My happy ending to Des' fairy tale is that she snapped out if her infatuation with Brooks (who she thought she wanted) and decided her true love is Drew ( who she needed for a happily ever after).

Wasn't it a nanny or something ? No sorry that was Melissa being F1 on jasons season which we heard through a nanny.
But i do remember a strong rumour on fort that jason was f1. I bought that hook line and sinker (plus I loved jason) as I thought that Deanna would never be so heartless as to take him to the frc and dump him considering Ty. How wrong I was. Plus I just couldn't see it either with Jesse which was confusing.

I loved Jason. DeAnna and Jesse... I mean that was one of the wierdest matches ever. But I guess DeAnna felt pressure to choose someone since she had lectured Brad to within an inch of his life for not choosing anyone. Personally I have no issues with Jesse or DeAnna... but as far as a love match... OMG. Oddest couple ever???

When he said he felt she had known him forever she whispered I feel like that too.
Her nodding when he said he loved her at the HTD. She did did a smile nod during their 1on1 too before they kissed and when he whispered he is falling for her in the middle of their kiss she dug her fingers into his neck.
Just really small things.

I agree with you : if we didn't get the spoilers, the logical F1 would be Drew.

Why? Just because Brooks and Des have a meltdown? If Brooks is there at the end, like this magazine suggests, it's logical Brooks could be F1, too. :Smiley: 

It's hard to reconcile with the spoilers... so yes, he could be F1.  But taking the spoiler out of the equation, and considering all the points I laid out in a previous post, I also personally think it makes a better story (someone previously wrote so convincingly about the archtypal fairytale...) to have Des realize that what she wanted was "there all along" vs. having to convince or pressure someone into realizing their true feelings.

I love how you worded this comment! Well said!  I do think that would make a much better story and a true fairytale.  Drew has been in the background for most of this season, but he has become more prominent with every episode.  He has climbed up from F4 to F3 and now F2. This is quite fascinating.

Of course, we are not editing or manipulating anything here. That's all on the tptb. They love to throw people off, use misdirection and smoke and mirrors.

To quote misticia, it's all in the body language... and maybe that's part of the reason TPTB kept Drew hidden for so long...   Also, I have the sneaking suspicion that they have edited Des' reaction to Drew now on at least the last 2 RC talks with CH.  Yes, she's said she loves Brooks and wants him to propose... but based on her very intimate interactions with Drew I expected more positive comments from Des about Drew....

That is what bothered me when Des spoke with CH. We all saw how great her HTD with Drew really was. We all saw her body language again with Drew and how she couldn't let go of him and loved kissing him so much. Are we meant to believe that she is simply just infatuated with him?

All we heard from Des was about Brooks and Chris. Yet her HTD with Chris did not show the kind of intensity of feeling or intimacy that one would expect. She definitely likes him. But I don't see anything more than that. Yet it seems that they have been pretty obvious in presenting Brooks and Chris as F2 Almost too obvious I might add. However, what we see is Drew coming on stronger every week. Yet she doesn't really have much to say about him in that chat with CH.

I could be wrong, but I think that Des wasn't expecting the last episode to be edited and shown in the way it went down. In her episode seven blog, she said that, in the next episode, questions arise about one of the guys and that the ups and downs never ends. Yet, we didn't see her having questions about anyone, instead they made it appear as if she was more settled about everyone's placement in her mind.

I don't know if people are MEANT to think that. It's hard to distinguish what is physical attraction and what is love on this show. I mean, it was hard to figure out what Emily thought of Arie, too. Everyone argued that because she couldn't stop kissing him, couldn't get enough of him that she must love him.

Des seemed to enjoy kissing all four of the men this week. In fact, Desiree just seems to enjoy most anyone as long as they are passionate. (Yes, I know that she didn't go for it with a couple.) I wonder if her deep kisses have added to the confusion with several of the guys as they are let go. In real life, most women that I hang with are not interested in kissing most guys they meet!! LOL As the bachelorette, Des gets a small pass on that account -- if there is no kissing compatibility, there most likely will be none in the bedroom either!

With Des, I tend to not look for how much kissing there is, but who is initiating the kisses. If Des has to be initiator, that guy is just not that into her!! Similarly, if Des has to be the "man" in the relationship and force his hand, then he is not strong enough for a life-long deal.

Obviously, just my opinion. I don't intend to sway any of your opinions.

It's better to pay more attention to the lead's body language....she's definitely physically attracted to Drew & Chris, but when she is with Brooks, not only is she physically attracted, but she seeks him out in the crowd to get closer to him, looks at him adoringly, and hangs onto his every word in comparison. She also does more open-mouthed kisses with him. When you watch Des' body language more closely, Brooks is the logical F1, spoiler or not.

I totally agree, AC!!!! From everything I've seen, read, etc., ultimately Brooks is F1, Chris F2 (though I find him a bit boring, though nice), and Drew F3. I sure do hope Drew will be the next Bachelor - he is such a sweetheart, has such a sweet spirit, and from what I've heard, he's doing just fine now. Can't get enough of him!

My concern with Drew as F1 is that he is too hidden...practically non-existent in story and unfortunately substance where Des and her feelings are concerned.

Des has said NOTHING about how she feels about Drew or how she feels when she is around him. It's all superficial and generic. And when you contrast that with what she says about Chris and Brooks its a whole other ballgame. Plus whether its her or not the blogs mean something and ate meant to support the show and storylines. No mentions of Drew subtle or otherwise is not good sign, IMO.  

I posted this in another thread but I would encourage people to go back if you don't believe it. Not even a "I have strong feelings for Drew. or "when im around Drew I feel..." ZERO. No PIs from Des about Drew. it's all being narrated by him and him alone.


From their most pivotal dates...

1 on 1 date:
- He is reserved but romantic
- He's romantic and passionate about romance (WHAHH?!)
- Our relationship has gone a little slower but its friendship and thats a great foundation for a relationship.
- I feel closer to Drew after he shared his story (dad story)
- There is something about him I trust (she said this twice)
- It feels comfortable with Drew
- The kiss on the wall was hot and made me feel special (VO: I'm there and I'm his. I hope the moment lasts forever)
- To Drew she says - He strong and emotional and would be a great partner and has all the qualities I am looking for

- Drew is the best looking guy
- He is sincere and can see through his eyes.
- I am finding out if he husband material (during her talk with Chris)

Good points sfrank! And it is weird that Des hasn't spoken more enthusiastically about Drew... but maybe its the editing. Her body language doesn't lie!
