veg_out wrote:ND, Chris sat down with Ali and with Frank before they met with the lead and left. I think that albean's sequence is correct. When Brooks leaves, I imagine that Des thinks he's gone for good. She wouldn't be that upset with Drew and at the RC if she thought it was an open door.
The MTA showed Des as this very assertive woman while it also showcased former leads' and audience comments about Des being so deserving of love. They're building support for her final choice and outcome esp by showing the tumult of the last two epis. Who will begrudge her anything if she goes through hell?
If they show Brooks dumping Des at the pier they will not be showing an assertive woman but rather a dumped woman. Because essentially that is what he seems to be doing. And worse if she takes him back at the end. How does that line up with the "assertive woman" they are trying to portray.
The only way she can be viewed as assertive is if she goes and cuts the chord on him herself - a little after the pier thing and careful consideration. IMO.

ND, I think they will save any confrontation with Brooks, if he doesn't return, until the ATFR. She will be assertive if she overcomes the heartbreak of losing him. Whether that means she says "no" to both guys or she picks one of them, she'd have to move beyond him.
Wow! This ending should be interesting.

Brooks is following Des, Chris and Drew...so, I don't think there is anything to be 'assertive' about.

She seems happy in this interview.
Oh - and James says that the guys that were let go earlier were "manly men." He is such a tool.

So this is a completely different lens on what goes down and I want to hear more. Can your please expound??? Thanks girl!
I thought I had it figure out but that is before I read the write up. Never mind.
And the speculation continues! I, for one, am enjoying this. I love that we don't know what happens!

Me too! So much speculation, I love it! And to think I almost tuned out right around the James fiasco.

To think I was bored with the first half of this season and thought I would sleep through the rest! It's getting good!

I don't think that Brooks not wanting to propose was a sufficient reason for his leaving. There has to be something more, imo.misticia wrote:SueSt wrote:Cecilia wrote:So, now am I leaning towards he doesn't want to propose, can't say he is fully in love with her, tells her this at the Verandah when they are supposed to have their FD (WAY TO RUIN THE FD BROOKS) which upsets Des, and then he leaves, freaks out (pacing, tears) goes back to St. James (in a limo or not) has a sit down with CH.
makes sense!
I guess that, even if he said he loved her but was not ready to propose, Des would have been so disappointed and upset that she couldn't handle a date with him.
