Just in addition to what ND has posted above...some people have said her honesty is what they like about Des the most..not hesitating to say she was in love with Brooks. And I get that....However, if you think about it, did the other guys, not F1, not deserve her honesty as well? If she is so sure about her feelings for Brooks, she should have just let Chris and Drew go because at this point, what's going on is virtually a farce. Chris and Drew have no idea she's declared her love for Brooks on camera twice while filming was still going on, but she does. To me, that is the worst kind of deception; pretending to have  feelings for these 2 sweet guys when all along you and the whole world knew, it wasn't true. If it's anybody other that Brooks, then I would feel really sorry for that person. It's like a slap in the face. And please don't tell me she didn't know her confessions would be put on air...of course, she did. Sorry for the rant...back to lurking now.

Well, to be fair, Brooks hasn't received her honesty, as well. She's never told HIM she loves him. She's never told HIM that she wants him to propose. All she's ever said to him is she was going into a run. And then at his HTD she said she was only jogging, to elicit his "then I'll run to you" comment. He thinks they're still in the running phase. (Which, to me, is kind of telling—she can tug that run out of him if she backs off a bit). He has not idea that she's told CH and the world that she's at the finish line and expecting a proposal.

So, whatever happens with Brooks in the future, it's partly her fault.

It's true. I'm starting to get more protective of Brooks and that makes me more willing to see him just walk away for good if he's not absolutely ready! I don't want to see him hurt on the show, but I'd much rather now than for him to someday down the road feel like his judgement CAN'T be trusted. His mom says she trusts his judgement completely. I hope he never feels that it can't be.

Last week she said one thing to Brooks and another thing to CH. He's kept in the dark by all of them and they're making that their theme—and in a sense, laughing at him. He's being absolutely sincere in his feelings and where he's at. It makes him look behind when he's just in the dark. She's not telling him information that might help him. They show how he reacted after Zac left (which I thought was interesting that they did show that), telling the other guys that Zac probably didn't see that coming. He's feeling for Zac and probably feeling for himself.

Brooks still thinks they're being playful and that they're jogging/running at this point, and that they're on the same page. The pressure he is feeling is because he does have feelings and is confused by them and he has no time, as he said during his HTD. He doesn't realize it's also coming from Des. He's being self-protective. He said during the HTD that he's had a wall around his heart this whole time, and still has. He used his date more to ask for advice and to get answers from his family about how he can know if he's in love. He is taking this totally seriously. He's never bought into the Bach bubble. He's realistic and honest, and eventually I think he might get a shock, a reaction he didn't expect, as evidenced by "This is the worst day of my life . . . There's nothing I can say." It sounds like he is blindsided.

A lot happens when you are sleeping! I don't know what to think, this season is just odd from editing to des and her connections with these guys.  I just want to watch and see what's happens! I agree with some that brooks has to be f1 an I also agree that it just too obvious. You can tell from the screencaps of her with chris and brooks in antigua that something doesnt add up to be. I don't think des knows what she wants! I have said it before that I think des in immature when it comes to love! I think she is one of those people who it's all about lust and feelings. I  don't think she is looking at ok this is a man I can spend the rest of my life with, a husband, a father! I think she is going purely off of connection and attraction and when that gone so will the relationship. I would never advise someone to choose their heart over mind, I think u have to consider both because the heart can be so deceiving! That's just my personally opinion from experience so u guys should probably just ignore me!!

I have to give the editors props for keeping the booger count down, but I can't recall another more humiliating scene for an F2 since the panty shot with Chelsea during Matt Grant's season. The only reason to leave that shot in was to make a sick mind like mine entertained.

I don't think Brooks is the obstacle Chris needs to overcome. And IF he does overcome that supposed obstacle because something happens between Des and Brooks, that doesn't look good on him. Plus, I really don't think what they choose to show about him and how they sort of make fun of him bodes well as the F1. Brooks, despite his little flaw that they've found to exploit, does get a respectful edit.

I think Chris' obstacle is probably that they're just in the friend zone and he deep-down knows it. That's why Brooks' chemistry with Des bothers him so much. Drew doesn't seem bothered by it. But I also think Drew is kind of living in a dream world of first love.

I wasn't sure about this but now that rs says chris ex is from Arizona I am positive. The girl on his yt account is his ex gf and that apartment is the one he got for the two of them in Portland. I guess after they broke up he moved to Seattle with his friend an friends fiancé. His ex name is ashley. She looks a lot like des to me but I agree with steve that is ex is prettier.

Based on what they are showing when she is with Chris, if she wanted a husband, a family man, he would be F1 and all would be said and done (IMO). I get the feeling that her decision is based on sexual attraction and not everything that will matter in the long run. :hidingchair

I don't necessarily think TPTB getting Chris' dad to show what he does in his occupation means that they are weird. Yes, it isn't something people want to see on television. That is usually done in the privacy of the chiropractor's office. Is it the grossest and weirdest thing in the world that people are making it out to be? No!

Yeah, they almost always showcase one of the HTD's as something out of the twilight zone.
I was focusing more on the personal nature with Chris--I mean c'mon they literally had the camera zoom in on his nose hairs as the hoover did it's dance. I guess we were lucky the camera didn't zoom over to get symbolic footage of the pet anteater in the backyard looking for dinner.
That could not be any more upfront and personal IMO--unless the cameraman had to do a retake to get a less full nostril.
