 on 1 date with Chris, two poems, and an ILY she is still "in love with Brooks", and even after the giving him the sketch book of their moments she "still hopes for a proposal from Brooks". So....:halo:

It sounded as if she wanted a proposal by "somebody" and Brooks also there to keep her company in the finale. Or she wanted a proposal with "somebody" and another proposal with Brooks too. One thing we can say for certain: she is banking on Brooks more than Drew to be in the top two.

This isn't the first Wonky Season. Ashley kept chirping about Bentley with Chris Harrison while "getting wet" in Phuket with JP and Ali droolingly said she and Frank were "adding to the history" in Istanbul. Jillian kept "getting lost" in Kiptyn... Kyptonite! In Emily's season, all three finalists (Jef, Arie and Sean) in addition to Tony, all got the Ryan/Trista guitar rift. I don't think Emily could ever make up her mind what she wanted. Must have had a blonde moment.

Going the pro-Brooks route, however, you can easily add the fact that the Sean scene is a rarely seen outtake on Warner's site.

This can go either way:
1.) her interest in poetry is a non-issue in her decision process (pro-Brooks) and therefore that scene is unimportant
2.) it is something Fleiss doesn't want to be made too obvious (pro-Chris) and that is why we never hear poetry discussed outside Chris' dates and in the back of Zak's journal at MTA.

I am forced to go back to that EXTRA video above where she admits to being "in love" with more than one person. "In love" can be "in the moment" (for the show) or "I'm his forever"... and the next debate will be which guy, Brooks or Chris, gets which kind of "in love".

actually she WASNT saying FROM BROOKS literally....see JBF`s post above.
i dont put too much stock with the in love mantra in this silly show. Ash said she was in love with Bentley (veg once posted this point clearly) and wanna move to Utah for him....:shocked!: . Des said having physical attraction only with Chris. plus, she said she can be herself, and comfortable in all of her dates with Chris, including SQT on Ep.3. thats more than enough for me. Her saying she was falling in love in Chris and that she was not sure about Brooks after her HTD with Chris is just a bonus for me...:halo:  :bigsmile:

I thought that part was sliced together IMO! It sounds weird and doesn't make sense.

Chris and des keep talking about that time on top of the hotel roof when they were sitting on the edge! I think more happened there than what we were shown! Which we know from screencaps evidence they have chosen to leave out some hot scenes between the two of them. I wonder why and I want to know what happened on that roof that we didn't get to see besides conversation dang it!!!!!!!!!

Also this probably means nothing but I remember this particular guy I would be nervous around and I would always end up stumbling or something from not paying attention around him! Des has stumbled twice with chris, once in ep 5 going to diner and then again in ep 7 on the rock!! Like I said probably doesn't mean anything other than she is clumsy   but something I just noticed.

I'm starting to think that Chris is getting no respect. The new cover for US is out and shows Brooks & Drew again on the cover. I don't get it at all unless he's the most hidden f1 or 2 ever. Strange given that we know Chris is at the FRC.

I loved the outtake of Chris. It shows a side that I hadn't noticed before.

hey britt!!..great minds think alike!!
what keeps me wonder is : on her sketch book she illustrated Chris`s arms around her shoulder/waist. but we didnt get to see it on that peek-a-boo glimpse scene of the roof top on Ep.3??...im like....WTH??.......I believe wholeheartedly that particular event/roof top convo has been a milestone for the both of them..as they kept talking about it..
