Very late to comment on the episode but I truly loved each hometown date and Desiree being so awesome with all families.

Zak - loved the random cuteness of feeding kids snocones and dressing up as a mascot; loved his families reaction to him going shirtless "what a weirdo" and loved his description of Desiree as a beautiful person - I agree; his mom was great too.

Chris - the baseball playing was so cute. Des seemed in her element just hanging and having fun; his moms concern was sweet; nose thing too much info. me

Drew - nice family and touching throughout. I don't get anything from him and Des together, but it was a heartwarming hometown. What a strong and positive family.

Brooks - loved him almost dunking them to climb across the canoe for a kiss; loved his obvious adoration of his mom; loved the brothers pushing Brooks away to group hug Des; loved that he idolizes his sisters marriage; loved it all really.

Actually, I love this season. What a great final group of people, including Des.

Thanks again for your thoughts Sophie. I am trying to maintain neutral this time as I really don't have a fave per se..I just see edited qualities in Drew and Chris that resemble my hubs so having someone rip on them or have so much negative on them, kinda stirs up the "growly wife" in me. LOL. I guess I have never understood why it is necessary to make the other guys look bad to make your fave look better is all.  Hugesmile

charriotoffire wrote:Just watched the last epi.  Desiree is a really pretty woman. Love how athletic she is and she
can hang with all kinds of families.

Why is it that Brooks always appears like he's under the weather?  He always seems like he's recovering from

a stomach virus,  his eyes are red, skin blotchy and his voice weak?  I have this impression that if there will be a bachelor marathon, Brooks will be the first

to pass out before making it to the first two yards.  Also his mom knows he's so not ready to get married.  "He will get married when the right person comes

along" is code word for "No way, no go".

-Zak's family is so much fun. His mom is so cute and genuinely adores Des.

-So sorry for Chris' ex.  She was piled on on national tv,  his sister made sure america knows she's an insecure unlikable biatch.
Chris' sister and Des' brother Nate should date, so they can leave their siblings' dating life alone.
and I'd rather hear the poetry for 100th time than witness the snot draining.  But Chris is super super nice. He is the type who will NEVER EVER cheat on you

-Drew.  (I didnt know he has chicken legs)    I like Drew's dad.  Drew is way much better a fantasy object, in pictures that in real life. I get
why women salivates on him.  But he is not a man yet,  he is a pubescent boy pretending to be a man.  I know he's been through a lot in his life, who
doesnt but.. he just doesnt exude the raw animal power of a man.  If he'll be the bachelor,  he will look like the boytoy next to the overly made up
hoochies that will join the show.  Also it doesnt help that Des has such huge manly hands.  They look monstrous  next to Drew's perfect, dainty puny features.

I can't even imagine Nate and Drew in the same room.  Des needs someone his brother could respect. I dont mean to imply that Des needs to marry a
gang leader, but just someone that Nate will not make fun of.  I can see Nate getting under Drew's skin and it could get ugly fast.  I dont
think Des is close to his brother,  but he's still family and I believe you marry the person, you marry the family.

your post is always enjoyable, CF. thanks for complementing my boy!!...giggling

It's hard to explain what I mean by soft...not exactly metrosexual like Drew with the hair and I don't think he is gay or anything, just his voice, his mannerisms etc., don't seem to have that certain strength that I like in a male lead. I would have a problem with Drew or Chris for the same reason.

Brooks could be a great bachelor  since he can cater to women over 40. Imagine more than half of this board will probably join if he's the bachelor!

If Jef Holm and Brooks Forrester will be co- Bachelors they could cover women of all ages,  Jef Holm 16 -21  Brooks will take care of the senior citizens.

This!! rofl  Also your recap is hilarious! Hey, maybe henry cavill can be our next bachelor! Now talk about manly

I am well over 40 but Brooks does absolutely zippo, nada, nothing for me.  Now if you brought back Graham or Roberto  that would be a different story.  Manly men.

As far as Jef goes, where is the "blech" emote? Way to effeminate for my taste.

Des' explanation to Zak why she let him go is going to be interesting . She basically feels that same way towards the other guys excluding the F1. Differing degrees but still along the same mindset . IMO

I have enjoyed reading your comments this season, but per the bolded do you mind explaining that a little more for me? I can't understand what you meant by that and here's my reason. I watch this show for the entertainment value of it. I seriously doubt we ever get another marriage out of it and I can understand why, but why would you be putting yourself through misery by coming on this wonderful site to discuss the show?

I think Love_Me and San work very, very hard and most times are unappreciated for for all they do to give us a place where we can laugh, cry, rejoice, question and so much more, so you putting "misery" in a sentence where you were speaking of this site kind of blew my mind.

I don't always have a favorite nor do I always like the lead, but what keeps me coming back here are the wonderful people that post about the show and are here for EACH of us if we need something that totally has nothing to do with the show. When I lost my sister last month I couldn't have asked for or prayed for a better person than Love_Me during that time.. She and San don't only care about the site and the show, they care about EACH of us that post here.

I don't mean to be rude in any way, please remember that and I hope you meant misery just because you felt like your favorite wasn't gonna "win", but also please believe me when I tell you that there is SO much more to this site than just rooting for a favorite to "win". I've had seasons when I liked someone night one and couldn't stand them by the time they left, but it was the person MF wanted me to see not necessarily the person they are in real life. I realize that..

Thanks for taking time to read this and I'm sorry it's so long, but I'm truly scratching my head as to why you would think you were putting yourself through misery by coming on this site. : (

Wow, LoveDovez, what a terrific post. So sorry for your loss, please accept my condolences.
This is my first season posting and I'm hooked. I can totally appreciate the interactions and friendship, even among those that are supporting a different F1... I mean it's not really about the show or the winner, is it. It's really about feeling motivated to share our feelings with each other... like you said, feelings that only sometimes are related to the show!
I'm already getting sad about the end of the season .... like where will I go??? (actually for this relative newbie, what does happen? do people 'stop by' occasionally??)
Thanks again for sharing... hope to see you again soon.

All the best, Sue

Hey Sue!

Don't worry, we still come around, talk about the couples or past contestants, plus in a couple of months we'll start sleuthing the new season as they start filming :)
