Re: Brooks Forester - Bachelorette 9 Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #6
As for being the next Bachelor, I don't even half way see that happening.
It's not Desiree's fault, if he leaves. I'm sure it's a manipulated reason, but it's not her fault if he decided to leave and she ends up not picking him.
Something does happen. Otherwise, Desiree wouldn't be sitting there saying she wants to go home. It ends happy for her, but it sure wasn't a smooth ride to it.
Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

Sometime you have to fall apart only to realize you need to be together!

Then we see Chris in the Limo looking upset. So that just leaves Brooks because no one is sure that he leaves except for the lack of screen caps that could have not be shown. What am I getting wrong with this?
Somebody leaves. Otherwise, why does Desiree want to go home?
We don't have even one cap of Brooks on any type of date, meeting the parents or last change date or final rose ceremony. All we have is him upset and in the limo.

OK, this season is so weird and out the norm that it is driving me crazy. Can't we just fast forward to the rose ceremony?

Ultimately, they make it look like everybody leaves her. Like Brooks said, "Zero guys are left." Maybe that's exactly what happens.
Since you don't see Drew in a limo, he is the one who leaves. The other two she sends home at different times in limos.
But the only one they show really fighting for her, really fighting the situation, really having a hard time with it, an abnormally hard time for cast aside contestants, is Brooks. And they end with a close-up of Brooks sobbing and her saying she wants to go home.
That right there puts the point right on Brooks. His crying scenes are unusual in the preview and then he does become the focus at the end of that preview. Him and Des, both in deep pain, both giving up (she wants to just go home, he is sobbing his heart out, no longer pacing and wishing for some solution). THAT'S a positive sign, to me.
I STILL don't see how he wanted to go home when he ends up sobbing his heart out like that. He's heartbroken there at the end.

Even if something was afoot with Brooks, he'd still be on the island for Des to come and fetch him. She could also be at the door when he opens it. Sorry, I'm in and out today so I need to play ketchup . Thank you thank you SFrank for the Sc. Des leans into Brooks and the way she does it is very intimate. This girl has it bad for Brooks. Also thar fact that Brooks talks about the upcoming Finale shows he's WAS THERE. To the End. The End:yes:
True. So very true. Otherwise, how would he know about any twists and turns after him, and know who won.
I think it's her at the door. Or at least someone coming to talk to him or take him to go talk to her.
I think it's possible that momentarily everyone HAS left Des at the end. Until she goes and talks to him.

When was this? And it sounds like Brooks spilled the ending..I guess he doesn't worry about being sued..atem wrote:agentcurls wrote:Between the low ratings and the spoiler, they are doing some crazy editing to conjure up more interest. I'm sure it's all so much simpler than they are making it seem in these previews. I'm trying not to get my panties twisted, but it's hard!
From that girl that watched the episode with Brooks, he said that the ending is intense and that there are weird twists.

“This season gets very emotional, and that has everything to do with Des,” notes Harrison. “These guys see that she’s a catch. They really start falling in love with this woman quickly.” He adds, “From here on out, these guys are laying it all on the line. … We definitely have some Mesnicks coming up — I don’t know if it’s a full Mesnick, but we have some pretty solid Mesnicks coming up.”

I sometimes wonder if Des doesn't send Brooks home. That would definitely explain his intense tears, as well; him being beside himself not knowing how he can change her mind.
The surprise twist is that she could pull a Mesnick right on the show and end up wanting him instead, knowing she'd made a mistake. Which would make a solid Mesnick on the show. Not a full one (after the show), but a solid one.
Doesn't she say that she learned on the show the difference between what she wants and wants she needs, or something?
So, to me, that would explain why she continues on with Drew and Chris. Brooks was not an original F2. But, like Jason, she picked wrong and soon realized it. And they have to bring Brooks back. That would definitely be out of left field.
I think maybe Des breaks Brooks' heart. She's sad and heartbroken and wants to give up and go home and realizes she made a mistake and CH has to fix it.
That would explain Brooks crying so bitterly, looking so lost in the limo, and why he doesn't seem to feel he has any power or control over the situation (pacing around among the trees saying it's the "worst day of (his) life" and "there's nothing (he) can say."
Yeah, now I'm beginning to think that Desiree actually sends him home. Maybe Des puts Brooks through the wringer.
In the end we'll see how we saw it all along, but it comes out of left field that she wants him back.
............
What do you think? And where would I put this on other threads?
I think it has to do with all the crying and tears. Jason Mesnick had a breakdown towards the end and since its a plural Mesnick, I think he is referring to the guys getting very emotional and not Des flipping back and forth though that would to be fair be a Mesnick did do that as well but he only did it once.
Whose to say one of the guys doesn't pull one, too. Like maybe Drew.
He may be talking about the emotions. But I am inclined to think that when he says "some Mesnicks" he's not meaning plural. He just says Mesnicks to muddy the waters. Because, when he's getting more specific he says "I don't know if it's a full Mesnick", then reverts back to plural. He's thinking of one specific case. It almost seems like he's using plural to not be too obvious and then he slips up when he focuses in and says a single 'it'. He also says "some" Mesnicks instead of a more specific number, like 'a few' or 'a couple'. 'Some' is very generic and can just be plucked out of space to muddy the waters.
Just an idea. May not hold much water, but it has some merit.
I didn't see Jason choosing whom he did, either. I thought for sure it would be Molly. Saw their connection. I could see Des doing it if she's a little blind for a moment. When most people think of a "Mesnick" they're thinking of that one time.
Do I get a cookie if I'm right?
Just as much as you might not see Des doing that to Brooks, I can't see Brooks willingly leaving Des. Why is he crying so hard? I think she might've broken his heart.
you are right, I just can't picture either of them wanting to push the other away. Obviously there is some type of "moment" but it is just hard to tell if it is btw just Bres, or if it is the situation as a whole....

Maybe the "2" dates with Drew is really just the same date, I mean the dates go all day and all night when it is FD time and I've seen plenty of F3 date wardrobe changes. I think Drew is F3 and the Bres breakdown hits the fan around F2 time.
