I hardly doubt Brooks is default F1. Not with the kisses and looks and that already-boyfriend-girlfriend-comfort between them. I never once believed in the DeAnna & Jesse (default F1) romance.

I'll be darn bummed if he doesn't get a MTP and if we don't see him an episode and if Drew becomes the default F2, or if Brooks is the default F1, or if Brooks isn't the F1 at all.
The End.
i think brooks just didn't drink the bachelorette kool aid. maybe he took a few sips though. obviously, they have a great connection but he hasn't turned off his brain. he knows she's dating all these other guys and it's a tv show. on their first 1-1 he says he really doesn't want to talk about the situation with his dad and then a few moments later we see he does. i'm sure they really pressured him to open up like that so we do see him from the beginning not really wanting to move so fast. then, he doesn't care that much about the group date roses until a few more episodes in. in the preview we hear a bit of discomfort on his part with taking des home to meet his family. while i think he likes des i think the pace of the show is a bit much for him. he seems like a free-spirited guy and probably doesn't like being pressured into acting before he's ready. i know i wouldn't want to bring home to meet my family some tv boyfriend who is dating other women--awkward. bringing someone home is a big deal for some and brooks says as much. there is the issue of the fantasy suite. then, he knows he will be

Maybe if Brooks wasn't that familiar with other seasons of this franchise, he would think it a weird twist or something shocking, but would be typical Fleissing for us regular viewers and analyzers?

I don't see what's so strange about what he said. Yeah, maybe he doesn't know about other seasons. Maybe the twists are not as they seem. I've never thought they'd be like another season and have always thought we might be barking up the wrong tree.. *Holding out hope for better things for Brooks on this show*

From that girl that watched the episode with Brooks, he said that the ending is intense and that there are weird twists.
Would that be the same girl that said he seemed happy and yelling at the tv when the other guys kissed her?

Yeah, the one tweeting that she watched with him. Which I don't get.
Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

Wow, I'm surprised that he said that! Wondering if he really left now? That's a weird way to describe it coming from him, no?

That's a great post and seems to fit with his character. I don't think he'd want to hurt des but would want to be upfront about having realistic expectations. Like, maybe he's feels like I am falling for her, care about her and would want to try a real relationship after the show - but declarations of forever and proposing may just seem crazy to him. Wouldn't that just make me love him more. For him to get so emotionally conflicted about it seems to show how seriously he is taking this. How refreshing and it would likely be the most genuine reaction ever on this show.

Totally unnatural, and that's why a part of me would rejoice if he escaped the talons of this show (and the lead). I agree. I know he's doing all that. I like that he doesn't seem to be worrying about competing and having some kind of gimmick and forcing things. He's willing to sit back. I love that about him. Love, love, love. He isn't acting like he's on a show. He's real. He is going his own pace and not worrying about where he's at. And for that I'm proud of him and love him and respect him (fan for life). I have no problem with him leaving and questioning and doubting how he feels. I look forward to seeing that drama and the tears and his reasons, and what happens. It will show who he is, even more. I don't even have a problem with him hurting Desiree (if he does). That's life and dating and it's messy. I am proud that he'll stand up for how he feels and where he's at and will be honest (at least I hope he is). And I hope he doesn't come back if he isn't SURE.
I'd rather he stayed away rather than doing something that he doesn't feel 100%.
We don't know what's going to go on this season and where he'll be. I'm not assuming anything because no one seems to have any answers.
The only thing I don't like is the thought of not being able to see him at all the dates and in all the episodes. I want to see how he interacts with her family. The HTD and the MTP are my favorite parts of the show. To not be able to see my favorite on the MTP sucks, so I hope he's there. I don't want to be cheated out of that. I've been looking forward to that for a long time. :atomic: And if we can't see that well, that's really a let-down. I don't want to see Drew and Brooks. Boring. That's the only thing that sucks IF he leaves when people think he does. I would rather he didn't really leave at all—especially if he's just going to come back. It would be better if he just stuck around the island.
I'm holding out hope like a waving candle. :bigsigh:
As for coming back (IF he even leaves) I wouldn't have problems with them not working out after the show is completely over.
All I want is to not be cheated out of my Brooks time (selfish) and for him to have made the right decision that he 100% feels good about it. And if he didn't make the best decision, hopefully have a better experience than Jef did afterward. And continue to be visible to his fans.
Frankly, I'd love for him to be the F1 AND next Bachelor. Ultimate. Desiree is so cute and if it does work out, that's great, too.
I also want some answers, dang it. Someone figure something out!

I've never believed that he does leave. So, it'd certainly make me happy.
I really don't think it's as dramatic as people are thinking. "Weird twists" sounds better. Twists are better than tears and rifts and a long vacation in between.

I agree with all of this in theory but THAT is the show...Brooks knows this and acknowledges this in his AC hollywood interview.
Its not season 1, the show has been on for over a decade.

Yeah, the one tweeting that she watched with him. Which I don't get.
What don't you get about it? Her aunt is friends with him. She isn't from Utah, is visiting family and got invited to watch it with him. She's just one lucky-duck. But I have to love her attitude. She really is taking it very casually. I love that she calls him a celebrity. She doesn't seem to be gaga over him, which is refreshing. She just thinks he's sweet and funny and "awesome" just like on the show.
What gets me is that he supposedly told either her aunt or this girl herself who wins. (I guess if he knows he is at least F2—that's kind of a giveaway). I'm surprised he hasn't tried to shut her up, or warned her not to say anything. They were SO much more strict with Jef. She's sitting there telling people (probably friends) to DM her if they want to know who wins. I was tempted to do so, but I'm not a friend and would not know how to explain myself.
I just like her attitude. She's really cute, too. She has nothing to do with a "celebrity", but they're friends now.
